My Mum was admitted to Taymer for rehab after a stay in hospital - she was very apprehensive and really didn't want to go however after a few days she was very at home. The Management and the whole team there could not have been kinder or more considerate; they gave me complete peace of mind. They treat
their residents with dignity and respect. The home had lots of activities going on too that really helped Mums recovery. She was in an NHS room which was satisfactory but their residents' rooms are much nicer.


The food was fantastic - it was good to see Mum eating so well.


If it was necessary for my Mum to be admitted to a nursing home she and I would certainly choose Taymer.

I live in Devon, my brother resides in Bedfordshire. We found this home after visiting over 20 others. Mother lived with me until I could no longer manage, she moved to another home in Bedfordshire where she previously lived. She fell and broke her hip. After being treated in hospital she could not
walk- she will be 99 next month and was in a poor way upon admission to Taymer Nursing Home. Since then, although deteriorating mentally, the staff at Taymer Nursing Home have greatly improved her physical health. The home cannot be faulted by me. My daughter, a senior health professional, comment "You couldn't have found a better home for grad, dad."

I was placed in a rehab room after being in hospital. The care was first rate, it was very comfortable from the bedrooms to the lounges and the atmosphere. Loved the fresh fruit salad each morning. The staff were the best ever, always there with a smile to greet you and kindness when you needed it.
The staff encouraged me and built me up and were aware when I was worrying about things and gave me 'time'. The food was so good. They got me eating again. I didn't (hardly) want to leave. May others share this luxury as I did.

I stayed at Taymer House for four weeks and found the ambience while not quite a home form home, as near as dammit. The staff were all so open and friendly and went out of their way to help you at all times of the day and night. Rooms were comfortable and the food excellent. I believe a five star rating
for this nursing home is more than justifiable. Anything less would be a travesty. The activities lady is particularly zealous in getting patients engaged in various activities and you can see her efforts reflected in the patients eyes, as they join in knitting, jigsaws and generally engaging.

Taymer nursing home is situated on the outskirts of Silsoe Bedfordshire. It is a pleasant comfortable home with a large garden full of birds and wildlife. I occupy a large room which has everything I need in it. The staff are happy and friendly and friendly and the chef frequently provides me with different
meals I ask for, I am very fussy. My room is cleaned daily and my sink area is always spotless. There are activities in the main lounge most afternoons and meals can be eaten in your room if you choose. My airflow equipment is checked regularly and my oxygen supply of portables ordered on time. Nobody wishes to be in a nursing home but if you have to I recommend Taymer.

I visit on behalf of a church organisation and always feel very welcome and appreciated. The staff are friendly and kind and the ambience of the home is very pleasant. Our concern is that the difficulty of recruiting in the care industry means that it may take longer than usual for residents to get
brought into the main lounge area during the day, but that is not the staff's fault but due to the shortage of staff at times.
