Ravenscourt provides a friendly and warm place for residents to live as full and enriching a life as possible. A range of activities are organised and carried out every week which re specific to the hobbies and passions of the residents. Staff take time to find out what things resident enjoy doing before planning the schedule of activities.

Staff are trained rigorously to become competent care assistants and all have either gained or are studying to achieve their National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2 in care.

From the Manager and her admin team to her friendly professional care staff I cannot praise them all enough, they have put my mind at ease and answered any queries I have, nothing is never too much trouble for them, I am relieved to have now found somewhere that is happy to care for my mother.
At Ravenscourt,
they understand the need of care and support which is invaluable to the family as well as the resident.

My very first experience of a care home was at Ravenscourt Nursing Home.
I truly had no idea what to expect so felt very nervous.
The Manager and her team of caring professional and enthusiastic staff made my choice so much easier, it felt so welcoming and homely that I had every confidence they
would look after my brother.
The whole team could not do enough for us, they answered my many questions throughout my brother's stay here, making us all so welcome, doing everything possible to support us all during a very difficult time, with the added pressure of Covid restrictions.
The procedures that were in place gave us confidence that all residents, staff, and visitors were in a safe environment.
My lasting memory of Ravenscourt is that my brother knew he was truly cared for, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

I chose Ravenscourt Nursing Home for my father because of the friendly, caring, and professional staff. It has a pleasant atmosphere and since my father entered the home six weeks ago his health has improved considerably. As a bonus, he is enjoying life there!

Cannot praise Ravenscourt enough. Quite simply they care.
Management and staff treat mother with dignity and ensure her individuality isn't taken away. The care programme is second to none, providing stimulation.
The meal plans are excellent with a four week rotation menu.
When visiting we are
made to feel so welcome.
The home is warm and inviting, mother's room is personalised and comfortable.
Generally, mum is engaged and happy which is all that we could wish for.

My mother was a resident admitted from hospital on a palliative pathway. The home was the only one we approached who were willing to offer a viewing before due to Covid-19 and the staff were kind and informative, understanding how difficult the decision was for us and reassuring us that under the circumstances
there would be no restrictions for the family to visit as often or for as long as we wanted. On arrival and throughout we were treated with sensitivity and flexibility despite their understandable requirement to comply with Covid-19 procedures. At every visit, we were offered food/refreshments and any requests we made for staff to attend to my mother's needs were met quickly and efficiently. They checked in on us regularly when we were there, updating us on how she had been and actions taken during our absence. Following my mother's death, due to a bureaucratic issue that arose, they were supportive and proactive to help. Would recommend it for a loved one.

My husband was admitted to the care home following treatment elsewhere. He required nursing care and Ravenscourt was selected. During his stay there he received excellent palliative care and all staff were very caring and dealt with him and all who visited him on a personal basis. All managers and staff
were readily approachable and dealt with any issues raised swiftly and efficiently ensuring he was comfortable and safe during his stay.
Visits were allowed and Covid compliance requirements followed.
Sadly due to his health issues, he passed away. At this difficult time, all staff were very compassionate and caring and dealt with all necessary matters speedily, explaining what was happening and what was required throughout. Nothing was too much trouble and they were and have been very supportive.
I would thoroughly recommend Ravenscourt.

My father-in-law was referred to this nursing home following assessment in an NHS hospital. Prior to arrival, I went unannounced to the nursing home to enquire about their services. I met the home manager who took the time to clearly explain how they could help. They stressed that if there were any
concerns during the stay to raise them immediately with staff to resolve the issues. When my father-in-law arrived he was dealt with in a considerate and professional manner. When we raised issues with managers such as the location of his room when a new room became available he was moved. The Covid visiting arrangements have been reinforced allowing safe visits. Managers and staff are always willing to discuss my father-in-law's condition and arrangements made to ensure medical attention both in house nursing and external visits from Doctors and therapists are arranged expeditiously. Staff and facilities are excellent and kept clean. Food has been excellent and alternatives supplied when requested.

Excellent nursing home! The staff are very caring and treat my mother with dignity and kindness. My mother has had two strokes and unable to walk or get out of bed. The staff are second to none. I’ve never met such friendly and caring people who seem to be happy in their work. My mother is so lucky
to be looked after by this fantastic home. The manager and all office staff are always available to give advice when needed.

My husband came to Ravenscourt Nursing Home for respite and has now been cared for by this amazing team of people for the last 6 weeks. Their care and nursing expertise exceeds expectation as in our case, the close family is receiving so much support. I am sure that when Covid restrictions are eased,
then Ravenscourt will be abuzz with relatives again. In the meantime, everything has been arranged for us to settle my husband, so his mental health needs are addressed according to his present needs, which are complex. A big thank you to the manager and all the staff.

Throughout May till December 2020, I have felt very supported and heard at all times from staff at every level and from management. I have had to call about my mum due to her needs so many times and always felt listened to and considered. The staff are kind, thoughtful and funny, when appropriate and
have kept me going when I needed support. I can call literally anytime and as often as I want and the staff always answer the phone really nicely, patiently and efficiently. Thank you.

Ravenscourt Nursing Home did their very best in the most difficult situation. Mum said the food was excellent. All the staff was so helpful. Thank god my dear mum had a downstairs room, I was able to visit three times a week. I am so grateful to the managers, they were all so kind. They did their utmost

Organising for my Nan to be a resident was the best decision we could have made. We were so worried about the transition but were reassured by the amazing staff here. She is looked after so much better than we could ever have offered. The staff are incredible, so kind, patient - everything we could

During these very difficult times, I have been very satisfied and happy with the quality of care that my Mother is receiving. Nothing is too much for the management, the carers and all the staff who are very responsive. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone looking for potential care
homes. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff at Ravenscourt as they make such a difference, not only to the residents but to their families as we have comfort that our relatives are well looked after.

My Mother was placed in Ravenscourt in July 2020 after a short spell in hospital. I was not able to choose but had support from a Sister in the Hospital, which I will be forever grateful. The care that my Mum received by all the care team in the home was brilliant, especially under the immense pressure
and stress that these times are giving. She was refusing food and medication, but they kept trying to get her to take them. She was exceptionally well cared for as she was bed-bound. Sadly she was given the end of life, and they looked after her with the utmost care and dignity until the end. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I have already recommended Ravenscourt as I am pleased how my mum has been treated, well looked after, staff and management are very caring and any problems or queries are sorted out very quickly and efficiently. It would be nice if relatives and residents could sit out more in the summer as there is
only a small courtyard.

My Mum has been in Ravenscourt since October. It is a wonderful nursing home. Everybody is kind, caring and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is lovely, more like a big happy family than a nursing home.
