I have enjoyed my stay at Milton Ernest. The staff and care team are friendly and helpful and my room is nice here. I enjoyed coming to the lounge activities and socialising mixing in with the people here and getting to know them.
It is a pleasure to have you stay with us at Milton Ernest Hall. Thank you for your kind words and your review.
Very impressed indeed with the warm welcome from the staff. The relaxed atmosphere. The room is pleasant, light, airy and very clean. My aunt seems content. Well cared for and wanting for nothing. Requests to make her room move personable were well received by staff.
Thank you for your comments. The team at Milton Ernest Hall really pride themselves on providing great care and I am glad we were able to help with making her room feel more like home.
Lovely place with beautiful grounds. Staff seem to be very nice and helpful. Took Dad a while to settle due to Covid restrictions but once he was able to mingle with the other residents he was much happier. Lots of activities to keep him occupied.
Thank you for your review. We are so lucky with the beauty of Milton Ernest Hall and its grounds. Providing stimulating activity and entertainment is so important for health and wellbeing.
Milton Ernest have been nothing but accomodating. My relative came here during the pandemic. Visits in lockdown have been fantastic. No matter when I have phoned or spoken to staff I have the same professional and caring responses.
Thank you, I will make sure that the team are aware of your kind words. They really do take pride in caring for the residents.
A lovely nursing home. Staff are ever so helpful, courteous and kind.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment, it is much appreciated by us all.
They always make me feel welcomed.
They answer any queries I have.
Thank you for your comments, we really do have a great team.
Milton Ernest Hall and all its staff have shown great care and compassion whilst caring for my father. Staff are very professional and supportive in very difficult circumstances. My regret is that Dad was a resident for only two months at the very end of his life and unable to fully appreciate all aspects of the care on offer. Milton Ernest Hall feels like a family home and relatives are treated as part of the family.
Thank you, J D, for your lovely comment, it is much appreciated. We could not have done our work without all your support.
The staff and carers are very loving and considerate and show great concern for the mental and emotional welfare of the residents as well as their physical wellbeing.
Over the last seven months, the manager and all the staff worked incredibly hard to keep the residents safe and keep their spirits up in very difficult circumstances.
My mother lived at Milton Ernest Hall for four and a half years before she passed away at the age of 100. When she entered the home, we thought she had only weeks to live, but thanks to the incredible care provided she was able to live so much longer. Coronavirus provided a considerable challenge both to us and the care home staff, but they rose to the challenge and did what they could to facilitate our contact with her. It made such a difference to have confidence that she was looked after well right to the end.
My mother moved in just as lockdown started in March. Despite knowing none of the carers, and being cut off from friends and family, she was quickly befriended by the carers.
Staff genuinely know Mum well, and are able to lift her spirits even when she’s not at her most co-operative. Several health issues require close monitoring, but the nurses have had these under control from day one. The activities team is very hard-working and creative, and we love to see their photos of Mum.
Despite lockdown restrictions and the risk of sudden staff shortages, the home manager and her team have stayed cheerful, maintained an enviable standard of care, and kept relatives updated with regular news emails. Majesticare’s policies also encourage continuity of care, with a focus on staff reward and retention, avoiding temporary staff who don’t know the residents.
Milton Ernest Hall is not cheap, but I believe it still offers good value for money.
Thank you for the lovely comment Neil, it is much appreciated.
Milton Ernest care home is run by an amazing manager, and all her staff are caring, and helpful. The activities staff are very tentative, thoughtful and keep everyone occupied under theses crazy times. The home has kept us fully informed at all times regarding their safety measures with regards to covid19. They have dealt with this in a professional manner, considering how challenging this must be. Each and every one of the staff is amazing!
Thank you for your lovely comment; staff read the reviews and often say how lovely it is to feel appreciated.
I looked around several homes in the area for Mum. I live in London - Milton Ernest was the last home I saw and knew immediately this would be the place for Mum. Unlike most of the other homes I saw, the staff were warm, friendly and fun. When Mum went there after two horrible months in the hospital, they were all patient, kind and caring. Her health has much improved. They genuinely care about her, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their true care.
My Mother has been a resident for over a year now and she has been looked after very well by all members of staff, it did take some time for her to settle and all needs have been dealt with by all the staff who have helped to make it a place where she is happy. Her family are always kept unto date with any changes via newsletter and encourage visits where possible. During the current pandemic, the home has gone to great lengths to keep all the residents and staff safe.
Very friendly staff, good facilities.
Have enjoyed the facilities of Milton Ernest Hall for several years, and have been very pleased to be looked after here!
My dad came to Milton Ernest Hall Care Home in September after spending a month in hospital after having treatment for chest and urine infections amongst other health issues. My dad was at end of life and was at the home for the appropriate care. The staff and care was exceptional, and during the last two days before he died the staff extended their support to my sisters and I, which was such a comfort. We couldn't thank them or recommend this care home enough. Outstanding.
Thank you for your lovely comment it is much appreciated. I am pleased that you and your sister felt supported in such a difficult time.
Thoroughly enjoyed respite break. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good meals. Didn't experience hotel side as confined to bed.
Thank you for your comment, looking forward to seeing you at our next event.
The atmosphere was always one of calm organisation yet there was a happy buzz of activity.
Residents were treated to lots of different activities every day. Mum's final year was a good one.
My mother has been a resident for over 5 years, during which time staff have adapted to her changing needs. Senior staff are very responsive to any comments and proactive as far as her health and wellbeing are concerned. Management are very accessible and continually provide a full complement of well trained and caring staff. The 'hall' gives a real impression of a home rather than an institution. Activities have become recognised as a vital part of care, with a rolling programme provided by dedicated staff, who also try to draw in the local community for special events.

Meet the Team (3)

Hello! I’m Vicky, Registered Manager at Milton Ernest Hall.
I started at Milton Ernest Hall in October 2012, and I haven’t looked back since! I started my journey as a Healthcare Assistant and have been given opportunities to work my way up in various job roles. Since being appointed Deputy Manager in September 2022, I have now gone on to become the General Manager of Milton Ernest Hall in January 2024, I am committed to ensuring Milton is a loving and supportive environment for both residents and the team. I strive to create a home where everyone feels valued, cared for and happy.
I love working within the care sector because every day is entirely different and yet every day you know you are making a difference to someone’s life. I love to see the residents and team smiling, laughing and enjoying life, it inspires and motivates me to continue doing the best I can to ensure everyone is happy and living their life, the way they want to! I am lucky to work alongside a great team of dedicated, caring people who go above and beyond every day.
Every day is different, but every day is also always full of happiness, laughter and love. We are a family and that is the reason why I have been here for so long. My favourite part of the day is the morning, I love mornings! I always go around the home to say “Good Morning” and have a little chat with each person to make sure everyone starts their day in the best possible way, with a smile.
Milton Ernest is a home-from-home, and you will always be welcomed with open arms and a delightful smile.
Please do feel free to phone Milton Ernest Hall to chat with me or a member of the team to support you on your journey to finding you or your loved ones home from home.

Hello, I’m Kelly. I am now the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home, Bedford.
From being at school, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the Care Sector and in February 2020 I found exactly where I wanted to be, Milton Ernest Hall.
When I first joined Milton Ernest Hall as a Healthcare Assistant, I found myself building great relationships with all the residents but more so with those in our wonderful Memory Care Community. I have a passion for dementia care and felt deep connections with those in our Memory Care Community as well as their loved ones, which has led me to become the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall.
My journey with Majesticare so far has been incredible. In 2022 I was lucky to win Majesticare’s Cosmic Care Award at their annual Majesticare Star Awards, which I was then nominated for the Great British Care Awards and The Stars of Social Care Awards (Hosted by Josie Gibson) which I became a finalist for in both awards. I then went on to win (2 years in a row) the Cosmic Care Award at Majesticare’s Star Awards in 2023!
Milton Ernest Hall and Majesticare are my family, and this is where I feel I belong.
If you are visiting the home, please do come and say hello.

Hello, I am Regina, a Senior Nurse at our home, Milton Ernest Hall.
I have been a part of the Milton Ernest Hall Family for a total of 11 years. I first joined Milton Ernest Hall in 2009, I left in 2012 but soon returned in 2015. I came back to Milton Ernest Hall because this is the only place that feels like home, since then I have never looked back.
Being able to take care of wonderful residents, and having the opportunity to get them back to good health gives me great joy and job satisfaction.
My infectious smile comes from my work and it radiates through my team and residents. We have a wonderful team at Milton Ernest Hall, that takes pride in ensuring our residents are provided with the best person-centred care.
