Our Mother has been a resident at Tudor House for two years now. The home is a wonderful setting, my Mother is very well cared for, and her room is decorated as she likes. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they always aim to please and go out of their way to help. The home is exceptionally
clean and tidy, the food is excellent - there is always an opportunity for a variety of food. The deputy manager is outstanding as are the care staff and housekeeping/laundry. Very very happy.

Very happy with the care my mother-in-law receives at Tudor House, the care staff go above and beyond. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The home is spotlessly clean and tidy. The food is catered for everyone, if the residents ask for different food they receive it, also if they ask for more
they always get that too. The outside garden area is a lovely space to sit with loved ones and enjoy the fresh air and peaceful garden. We are extremely happy.
Reply from Vipul Patel, Director at Tudor HouseIt's a pleasure looking after your mother-in-law, thanks for your lovely comments about the staff team and our garden, I'm really proud of how they are always ready to go the extra mile and it's great to have our families recognise that too.

Review from Andrew S (Resident) published on 24 August 2022 Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
The food is very bad. Some carers are very good and care a great deal for residents. However, 80 percent of carers do as little as possible and just want to do the work and go home. We, the residents, have to go to bed at 6 pm. The exceptions are two residents who refuse and have to go up at 7.15. Nobody
is forced to go at 6 pm but they are all put under pressure to go. There are many examples of neglect I have video evidence of. It's all officially correct but residents are supposed to be treated with respect and dignity. They are not. I as a resident have been suppressed by management under the threat of sacking members of staff who have shown me kindness and dignity. I will write a full report when I am no longer here and cannot be blackmailed into remaining silent.
Reply from Mona Mathew, Registered Manager at Tudor HouseWe are deeply sorry that you had to leave our service and that you feel this way and also that you have had a negative experience. In all time that you have been with us you have not raised a formal complaint of this nature.
We, your care manager and external professional have all tried (over few months) to help you with your complex needs. Unfortunately, due to your non-compliance and taking fire safety of all other residents into account, we could not safely care for you in our setting, despite all efforts.
There any many things that we cannot discuss in this review; however, please call the registered manager if you wish this discuss this review.
Again, we can only apologise for your experience and the nature in which you had to leave our service.
We hope that you get all the help and support that you need.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.983)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.983) out of 10 for Tudor House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.983 for Tudor House is calculated as follows: ( (281 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 286 Ratings = 4.983
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Tudor House is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
