My husband was admitted to Rosalyn House on the 2nd of February after being in the hospital for two months and the care he was given was very good. The staff were all very good with him and myself and my son. The other residents all sounded very happy and there was a nice atmosphere. Very often they had music playing, but the care for my husband was very good and he was kept free of pain at the end.
We would like to thank everyone at Rosalyn House for the wonderful care and love given to my husband. They looked after him so well. He settled will in their care. He was kept clean and tidy, the room was clean, his nursing care was excellent. My family and myself could not ask for anything better.
My husband suffered a large stroke on 05/12/22 which left him paralysed down his left side. He had no control of his bladder or bowel and could not eat or drink. A PEG was fitted in the hospital on 16/01/23. The compassion and care he received were exemplary. From the management, and nursing staff down to the carers and further staff. He, unfortunately, died there on 03/02/23. I cannot recommend them more highly.
Our mother was a resident for three and a half years, admitted with stage four dementia. Mum was extremely settled and happy during her time, and the staff did an amazing job. During Covid, they kept the resident safe and well. We, as a family, could not fault the care and communication at times under very difficult conditions. We would recommend this care home without hesitation. If there was a problem/concern, it was addressed immediately. Mum passed away peacefully with the greatest respect from the staff and her family around her.
I find Rosalyn House Care Home very friendly. Staff go out of their way to help, my brother is happy and comfortable there and that makes me happy to see. I feel very relaxed when I go to see my brother and that is often.
The reception staff were amazing and so polite and helpful and would do anything to help us.
My father-in-law needed to go to hospital appointments and arranged everything with the nurse, who was also amazing. She advised of things that were happening with him and what she was aiming to do to help him.
The carers told me he joked a lot and had a good sense of humour. He was very down when he went in but was ready and able to leave on the due date. Thank you to all staff.
Manager and staff at Rosalyn House go above and beyond with their care and support to my partner. He has settled in well down to the care staff. He enjoys his food which is a big bonus. Cannot find any fault or criticism with Rosalyn House. My partner's care/safety is paramount. Happy partner, happy me. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone at Rosalyn House.
Thank you very much for your kind review, I am glad that your partner has settled well into the home. We will continue to do our best to support and care for your partner.
My dad received excellent care from when he arrived for end-of-life care on 26th October 2022 till 19th November 2022, when he sadly passed away. My family and I would like to thank all the staff for all the help they gave my dad and for being supportive to us as a family. My dad was not able to communicate with the staff during this time but would have been extremely grateful, so thank you again, kind regards from all the family.
Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review and for your positive comments about our home and recognition of the team at Rosalyn House. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and families are extremely important to us. Your feedback will be shared with the team.
My mum was looked after and cared for and would like to thank all the staff for this. Many thanks.
From the moment she was admitted she was treated with dignity, care and compassion. I spent a lot of time with her during the last week and a half of her life and can honestly say that every member of staff went above and beyond. The care given gave us peace of mind. We were treated like family and at such a difficult time we needed to feel the warmth they provided. They offered us hot food and kept my caffeine levels up along with chocolate biscuits as a treat.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Rosalyn House as the place to put a loved one. If every care home was like this it would be amazing. I know how hard the team work and just want to say a massive heartfelt thank you, which feels totally inadequate.
My elderly father moved into Rosalyn House one year ago, and neither of us had any experience of care or nursing homes. Despite the restrictions of Covid; the manager and staff helped and guided us with his transition from independent living to accepting the help he needed with his mobility issues. He has always been cared for with respect and affection, and I am able to rest assured that he is safe and well looked after.
Thank you very much for your kind words; it is a pleasure looking after your dad. We will continue to do our best for him.
It is my sister who is in care in Rosalyn House. She is a poor girl, she has all her faculties. It's her body that's packed up. She needs lots of care, but it's time-consuming. Thanks.
I didn't want my dad to go into a care home. You do hear some bad stories don't you, but the wonderful staff at Rosalyn took that worry away. They looked after my dad with care and dignity until the very last. They always spoke to him with kindness and consideration, not once did I worry about how he was being treated. If I had a concern about his health, there was always someone that would talk to me, even if sometimes I felt like I was being a nuisance. The home itself is clean and kept tidy and Dad loved the food. All the staff that I came across were friendly, even the cleaners played a part in his care, by having a daily chat with him. I would recommend Rosalyn and would like to thank them all for looking after Dad.
Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to look after your dad. Thank you for trusting us to take care of him, he was such a lovely man.
In the four months he was at Rosalyn House my uncle received excellent care. He was always clean well fed and treated tastefully even though he would sometimes be difficult. Aside from the carers Rosalyn House also has nursing staff who were always diligent. I can't think of a better place where he could have spent the last few months of his life.
Very good care was given to my grandad I can say this on behalf of myself and all my family. Good care given on his last few weeks of life.
I just want to thank the remarkable team at Rosalyn House for the care and compassion you showed to my gran, throughout her stay but especially during the last few days of her life. And for the care and compassion that you extended to my mum and I during our time with her.
I have always thought it is such a hard job and in an industry that doesn't pay no where near enough. But having spent a few days there myself and seeing all that they do has just highlighted that even more for me.
Hearing how they encourage residents who don't want to eat to eat. Seeing how they regularly carry on with cleaning and changing the residents so they can maintain their dignity throughout. Leaning over to look at a resident who has little communication left in her to tell them what they are going to be doing and ask them what they want so they are never frightened and keep some control over their choices. And always keeping them pain-free and comfortable.
We were so pleased my gran was in safe hands.
Thank you for your kind words. Your grandmother was an absolute pleasure to care for, and she will truly be missed in the home. If yourself, or the family ever need anything, don't hesitate to give the home a call!
Take care,Rosalyn Team
Mostly very good, staff friendly, room tidy.
Thank you for your kind words we very much enjoy the company of your lovely wife.
Kindly people. Very helpful.
Having left hospital in February 2021 with Covid and spending 3 weeks on a ventilator I arrived at Rosalyn House not in a good way. I found all the staff were very, very good in getting me a long way in my recovery. I cannot thank them enough. Thank you once again for everything.
What a delight you were to look after. a true gent who we all took to our hearts. We hope you will come and visit us soon.
Rosalyn House, what can I say. Every single one of you deserves a medal. My dad was so looked after by you all. As me and my brother lives so far away you have always kept us up to date with his needs. Special thanks to a member of staff for her professional, kind manner to tell me of my dad's passing. You even made sure that he was presentable for us as a family to see Dad before he was taken to the chapel of rest. The manager and the administrator for going that extra mile for our family. Thank you all.
Wow Paul, what a beautiful review! You, your family and most importantly your wonderful Dad will never be forgotten by any of us at Rosalyn. It was an honour and privilege to care for him and we will miss him enormously.
