A purpose-built residential care home, Manor Court offers a range of tailored care options for short or long term needs. Care is provided to people living with dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington's disease and also to the young physically disabled. Palliative care is also available.

The home consists of four separate houses each offering comfortable accommodation with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Landscaped gardens complete with furnished patio areas, raised flower beds and two sensory gardens provide an ideal setting to relax or socialise. The home also offers a double room, ideal for couples.

Manor Court recognises the importance of healthy and nutritious food. The in-house chef has created a range of seasonal menus to ensure residents receive a balanced diet. A hot and cold option is always made available so that all tastes are catered for.

Residents are encouraged to take part in daily activities such as film nights, exercise sessions and coffee mornings to socialise and get to know staff and other residents.

This is a pleasant nursing home and the family is happy our mother is there. It wasn't our first choice but the staff are kind and helpful and treat my mother well.

My brother has been in Manor Court for over 10 years, he had a very severe stroke he cannot speak, very badly paralysed and completely bedridden. I just want to thank the very good staff nurse for being so patient with him, the care she gives is excellent.

I have a suggestion: please will you consider providing ice cubes in an ice bucket to the patients that want it. Ice cools the stomach when taken with drinks e.g. orange juice, and stops reflux in many cases. Very useful during the long hot summer days. You need only provide say 10 cubes per patient
at midday. It would make a big difference. There are silicone trays for making ice which are very convenient nowadays.

When I have visited, everything seems clean and tidy. My mother says she has to wait too long to be taken to the toilet. She says she usually likes the food. She likes to be taken to the garden when warm enough. I do get informed if she has a problem.

My friend is now sadly very diminished mentally, physically frail and requires a lot of care. She is always clean and well looked after and encouraged to eat/drink. Staff have always been unfailingly kind and courteous to her. They always keep me fully informed about her condition/any changes.

Throughout my mum's stay at Manor Court over the last 4 years, she has been so well cared for. As her Parkinson's has progressed they have adapted the care. The staff are friendly and never fail to inform me about any changes. Thanks.

My mother has only been in Manor Court for six weeks. She was unwell two weeks ago, so spent almost a week in the hospital. She is back at Manor Court now. We have only been able to visit Mum once due to Covid, but the staff have been amazing. They are always ready to speak, and it must be very stressful
for them at this time. Everyone is friendly and keeps us regularly updated. Her room is good, and they have adapted her bed as she has a habit of getting up numerous times in the night due to her dementia.

I've been here four years and get very upset about my fees as I know other residents are paying a lot less. The staff are very kind but very busy. There is almost no conversation or help with sorting out shopping etc and it makes me very sad. The food is nice but very limited and there is so much that
we don't get.

I first came for respite in Feb 2018 at Manor Court in Sycamore House. The staff are very nice but they work too hard they don't get a break, they get a break but they have to eat quickly and that's not good.
They need more carers because for people like me to sit with us and to sit with us if we need
to be fed in between our meal times.
If it was me I would award the carers and nurses.
I can't get involved with activities because of my eyes. That's why I need one to one. They should have a coffee morning. But sometimes I enjoy when there are not many movements, then I love to join in.

My 95-year-old mother has been in the care of the staff of Larch House these last two years and my family and I are entirely satisfied with their treatment of her. We have, therefore great peace of mind that she is in good hands and this relieves us of any worries or concerns for her wellbeing. We are
kept informed of her health in general and of reports when applicable of consultations with the visiting GP. In conclusion, I would say that whilst the standards remain as they've been over the two years, I have no wish for her to be elsewhere given current her condition.

My uncle is looked after very well. My only problem is his clothes, shoes and slippers go missing and I have to keep buying to replace them. That is my only problem.

Amazing staff! They were caring and built a great relationship with my aunt. Especially the Managers who really made my aunt feel at home. My aunt has now left but always remembers the people in the care home that looked after her. She even wept a few tears when leaving. Would highly recommend.
