Leighton Forest

Mum lived independently & never wanted to be in a home. Sadly, after her fourth stroke left her paralysed down her right-hand side, doubly incontinent with memory problems, she needed more support.Moving into Leighton Forest was a huge change, and I worried about how she would settle. However, she has absolutely thrived since being there.Mum loves the people around her, has formed a wonderful friendship with Joao, who takes a genuine interest in everyone & makes each person feel valued & cared for. She is also making friends with other residents, which makes me so happy.I never imagined she would settle so well, especially given how much she valued her independence. Seeing her happy, building friendships & enjoying others' company is a real comfort.Special thanks to Joao for his kindness & genuine interest in Mum & the other residents. His conversations & personal connections make a huge difference.I am so grateful Mum is in such caring hands and would happily recommend Leighton Forest

In July it was her 80th birthday and, with the co-operation of the staff, her family & friends organised a party. It was a great success. Many thanks to the staff for their unobtrusive support and welcoming presence.

Our friend is a resident of Forest Lodge Care Home. It was her 80th birthday a few of her friends together with her family wanted to give her a surprise party. The staff and management went out of their way to make the day a memorable one. They provided a lovely cake, flowers, snacks and drinks and allowed us full use of one of the large activity rooms. Nothing could have been more perfect. Every time I visit the home, everything is spotlessly clean, and the staff are a delight. All needs are catered for in a kind and efficient way.

My mother had a lovely room that looked out to the trees and this made her happy. She settled in well to the home and found the staff friendly. She enjoyed the variety of food and all the activities. I felt that she was well looked after in the time she was there. Thank you for everything.

It is not an easy journey when needing to access care for our loved ones, but we could not have found a better environment for what turned out to be end of life care . THANK YOU ALL AT LEIGHTON FOREST .

Brilliant, I love it here for my husband. They motivate and encourage him. Most importantly look after him which now I cannot do.

My mum received the best care from very dedicated staff whilst at Leighton Forest. The staff were especially supportive and went the extra mile when she sadly passed away recently. We shall be eternally grateful that Mum got to spend her last months here.

A lovely care home set in a beautiful location, my mum was treated with care, respect and dignity. The staff were welcoming, polite, and professional. Thank you for looking after my mum and keeping her safe during her final days.

My mum came in for respite care after living at home and having several falls. It was decided that she needed to stay permanently. Whilst she has found it hard to settle I think she is coming to terms that she is in the best possible place. I can only have praise for the way my mum was welcomed by all the staff and they have quickly got to know how she likes to be helped.i have found all the staff friendly, welcoming and professional. I am very happy that she is being well cared for.

My grandfather-in-law spent years in care homes, I know how bad they can be. Leighton Forest is the best I've ever experienced.

The room was clean and welcoming. The whole environment in the building was warm, welcoming and clean and tidy. Without any smell. A great experience for everyone.

My father recently moved to Leighton Forest. I work in healthcare and have experience of working with a number of care homes. I am really happy with our experience at Leighton Forest. The staff are friendly and professional - they take the time to get to know both the resident and their family. The management team are present and responsive - they take on board feedback and it is clear that the resident's wellbeing is their top priority. The home itself is nice - good social space, it is clean and the woodland setting is lovely.

My Mother was in Leighton Forest for D2A. She was treated with respect, dignity, and fabulous care from each member of staff from start to finish. The home was very well-staffed and very clean. She was included in activities and enjoyed them.
