Link House Care and Nursing Home offers residential, nursing and specialist dementia care in the desirable, welcoming and leafy surroundings of Raynes Park on the Surrey/South London border.

Recently renovated, Link House is designed with residents in mind and is fully equipped to provide care in a pleasant and comfortable setting. The home has 52 rooms with ample opportunity for residents to personalise their living space. The home has undergone substantial redecoration and updating of late that provides modern and homely furnishing and comfort to everyone at the home, with assisted bathrooms and shower rooms for those with mobility issues as well as luxurious and warm communal and individual spaces.

Link House offers a wide range of daily activities tailored to individual preferences, with something always going on. This enables residents to enjoy their hobbies and interests and helps them to continue living fulfilling lives with their wellbeing paramount. I am very disappointed with the service received at Link House. Do not send your loved ones to this care home under any circumstances. My father who was a previous resident there has severe Parkinson's and dementia. On several occasions, he pressed the bell to go to the toilet and was kept waiting for
over half an hour. He had no choice but to go in his nappy. On another occasion after complaining about bladder pain, the nurse on duty failed to recognise symptoms of a UTI and delayed involving the GP. My father was then sent to A&E for a catheter change as it could not be done in the care home despite having nurses on the premises and inadequate equipment. When he went into the ambulance he was given no water or food. They even failed to give him his timed Parkinson's medication to the ambulance staff. Is this how you treat an 85-year-old man with disabilities? I feel for the huge amount of money paid per week it was daylight robbery.

The carers always treat Mum with respect, kindness and dignity. The team are always friendly and keeps us as relatives informed. They make us feel part of the big family. The team always make sure Mum is in good health and always keeps me informed of any issues. The team are all amazing and looks after

My Mother has only been a resident in Link House for a short time but to date, I have been pleased with the care she has received. When you enter there is a warm homely atmosphere and a courteous greeting. All members of staff have been friendly, helpful, and attentive and I feel that my Mother has
been treated with dignity and respect. As my Mother chose not to get up the staff kindly moved her bed so that she could look out of the window which I thought was very considerate. Although she has a poor appetite my Mother has been offered a wide variety of food choices and lots of tea which she always enjoys and appreciates.

Very pleased with the home Link House and the great care my Dad received, everyone was very kind and compassionate, and although Dad was near the end of his life nothing was too much trouble, even the catering staff went out of their way to offer Dad alternatives of food in attempts to get him to eat
more,
everyone worked hard to look after Dad and us when visiting him.
Could not have wished for a better place for Dad to be.

I have been so impressed with the care my friend has received at Link House, the staff are lovely, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The room is clean and of a good size, the food looks delicious and is plentiful, the Chef made a visit to my friend to find out what she liked/disliked. There is excellent
communication around the home between management and residents/friends. There are regular meetings and more recently, a newsletter. My friend says that the home has improved in recent months, especially with improved activities. I feel my friend is well cared for and safe at Link House

As I had never visited a care home I had no idea what to expect, I was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment I entered Link House, I was treated with care and kindness. The management was very helpful and informative. The staff on the floor my Aunt stays are attentive and caring, they responded
quickly and efficiently to her call bell. The Senior in Charge is very knowledgeable, especially around dementia and was able to reassure us that my Aunt was ok. My Aunt needs help with meals and the staff took time to feed her what looked and smelled like a really nice meal. The Activity lady came and asked me about my aunt's life history and what she liked to do before moving into care, she said it helps her incorporate what residents like to do into the activities she offers. I noticed the week's activities included a trip out in a minibus. I would recommend Link House as a lovely care home to my friends and family.

Over the past few months, I have visited my friend and have noticed a marked improvement in recent weeks. The staff are very caring and always have time for her, the management team always have their doors open and are open to communication at any time. The food is wonderful, home-cooked, and looks
appetising - a little more choice and a little less garlic for my friend's taste. The home is attractive, spacious, and is always clean. Activities are improving with trips out and 1:1 sessions in my friend's room. Nothing is too much trouble for the handyman. I would highly recommend Link House.

The standard of care that mum received at Link House was second to none. The home is in a really nice, green and peaceful location and is very well maintained.
All mum's special needs, such as taking the time to cut her food up and feed her because she could no longer manage herself, were catered
for and she built some great relationships with the care staff. It was the most relaxed and happiest we had seen mum in all the time she was receiving care services. The staff made a real effort to make mum look her best every day. They even cut and washed her hair for the first time in months after a very long hospital stay and it made such a difference.
We had regular communication from the staff and management, especially when things took a turn for the worse. Sadly, mum passed away when she was readmitted into hospital from the home but, even afterwards, the home took the trouble to send us a condolence card, which was really appreciated and thoughtful.

Staff are kind to the residents, and mum's bedroom and bathroom and dining room are always clean. Mum seems happy and settled at Link House but would like to see more activities to stimulate the residents for example an exercise program like chair yoga/exercises or activities to help them.

I am very happy with the overall experience for my loved one. However, there seem to be very few meaningful activities for those residents who are able to participate. In fact, I have yet to see any activities that would enrich their lives.

I am the Power of Attorney for a friend who has double dementia, the home is like a 5-star hotel. It is clean, residents have their own room and bathroom and are well looked after by medical care workers and staff. I have just put her husband in the home for some respite and they have treated both of
them with care and compassion.

I chose Link House care home after only one visit, as I found it would be the best support for my dad, who needed permanent care. The staff are very welcoming and are genuinely interested in making sure my dad's needs are met on a daily basis. The home is clean and tidy, and each resident has a well-maintained
and comfortable room, as well as is encouraged to bring personal items to make it a home from home. The staff have always been attentive and ready to listen to any suggestions that I requested for my dad's preferences. My dad has settled in well and has made friends, which have encouraged him to join in, and he is so much happier in himself. Visitors are encouraged, and nothing seems too much trouble. I am confident in the decision made for my dad to move into Link house and that I do not need to be concerned about his welfare or personal needs as all are taken into account. I would highly recommend Link House for anyone thinking about care needs for a loved one.

The staff and management are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The home is always clean and the food of a high standard. My only reservation is entertainment/stimulation for the residents, I'm not fully aware of any programs.


I would highly recommend it.

I'm surprised by some of the poor reviews. Dad has been in for 18 months and we've had no real complaints. Management was a bit chaotic to say the least during Covid, but perhaps that was to be expected.

My aunt has been a resident at Link House for a year. She is very happy and settled. The care has been exemplary and all the staff have been very kind and caring. The management team are always on hand to answer questions. I am confident my aunt is in a safe place and I am happy that she is happy.

I am writing this feeling really sad that my father spent his last ten months in Link House and I blame myself for the miserable end he did not deserve. My father arrived looking well-nourished and mentally stimulated, and we felt confident that he would receive the care he deserved. However, he was
left for many many hours in his room with no stimulation and spent many weekends left in bed due to staff shortages. He was placed in a room next to a lady with dementia who was very vocal 24 hours a day! We asked for him to be moved, but due to his medical needs, this was not possible. A carer had spilt some water on his floor and proceeded to wipe this up with my father’s flannel and return this to his bathroom for future use. We had complained many times about various problems, but nothing changed.
He said he was always put to bed at 6 pm, but when he sadly passed away, he was not found until after 8 am the next morning, so there had clearly been no checks on him throughout the night.

Please close this care home down. I have seen a huge list of all the extremely poor treatment my elderly grandmother received in the last few weeks of her life. I am speaking for all the elderly people there who do not get visitors from their families and cannot speak for themselves. Please do not send
your elderly loved ones to Link House. The management does not admit to doing anything wrong and does not say they will make it right for future residents.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
My room was spacious and particularly nice to have my own private facilities. The food was very good with plenty of quantity. Only very occasionally, if nothing on the set menu was suitable, very pleased to offered another choice.
