I am very happy with the care my brother receives here. The carers are cheerful, and the nurses are very caring. Food becomes very important, and there is always a choice of home-cooked food. Small portions would be appreciated - a large place is overwhelming. My brother worries that at times the care facilities don't have enough colleagues to share the load. Milton Ernest Hall is a beautiful building with lovely grounds. Always well presented, the Hall is welcoming on arrival.
I have been visiting my friend in this care home for over a year. I can honestly say I have always found the staff to be wonderfully caring, and genuinely interested in residents comfort. To be subject to such demanding requirements and still maintain a cheerful demeanor ,which definitely affects the well-being of the residents, is totally praiseworthy.
I have power of attorney for a resident at this care home. He came to the home after a long spell in hospital which traumatised him greatly. During his hospital stay he acquired a grade 4 pressure sore which was getting frequently infected. He arrived at the home in October 2025 and was welcomed with open arms. The actual transfer plans were difficult and had to be delayed a number of times due to the hospital not being prepared for transfer.
His sore is now almost healed and he has not had another infection since he arrived. He is now at the stage where he is nearly ready to mobilise. He loves the food and the care has been second to none. I, as a visitor, am welcomed with smiles. All of my queries are answered fully and in a timely manner. I have been a care manager and nurse for much of my life and have also worked for the CQC so I don't write this review lightly. The home itself is beautiful with grounds that help the positive factors for both the residents and visitors.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review.
We are truly grateful that you took the time to share your experience, especially given your extensive professional background in care and regulation. Your feedback means a great deal to our entire team.
It has been a privilege to...
My husband initially spent 3 weeks respite care at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home, nearly 2 years ago, when he was soon made 'part of the family'. When, a few weeks ago, I realised that I could no longer care for him on my own at home. I had no hesitation in contacting Victoria to ask if he could come back on a permanent basis, and he and I were welcomed back with open arms. The staff are amazing, and despite his often 'challenging' behaviour due to advanced dementia, they just know how to calm him down. He loves his food and enjoys outings to local country parks and going out for pub lunches. A special thank you to his 'special carer' who goes above and beyond with her love and care for us both.
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt review.

Our experience with Milton Ernest Hall is very positive. The staff are all so friendly and caring I cannot fault them. My husband Henk has been very happy there. It is a warm and cosy environment with lovely rooms to sit in. Food is also very good and served in the beautiful dining room. So all I want to say thank you so very much. Kind regards Henny Kroon
Thank you for your lovely words Henny. I will be sure to pass this onto the team. We are glad you are happy with the home and your husband is happy here.
From the pre admission meeting to moving day everyone involved at the home have been excellent and professional. Sadly after only a short stay my mother passed away and the way her death was managed gives my family great comfort. My father is still there and his care is of a very high standard. The accommodation is clean and well appointed. All the staff have been friendly and welcoming.

He loves the beautiful grounds and the grand rooms. He feels as if he is living in a National Trust Property!
In particular he enjoys eating with the other residents in the wood panelled dining room where they have proper napkins and napkin rings.
Despite having dementia he is included in all the activities and is regularly taken on trips to the pub or the bowls club which he really enjoys.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. They really do make you feel like part of the family and I am enjoying getting to know them all and the other residents.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to have you as part of the Milton Ernest Hall Family.
Since my mum moved into Milton Ernest a year ago as a fairly high-dependency resident, she has always been treated with care and respect by all the staff. She always seems happy and never has any complaints when I visit. There are no set visiting times, so I am often able to turn up unannounced after work and always find the staff to be very professional in their attitude towards both myself and the residents, creating a relaxed atmosphere for everyone. Relatives are regularly updated with all the activities put on for residents and I feel it to be a well-run, well-managed, and safe place for my mum to spend the latter years of her life.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is our absolute pleasure to look after Mum, and of course we love seeing you too!
Mum I can relax and be confident that she is safe and well cared for.
Thank you for looking after my mother so well.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! It is an absolute pleasure to have your mother as part of our Milton Ernest Hall family and we are delighted you enjoy your visits. I will pass on your feedback to the team, thank you.

Hello! I’m Vicky, Registered Manager at Milton Ernest Hall.
I started at Milton Ernest Hall in October 2012, and I haven’t looked back since! I started my journey as a Healthcare Assistant and have been given opportunities to work my way up in various job roles. Since being appointed Deputy Manager in September 2022, I have now gone on to become the General Manager of Milton Ernest Hall in January 2024, I am committed to ensuring Milton is a loving and supportive environment for both residents and the team. I strive to create a home where everyone feels valued, cared for and happy.
I love working within the care sector because every day is entirely different and yet every day you know you are making a difference to someone’s life. I love to see the residents and team smiling, laughing and enjoying life, it inspires and motivates me to continue doing the best I can to ensure everyone is happy and living their life, the way they want to! I am lucky to work alongside a great team of dedicated, caring people who go above and beyond every day.
Every day is different, but every day is also always full of happiness, laughter and love. We are a family and that is the reason why I have been here for so long. My favourite part of the day is the morning, I love mornings! I always go around the home to say “Good Morning” and have a little chat with each person to make sure everyone starts their day in the best possible way, with a smile.
Milton Ernest is a home-from-home, and you will always be welcomed with open arms and a delightful smile.
Please do feel free to phone Milton Ernest Hall to chat with me or a member of the team to support you on your journey to finding you or your loved ones home from home.

Hello, I’m Kelly. I am now the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home, Bedford.
From being at school, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the Care Sector and in February 2020 I found exactly where I wanted to be, Milton Ernest Hall.
When I first joined Milton Ernest Hall as a Healthcare Assistant, I found myself building great relationships with all the residents but more so with those in our wonderful Memory Care Community. I have a passion for dementia care and felt deep connections with those in our Memory Care Community as well as their loved ones, which has led me to become the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall.
My journey with Majesticare so far has been incredible. In 2022 I was lucky to win Majesticare’s Cosmic Care Award at their annual Majesticare Star Awards, which I was then nominated for the Great British Care Awards and The Stars of Social Care Awards (Hosted by Josie Gibson) which I became a finalist for in both awards. I then went on to win (2 years in a row) the Cosmic Care Award at Majesticare’s Star Awards in 2023!
Milton Ernest Hall and Majesticare are my family, and this is where I feel I belong.
If you are visiting the home, please do come and say hello.

Hello, I am Regina, a Senior Nurse at our home, Milton Ernest Hall.
I have been a part of the Milton Ernest Hall Family for a total of 11 years. I first joined Milton Ernest Hall in 2009, I left in 2012 but soon returned in 2015. I came back to Milton Ernest Hall because this is the only place that feels like home, since then I have never looked back.
Being able to take care of wonderful residents, and having the opportunity to get them back to good health gives me great joy and job satisfaction.
My infectious smile comes from my work and it radiates through my team and residents. We have a wonderful team at Milton Ernest Hall, that takes pride in ensuring our residents are provided with the best person-centred care.
