My wife has made friends here and is happy. I know she is in safe hands and the staff - all kind - like her.
Thank you for your feedback,. it is much appreciated by myself and the whole team
No complaints. Very happy.
Thank you so much for your feedback .. so pleased you are satisfied with our care and services .
Our father stayed here in his last few weeks and they also provide care for our aunt. Really impressed with all aspects of the place - the staff have been so caring and kind, and they really engage with the residents with daily activities. There is a wonderful accessible large garden and comfortable lounges. They keep relatives informed and up to date on developments. Would highly recommend. Really made a big difference with the last few days with our father - thank you.
Our father came to Lynde House following a very traumatic hospital stay. He was extremely unwell, but from the moment he was admitted, the kindness, compassion, and professionalism of the team made a real difference. Thanks to the outstanding care he received, he regained a quality of life that we never thought possible and was able to call Lynde House home. Every member of staff took the time to get to know him as an individual. They understood his likes and dislikes, especially with food, and always respected his preferences. They were proactive in managing his care and worked closely with healthcare professionals to ensure he received the best possible support. The relationships between the staff and residents are truly special, and the activities and enrichment programme helped create a warm, welcoming environment. Families and friends are encouraged to be involved . We will always be grateful to the entire team at Lynde House. We couldn't have asked for better care.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was our privilege to care for your dad. I will share with the team , be assured.

I had no previous experience of care homes, and I found my stay at Lynde House very interesting, and a good way to spend my time two weeks after hospital treatment. I found is restful, and I was well looked after. All the staff were very helpful, excellent, and the attractive gardens a good place to exercise.
Thank you for your review and we hope that you are well. We appreciate your time and your feedback

I am very pleasant with everything. Sometimes the communication is not very quick. I need to know whats happening. I love exercises with Don in activites. Carers are really good. Oksana is the best carer. I feel vaccum cleaner is too loud and its disturbing. I do understand that they do deep cleaning. I have been out for for 2 trips with Gitana and Fiona is a very good driver. It is very nice talking to Fiona.

Over all for a 'new' to care home Respite resident, a comforting & good experience. Flowers in the room on entry a nice touch. Restaurant & staff there were very helpful & make it feel lik a normal lunch or supper in a restaurant. All the staff, who were very well led, were genuinely kind & caring. We would reccomend Lynde House to friends or family.

When my wife passed on, not just the staff but also the residents became aware and were gently supportive. I wanted to point this out to show how care homes become homes!

Meet the Team (28)

As the Registered Manager, I am responsible for the overall running of Lynde House and assisted in this by a great team of staff.
Although from Scotland, I have lived in Richmond for over 30 years. My career has been in two stages; hospital management where I spent almost 26 years working in acute hospitals including Kingston and the West Middlesex Hospitals and Care Home Management at Lynde House where I have been since 2011.
I have had a long interest and involvement in organising and providing services to older people and I have been fortunate enough to put my experience to good use at Lynde House where we continue to strive for improvement in everything we offer and provide for our residents. We consistently achieve great feedback from residents and relatives on the care and services offered, a significant aspect to this being our low staff turnover and the lovely environment both inside the home itself and the grounds in which it is situated.

Hello, my name is Smita and I am the Deputy Manager at Lynde House. I started my career at Lynde as a Registered Nurse back in 2014, I was promoted to Unit Manager and finally Deputy Manager. My role is to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care while taking a person-centred approach. I offer support and guidance to all Nurses and carers and work closely with external healthcare professionals. I am also the dementia Champion here at Lynde, I have a great passion for the welfare of the resident's mental health and have been the force behind the success of Namaste Therapy here at Lynde.”
Smita was awarded Nurse of the Y held in March 2024ear for the South of England at the Great British Care Awards

Ridel is a qualified nurse and has been a dedicated member of the Lynde House team since 2005. He was named as the Divisional Nurse of the Year in the 2018 Barchester Care Awards, National Nurse of the Year at the Great British Care Awards and recently the Dementia Nurse Award 2025.
Ridel is known to exercise his vocal cords with a bit of singing, much to the delight of the residents and staff.

Emma is a qualified Nurse/Unit manager here and has worked at Lynde House for 14 years. Emma was Barchester Nurse of the Year in 2016 and for good reason, as she is kind, compassionate and caring to say the least!

Ken is our night manager so he is not seen too often during the working day. He is also our Learning and Development lead for our home.

Today I have a small team who work to ensure our social engagement programmes meet the desires and wishes of residents. I also coordinate the recruitment of volunteers to the home.
I successfully completed my Napa (National Association of Providers of Activities) qualification to level 3. Gitana and her team are excellent at planning and introducing new hobbies, activities and events for our residents to enjoy on a daily basis.

Cristo takes great pride in maintaining our beautiful home and ensuring it is the most comfortable environment for our residents. No job is too big or too small!

Karen was recently appointed to her new position, having previously worked as a general assistant in the home for almost 2 years.
