Ravenscourt provides a friendly and warm place for residents to live as full and enriching a life as possible. A range of activities are organised and carried out every week which re specific to the hobbies and passions of the residents. Staff take time to find out what things resident enjoy doing before planning the schedule of activities.

Staff are trained rigorously to become competent care assistants and all have either gained or are studying to achieve their National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2 in care.

The home celebrates and welcomes all people and embraces the diversity of the life experiences of every person.

The food is of poor quality. We bring our own food in. The menu is repetitive. They tend to put residents to bed very early.

I find Ravenscourt Nursing Home a friendly, welcoming environment. Staff are approachable, attentive and always ready to help/respond to questions asked. My mother has settled in well in the short time she has been there.
I know she is being cared for and is happy. I feel I made a good choice when
looking for a placement when I chose Ravenscourt.
I am contented in the knowledge she is being cared for and her needs are being met.

Mum has been in the home for 2 years and is settled. The staff are pleasant and kind to mum. She is well cared for. The home puts on nice entertainment.

I was so happy with the standard of care my mother-in-law receives in Ravenscourt, I then recommended it to another member of my family and my neighbour. I am pleased to say they are now happily living at the home.

Ravenscourt is an excellent care home. Staff are caring and hard working. Knowing my Dad so well cared for, that he was clean, fed and medically supervised, was a relief. It allowed me to have my Dad back and have quality time with him. Staff and management are always very welcoming.

My sister and I have found the care home to be excellent. The staff are extremely caring and always consider her needs.
We always come away safe in the knowledge that her needs are always being met and she is in "safe hands".

I am happy with the standard of service given. My friend is always clean and has clean clothes on.
My requests (e.g. later bedtime) have been listened to. The staff are friendly and happy to volunteer information about my friend (I don't have to approach and ask).
There are activities laid on but
I'm not sure this is daily. Most of the carers engage with the residents although there are a few that do not seem to want to do this which lets the standard down.

Overall I think that Ravenscourt Care Home provides a good standard of care. My mother (the resident) is unable to organise her affairs or communicate very effectively so there have been some issues with lost glasses and she doesn't get encouraged to wear her hearing aids. I'm not sure what activities
she takes part in if any. It would be nice if she could get a bit more exercise and sometimes there is a bit of a delay when residents ask to be taken to the toilet. I find all the staff helpful, cheerful and friendly. I am very grateful for the kindness they show to my mum. She tells me they are all nice and that she enjoys all the meals.

Whilst this was a hard decision to make, the management nurses and even the cooks and the cleaners are the most fabulous caring and professional but more importantly friendly, hard working people. I was promised I'd never see my grandparents unclean, uncared for or in any pain and true to their work
that has always been the case, as is for all the residents.

Overall we find the care our father is receiving very good. He has recently been in hospital and since returning to the care home has been very well looked after regarding medication, nursing care and cleanliness, which we consider important.

Since my mother has been int he home from November 2015 I have had nothing but praise for the management and staff. They are always approachable and courteous and will always help where they can. The home is always clean and tidy and the management are always thinking of ways to improve the facilities.
