We are very pleased with the care provided. This is a very caring home, all the staff are really helpful and kind. They have made a difficult situation the best it can be through their hard work and dedication.

My mother has now been in Lodore for more than 7 years. During that time she has always received kind care and attention from the staff here. Yes, there have been various staff changes but the levels of care have always been very good. Whilst bed-bound Mum is looked after extremely well whether that is nursing care, general care or just talking to us as a family.

I am so pleased that my mum was accepted for a place in this nursing home upon her discharge from hospital. Her arrival day was her birthday and they baked her a cake and waited until we were there to gather in her room to sing Happy Birthday. The staff, without exception, are very friendly and always find the time for a brief conversation and if they have seen me arrive to visit they will bring me a cup of tea. Unfortunately, my mum is bed-bound but she is always kept clean and the bedding is always clean also. Mum is as happy and as comfortable as she can be given the circumstances and this knowledge gives me a lot of comfort. I cannot thank them all enough for the care they have provided and continue to provide in making this difficult time a little easier.

My aunt has been a resident for in excess of 4 years at Lodore care home.
She has been cared for well in sometimes difficult circumstances and the staff have always been diligent in their attendance.

The managers and staff have kept us informed of my aunt's wellbeing and needs as we live abroad both by email and telephone which is greatly appreciated.

My relative has been a resident of Lodore since September 2022. The staff are attentive and caring, and my relative feels content and happy. If I had any issues I know how to reach the manager. The communication for relatives is excellent.

My relative has choices of food and what they would like to do with their day. They are encouraged to take part in activities if they wish. Lodore feels homely and welcoming. My relative regularly comments to me about how happy they are at Lodore. The staff turnover that we have experienced is very low.

Moving Mum into a nursing home was something she would never have chosen, however, when it became essential she could not have had a better experience. From the first time Mum and I met the staff we were welcomed into the Lodore family. Mum was treated with dignity and respect at all times. She was cared for throughout her final months by staff who really cared about their job and the service they provided. Their care also extended to myself to make sure they support me too. I couldn't have asked for better.

Lodore is a very friendly care home. All staff are friendly and very polite. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. They are extremely kind and look after residents with the utmost care.

You can approach them at any time and they take trouble to explain everything to you.

My mother has been in Lodore since January 2023 and she is getting outstanding care. All the staff do an amazing job, so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy. The recent improvements also are much appreciated. Thank you for all you do for the care of my mum who I know isn't an easy person to care for!

My mum has been a resident at Lodore for nearly 7 years. I can remember when my brother and I first visited immediately realising that Lodore was a really special care home and very much wanting Mum to be able to join their community. She had had a nasty fall and it was very scary to suddenly have to find a place that could give her the support that she needed. We've always felt so lucky that they were able to offer Mum a place.
I love the scale of the building - it's not too big and feels like a proper home with the beautiful wooden panelled hallway and rooms radiating out from the central hallways, ensuring that all the residents feel connected and that staff are always close by.

The level of care is exceptionally good, it's the perfect mix of high professional standards combined with gentle, thoughtful care and understanding. The atmosphere is wonderful too, very warm and friendly, genuinely beautifully client-centred, with lots of love and gentle humour too.

My mum is a resident here at the moment. She is happy here, has recieved brilliant care. Staff are always friendly and polite, addressing her by her first. They made a lovely cake for her birthday and everyone came to her room singing happy birthday. It's always clean and tidy. The manager is always happy to help if there is a problem. Mum has started to join activities now and enjoys them.
