Pleasant surroundings - helpful and friendly staff. Interesting activities, varied.
Prompt service, today washing done in a day and returned (except for a few items which need a little more drying) and like the precious time I am sure it will come nice and fresh!!! Well done.
My mother has spent nearly 6 years in this nursing home. Here she has been so well cared for (particularly by the home manager who so expertly oversees the care) that she has effectively gained a new home. The manager has always been available and knows how to 'make things better'. She and others have developed sensitivity to my mother's needs coped wonderfully with her deafness (100%) and kept her well. I have been able to gain a personal interview with the manager whenever I have any concerns at all. A brilliant experience.
Thank you for your kind words Cesca.
The staff put so much effort into Halloween. The home was decorated with incredible decorations. The staff had put a lot of planning and efforts to make Halloween a success for both residents and relatives. The staff organised a ghost train up and down the drive with surprises around every corner. The costumes, props and acting were amazing and were enjoyed by both young and old. There was also Halloween treats, face paints and nasty surprised for the kids. Well done to all the staff.
I am very happy with the service my great great aunt receives at Milton Ernest Hall. All the staff are absolutely brilliant and take very good care and pride in their work. Well done! Thank you.
I am so happy with the care my godfather receives, the home is beautiful and I really get on with the staff.
My grandma is very happy here. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the home meets all of my grandmas needs. The domestic staff are always keeping my room nice and clean. Thank you Milton, Great team!
I attended the Christmas Fayre at Milton Ernest Hall with my dear friend who has been living here for the past year. It was a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
The staff are excellent, friendly and always there to help when needed. The management always take time to talk to me and have a chat.
The home is beautiful, set on lovely grounds which all can enjoy!
I have the greatest respect for all staff, a great team of people.
In July Milton Earnest Hall held their annual Summer BBQ. This is the 3rd year in a row that I have attended with my mother who is a resident at the home. Each year it gets better and better. The effort made by all the staff is incredible. This year we had the Glen Miller Band, a singer, Urban Safari, Ice Cream Van, Shetland Pony rides, Bouncy Castle, Tombola and a raffle as well as the BBQ, and the sun came out. It was a lovely day for all the residents and relatives to enjoy. I cannot thank the staff enough for the tremendous effort made not only for this event but for their enthusiasm with all the activities they arrange for the residents (and there are lots).
Having good weather to appreciate the lovely grounds the home is set in makes it perfect.
I have known this care home for about 12 months and I can report that it is generally excellent. Well organised, well run with enough staff and management, with an excellent general environment and staff variations. I enjoy going there to visit my wife which I do most afternoons. They provide good entertainment with games and music in the afternoon and there is ample opportunity for such recreation as is feasible for the residents. My wife has been there for almost a year, suffering from dementia and she was relatively content given that she must live in a care home. The administration is really very good as compared with other care homes that I have seen.
What an amazing place! Cannot believe how lucky we were to be able to move our mother to Milton Ernest Care Home for her final few weeks of her life. The care was shown to her and to us as family/other visitors was wonderful. The management was especially helpful and obliging. We wish so much that she could have come here earlier so that she could have enjoyed the facilities available to her, sadly she was bed bound.
Just like to say huge Thank You to all the staff who tendered to our mother's needs with such kindness.
Our true thanks
xx
In the past four years, I have always found the staff to be patient, cheerful and friendly. The activities and entertainment organised are well received. The home itself is clean and tidy and a "bright" place to visit.l The catering is of a good quality and standard.
Mum is very well cared for. She is always clean, fresh and well presented. Her room is bright and cheery. Good home-cooked food and the staff are lovely. Always lots going on, outings and entertainment.
We are really proud of the team at Milton Ernest Hall and are delighted that you are so happy with all aspects of the home.
In March 2016 mum asked us to find her a residential nursing care home near Bedford. Although living on her own for the past 35 years, a recent spell in hospital with respiratory problems, many other ailments and a fall resulting in a broken wrist, the need to find the right new home was urgent and decisions needed to be made under pressure. My husband searched the internet to discover a shortlist. A visit to Milton Ernest Hall within 24 hours and an assessment carried out by the care home manager the next week were all positive. The following week she moved in.
The last 2 months she and us have adapted to the change of lifestyle. The whole family is convinced the right choice was made and we are most indebted to all the staff at the home for their sincere and professional endeavors to make this happen. If you have similar problems please visit Hilton Ernest Care Home and see for yourself. My mum is looking forward to the future having had her dignity restored as she starts on her 99th year.
For 6 months in 2014-15 my father was a patient there and was very happy with the care. Just relinquished regular GP visits to home. Feel current staff very caring and supportive.
My mum stayed st Milton Ernest Hall following her discharge from hospital until she passed away (approx 6 weeks). All staff were very kind and caring towards her, to all her family and visitors. We were immediately made to feel welcome and we visited every day that she was there. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and the atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming.
It's nice being able to get out and walk around the grounds. The staff are all very helpful. Also I like to go out on trips in the minibus.

Meet the Team (3)

Hello! I’m Vicky, Registered Manager at Milton Ernest Hall.
I started at Milton Ernest Hall in October 2012, and I haven’t looked back since! I started my journey as a Healthcare Assistant and have been given opportunities to work my way up in various job roles. Since being appointed Deputy Manager in September 2022, I have now gone on to become the General Manager of Milton Ernest Hall in January 2024, I am committed to ensuring Milton is a loving and supportive environment for both residents and the team. I strive to create a home where everyone feels valued, cared for and happy.
I love working within the care sector because every day is entirely different and yet every day you know you are making a difference to someone’s life. I love to see the residents and team smiling, laughing and enjoying life, it inspires and motivates me to continue doing the best I can to ensure everyone is happy and living their life, the way they want to! I am lucky to work alongside a great team of dedicated, caring people who go above and beyond every day.
Every day is different, but every day is also always full of happiness, laughter and love. We are a family and that is the reason why I have been here for so long. My favourite part of the day is the morning, I love mornings! I always go around the home to say “Good Morning” and have a little chat with each person to make sure everyone starts their day in the best possible way, with a smile.
Milton Ernest is a home-from-home, and you will always be welcomed with open arms and a delightful smile.
Please do feel free to phone Milton Ernest Hall to chat with me or a member of the team to support you on your journey to finding you or your loved ones home from home.

Hello, I’m Kelly. I am now the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall Care Home, Bedford.
From being at school, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the Care Sector and in February 2020 I found exactly where I wanted to be, Milton Ernest Hall.
When I first joined Milton Ernest Hall as a Healthcare Assistant, I found myself building great relationships with all the residents but more so with those in our wonderful Memory Care Community. I have a passion for dementia care and felt deep connections with those in our Memory Care Community as well as their loved ones, which has led me to become the Dementia Coordinator at Milton Ernest Hall.
My journey with Majesticare so far has been incredible. In 2022 I was lucky to win Majesticare’s Cosmic Care Award at their annual Majesticare Star Awards, which I was then nominated for the Great British Care Awards and The Stars of Social Care Awards (Hosted by Josie Gibson) which I became a finalist for in both awards. I then went on to win (2 years in a row) the Cosmic Care Award at Majesticare’s Star Awards in 2023!
Milton Ernest Hall and Majesticare are my family, and this is where I feel I belong.
If you are visiting the home, please do come and say hello.

Hello, I am Regina, a Senior Nurse at our home, Milton Ernest Hall.
I have been a part of the Milton Ernest Hall Family for a total of 11 years. I first joined Milton Ernest Hall in 2009, I left in 2012 but soon returned in 2015. I came back to Milton Ernest Hall because this is the only place that feels like home, since then I have never looked back.
Being able to take care of wonderful residents, and having the opportunity to get them back to good health gives me great joy and job satisfaction.
My infectious smile comes from my work and it radiates through my team and residents. We have a wonderful team at Milton Ernest Hall, that takes pride in ensuring our residents are provided with the best person-centred care.
