I have been so impressed with the care my friend has received at Link House, the staff are lovely, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The room is clean and of a good size, the food looks delicious and is plentiful, the Chef made a visit to my friend to find out what she liked/disliked. There is excellent communication around the home between management and residents/friends. There are regular meetings and more recently, a newsletter. My friend says that the home has improved in recent months, especially with improved activities. I feel my friend is well cared for and safe at Link House

As I had never visited a care home I had no idea what to expect, I was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment I entered Link House, I was treated with care and kindness. The management was very helpful and informative. The staff on the floor my Aunt stays are attentive and caring, they responded quickly and efficiently to her call bell. The Senior in Charge is very knowledgeable, especially around dementia and was able to reassure us that my Aunt was ok. My Aunt needs help with meals and the staff took time to feed her what looked and smelled like a really nice meal. The Activity lady came and asked me about my aunt's life history and what she liked to do before moving into care, she said it helps her incorporate what residents like to do into the activities she offers. I noticed the week's activities included a trip out in a minibus. I would recommend Link House as a lovely care home to my friends and family.

Over the past few months, I have visited my friend and have noticed a marked improvement in recent weeks. The staff are very caring and always have time for her, the management team always have their doors open and are open to communication at any time. The food is wonderful, home-cooked, and looks appetising - a little more choice and a little less garlic for my friend's taste. The home is attractive, spacious, and is always clean. Activities are improving with trips out and 1:1 sessions in my friend's room. Nothing is too much trouble for the handyman. I would highly recommend Link House.

The standard of care that mum received at Link House was second to none. The home is in a really nice, green and peaceful location and is very well maintained.
All mum's special needs, such as taking the time to cut her food up and feed her because she could no longer manage herself, were catered for and she built some great relationships with the care staff. It was the most relaxed and happiest we had seen mum in all the time she was receiving care services. The staff made a real effort to make mum look her best every day. They even cut and washed her hair for the first time in months after a very long hospital stay and it made such a difference.

We had regular communication from the staff and management, especially when things took a turn for the worse. Sadly, mum passed away when she was readmitted into hospital from the home but, even afterwards, the home took the trouble to send us a condolence card, which was really appreciated and thoughtful.

Staff are kind to the residents, and mum's bedroom and bathroom and dining room are always clean. Mum seems happy and settled at Link House but would like to see more activities to stimulate the residents for example an exercise program like chair yoga/exercises or activities to help them.

I am very happy with the overall experience for my loved one. However, there seem to be very few meaningful activities for those residents who are able to participate. In fact, I have yet to see any activities that would enrich their lives.

I am the Power of Attorney for a friend who has double dementia, the home is like a 5-star hotel. It is clean, residents have their own room and bathroom and are well looked after by medical care workers and staff. I have just put her husband in the home for some respite and they have treated both of them with care and compassion.

I chose Link House care home after only one visit, as I found it would be the best support for my dad, who needed permanent care. The staff are very welcoming and are genuinely interested in making sure my dad's needs are met on a daily basis. The home is clean and tidy, and each resident has a well-maintained and comfortable room, as well as is encouraged to bring personal items to make it a home from home. The staff have always been attentive and ready to listen to any suggestions that I requested for my dad's preferences. My dad has settled in well and has made friends, which have encouraged him to join in, and he is so much happier in himself. Visitors are encouraged, and nothing seems too much trouble. I am confident in the decision made for my dad to move into Link house and that I do not need to be concerned about his welfare or personal needs as all are taken into account. I would highly recommend Link House for anyone thinking about care needs for a loved one.

The staff and management are friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The home is always clean and the food of a high standard. My only reservation is entertainment/stimulation for the residents, I'm not fully aware of any programs.

I would highly recommend it.

I'm surprised by some of the poor reviews. Dad has been in for 18 months and we've had no real complaints. Management was a bit chaotic to say the least during Covid, but perhaps that was to be expected.

I am writing this feeling really sad that my father spent his last ten months in Link House and I blame myself for the miserable end he did not deserve. My father arrived looking well-nourished and mentally stimulated, and we felt confident that he would receive the care he deserved. However, he was left for many many hours in his room with no stimulation and spent many weekends left in bed due to staff shortages. He was placed in a room next to a lady with dementia who was very vocal 24 hours a day! We asked for him to be moved, but due to his medical needs, this was not possible. A carer had spilt some water on his floor and proceeded to wipe this up with my father’s flannel and return this to his bathroom for future use. We had complained many times about various problems, but nothing changed.

He said he was always put to bed at 6 pm, but when he sadly passed away, he was not found until after 8 am the next morning, so there had clearly been no checks on him throughout the night.

Please close this care home down. I have seen a huge list of all the extremely poor treatment my elderly grandmother received in the last few weeks of her life. I am speaking for all the elderly people there who do not get visitors from their families and cannot speak for themselves. Please do not send your elderly loved ones to Link House. The management does not admit to doing anything wrong and does not say they will make it right for future residents.

My room was spacious and particularly nice to have my own private facilities. The food was very good with plenty of quantity. Only very occasionally, if nothing on the set menu was suitable, very pleased to offered another choice.

The staff at Link House are all amazing. They go above and beyond to provide great quality of care for my mum she is very happy at Link House. She laughs and jokes with the staff and engages in different activities with the help of the activity coordinator which helps stimulant the residents and bring out their creative side.
They provide great quality of care which has given my mum a good quality of life. Respecting her dignity and tending to her needs making sure she is safe, happy and comfortable.

This allows me to be able to sleep at night knowing that she is being cared for 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

I live in Australia and rely on the lovely caring staff to look after my grandmother. They are always caring and polite and put my mind at ease that my grandmother is ok. I see her regularly on video chats and any questions I have are always answered, I always receive regular updates and videos of my grandmother. Also, my grandmother is much better than what she was when living on her own, especially as she was getting quite sick before from dementia and knowing she is happier puts my mind at ease. So thank you to the staff I see every week, you really put my mind at ease.

Although my Mum was only in Link House for a month I found the staff to be very compassionate and kind. They were helpful at all times and very easy to just chat with - no robots!

And when my Mum passed away I received a lovely card from them with a handwritten message which meant so much as it showed, at a glance, the love she was surrounded by.

Me and my family find the home to be friendly, caring and welcoming. We find the staff to be caring. At times it appears the staff have more than enough to do but they seem to cope.

At times my mother appears to be waiting longer than necessary in the toilet - but I am sure that is rare.
