I am very aware of what a painful decision it is to choose formal care for a loved one. Yet the care offered by Woodland Hall is exceptional. My brother-in-law and sister celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary whilst M was in your care. The staff at Woodland Hall could not have made the event more special for both of them. And that is what struck me most, that the resident looks to be so well cared for. But the care of his wife was very evident. Well done to everyone at Woodland Hall. Thank you so much for your care and your welcome to all M's family and friends.

The team at Woodlands have been great very professional and reassuring to us all.
Since having good care, food and interaction with staff he has become stronger, happier and as healthy as he can be with his condition.

Mum has been at Woodland Hall for 6 months. We are so grateful for this beautiful and loving care home. All staff treat the residents with respect and dignity and are very compassionate and understanding. They look after mum with such excellence and are so loving towards us as a family.
They celebrated Mum's birthday today; it was so emotional and precious. There were beautiful decorations, amazing food and drinks, music, laughter, and so much love in every detail of her birthday party.

Mum is deteriorating so rapidly now, it is so hard to witness advanced Alzheimer's / dementia but I am so grateful to God that she is surrounded by love, joy, respect and life! Thank you Woodland Hall for all you do! We pray God's blessings over you. Thank you to all the staff and the experienced and attentive management team. Thank you.

My mother was admitted in November 2023 at Woodland Hall Care Home in Stanmore. I was very upset, because it is too far from my place and I was not able to visit her often due to my health condition. I am visiting her once a month and not upset anymore, because I see each time my Mother is looked after very well, with clean clothes, nice bed, good food. It is a very good care home, pleasant atmosphere, clean and nice, very kind carers and helpfu management.

Overall Experience
My husband was admitted in September he was in a very bad state of health in and out of hospital regularly after many infections wasn't eating or drinking and losing weight etc.
Within days with the wonderful care received at Woodland Hall he regained his appetite, good health and is looking and feeling much better the nurses carers and managers are terrific. I am so delighted with everything they do they even help me as my mobility is poor. The rooms are spotlessly clean and there is a comfortable reception where free coffee, tea etc are provided along with cake and popcorn.
You just could not ever ask for more.
The medical attention is excellent, a doctor visits regularly and they even get a doctor any time of night if they feel it might be necessary. Every member of staff, nurses, carers, cleaners, reception and managers are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. They keep me well informed about any changes that may occur.

I could never ask for a better place for my dear husband to be.

I can not put into words how amazing Woodlands Care Home in Stanmore is.
The staff are incredible, each and every one of them is warm, friendly and caring. They always have a smile on their face and interact in such a lovely way with my father. The facilities and the professionalism of the staff is the best I have ever seen and my father has come on leaps and bounds since being there.
I am so assured that he is there and in the most caring environment.
There are constant activities and entertainment every day, which has enabled my father to build confidence and meet new friends among the staff and residents.
The facilities are amazing and the room's cosy and relaxing. The tables fully made up with table wear and delicious meals every day, catering to all diets and tastes.
I truly can not praise Woodland Hall, the management, staff and facilities enough.

I am so thankful for this place and the hard work the team put in. They seem to work together like family. 10/10!

My father came to Woodland Hall in September for end-of-life palliative care. He was extremely well looked after by all of the team here who went above and beyond for him and for us as a family. We were able to spend the last few weeks of our dad's life knowing he was so well cared for by the nurses and the deputy manager, who were exceptional! Thank you also to another specific staff member who was always so friendly and kind. Always a smile on their face, they genuinely cared for Dad and were there to support him and us through a very tough time. The care home is lovely and the surrounding grounds where we could sit with Dad. The friendly receptionists who would ask us how we were daily and to all of the staff here who cared for my father Thank you from the bottom of our hearts you made my dad's last few weeks of his life comfortable, dignified and cared for with such kindness you're all amazing!

Dad hasn't been at Woodland Hall for long, but so far the staff have been courteous and informative. Dad seems settled and I think the calm and peacefulness at Woodland Hall will suit him better. He is always clean and tidy, well put together.

Just wanted to say, how the staff looked after me, nothing was too much trouble, showed empathy.
I was transferred from a local hospital, I had total hip replacement, mobility very poor, two weeks in hospital then transferred for rehab at Woodland Hall.
Physiotherapy team excellent, really got me motivated to do all the exercises which were hard. Twice a day Physio so was very busy.

I want to thank them very much. Waiting now for community physio but I am doing the exercises now at home after just over two weeks at Woodland Hall.

Everyone here has been so cheerful, caring and totally efficient. The rooms are kept clean too. The food is good and quite enough for the residents. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is a pamper time and to see the smiles on all the ladies' faces was great. Year 10 girls came in for work experience and it was a complete success. How lovely is it that people who have suffered from bad health etc. should experience this wonderful care home. Thank you to everyone.

My mum had to be admitted here for rehabilitation, after spending 2 months in the hospital. From the moment my mum entered the building, she was warmly welcomed by the staff members. Everyone who was directly involved with my mum's care was professional and continued to encourage my mum providing her lots of support, but also to us as a family. There aren't enough words to express just how happy we all are! Even staff members who weren't involved with my mum's care provided such a lovely environment to be in, during such a stressful time. My mum had spent days in the hospital feeling low, not knowing what the next steps of her journey would be like; it's heartwarming to meet amazing staff who brought my mum's smile back! Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful and helpful support you've provided during her stay! The facility was amazing, filled with plenty of beautiful sceneries and also amazing daily activities held by the lifestyle coordinators! Thank you so much for everything.

Andreea Zara
Andreea ZaraJob Title:Home Manager

For me, the most important aspect of my role as home manager is making sure every resident feels safe, valued and truly at home. I believe that care should be centred around each individual and designed to support their dignity, independence, happiness and wellbeing. Building trust is at the heart of what we do. It is important that families also feel reassured and confident that their loved ones are cared for with compassion and respect.

Before becoming a home manager, I was a regional business manager, also for Care UK and I have previously studied finance-related courses. I am currently completing a nursing qualification. I was particularly drawn to Care UK because it is an organisation that is committed to supporting colleagues and residents. Positivity and teamwork are the culture, and everyone is valued.

To be a successful home manager, you need to be compassionate, patient and genuinely caring. You also have to be committed to residents’ well-being and quality of life. Good communication and listening skills are also essential to building trusting relationships, not just with residents, but with their families and with colleagues. A home manager should also be approachable, well organised and be able to lead by example, creating a positive and supportive environment.

The best part of the day for me is spending time with residents and seeing them happy, comfortable and engaged with daily life. Whether it’s having a conversation, seeing residents enjoy activities, or hearing positive feedback from families, those moments are the most rewarding because they remind me why I do this.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, travel, reading and swimming.
