They did all they could with true happiness for him and the home and to the very last week he was very well cared for, as well as my family and his.

Park House made my stepdad feel loved and cared for, for the 7 years he was with them. He was very happy being there. Most of the team always played with him, joked and looked after him when he was having bad days. I think it is a lovely care home who have also cared with my Mum when she visited him at the home, even after his death. They have been very kind.
Our relative chose to go into Park House and was very happy, saying "this is my home". She was there for just over 7 and a half years. As dementia took over, she could be very difficult at times but was always treated with great kindness and respect by all the staff. I never once heard anyone raise...
She was treated as an individual and the staff went out of their way to try and find out things that she liked and to make sure she was happy. Everyone knew her well, from the ladies in the kitchen to the manager and the owner and all would pop their head around the door to see if she was alright and have a quick chat - a real "home from home". Although everything possible was done to prevent falls, my relative's health problems meant she was more susceptible than many. If one happened, or she was unwell, I was always contacted and told how she was. When she died in December 2016 in Park House, it was very peaceful and a senior nurse was with her.
A well managed home with very welcoming, friendly and capable staff, facilities are appropriate. The food quality looks good with reasonable and varied choice with adequate sized portions. The decor and cleanliness are always to a good standard.
