My mum has been a resident at Lodore for nearly 7 years. I can remember when my brother and I first visited immediately realising that Lodore was a really special care home and very much wanting Mum to be able to join their community. She had had a nasty fall and it was very scary to suddenly have to
find a place that could give her the support that she needed. We've always felt so lucky that they were able to offer Mum a place.
I love the scale of the building - it's not too big and feels like a proper home with the beautiful wooden panelled hallway and rooms radiating out from the central hallways, ensuring that all the residents feel connected and that staff are always close by.
The level of care is exceptionally good, it's the perfect mix of high professional standards combined with gentle, thoughtful care and understanding. The atmosphere is wonderful too, very warm and friendly, genuinely beautifully client-centred, with lots of love and gentle humour too.

My father was admitted to Lodore Nursing Home due to a bad stroke last year and the care and support he has received from the staff has been excellent.
The care and nursing team always provide fantastic care and support and they always have a smile on their faces.

My mum is a resident here at the moment. She is happy here, has recieved brilliant care. Staff are always friendly and polite, addressing her by her first. They made a lovely cake for her birthday and everyone came to her room singing happy birthday. It's always clean and tidy. The manager is always
happy to help if there is a problem. Mum has started to join activities now and enjoys them.

Vera Liubchivschi has been in the care industry for over ten years. She joined Orchard House and Lodore Nursing Homes in 2017 as a Registered Nurse and became the Home Manager in 2024.
Vera is also a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist.


Vera strives to ensure the effective delivery of holistic person-centred care in a safe environment in accordance with CQC standards. She leads by example and works with a dedicated team to provide high standards of care in a homely and happy environment. Vera has always maintained good relationships with the local authority and Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group.
