My mum has only been in Taymer for 3 months and what a difference living in Taymer has made. She is a lot happier and healthier. The staff are amazing in all ways, always ready to help mum in any way she needs. The place is very friendly and homely, the food is an exceptionally high standard. I can't
emphasise enough how good a place Taymer is. I'm so happy we found Taymer for my mum.

My mother entered Taymar for rehab after suffering a severe stroke. She was barely eating, with limited movement and speech. After around nine weeks she had recovered enough to return home. We would like to thank the staff at Taymar, who were always available to meet my mother's needs. The management
and senior staff were always available to assist and answer any concerns we had, as well as help plan a path home for my mother. A special thank you to the manager of the home who is superb (as are all the staff), plus a special thank you to the chef, and also to the carer who specifically looked after my mother in the mornings. We would like to thank you all again, and we would recommend Taymar to anyone, your relatives will be well cared for there.

Home from home. Virtually everyone is happy. They are clearly a strong team with superb management, enrolling perfect staff.
Even when busy and stressed they are still amazing with the residents. Nursing care very good also.
Activities superb, my mum loves the singers. Always something great and varied
going on.
Not only does the activities coordinator organise this but she keeps the wonderful gardens going.

An extremely pleasant and homely atmosphere with kind and thoughtful staff.


Always plenty of things organised to join in with a variety of food and choice of food and drink. Very nice that residents pets are welcome to visit.

In November 2017 my cousin went into Taymer Care home aged 89 years. This was a huge lifestyle change as she had up to then lived independently with help from her daughter. She has quickly settled into Taymer, helped by the lovely friendly feel it has and wonderful caring staff. There was a really good
programme of events for them over Christmas which my cousin enjoyed taking part in and also New Year celebrations. There is a good menu with freshly prepared meals. This is a really lovely home to be part of. I am a regular visitor to see my cousin and enjoy the time I spent there.

My husband was in Taymer for 4 weeks whilst I was in hospital. This was his second stay at the home and I would use them again if necessary.

A very warm welcoming nursing home for my Mum. After leaving hospital, went to the nursing home for physio. Whilst there Mum's mobility was improved. Mum enjoyed her stay, company, staff very friendly and helpful.Managed by a hard wording lady, nothing was too much trouble.

All the staff and management are very kind and caring in every way.


As soon as you enter the premises there is a good feeling about the home and everyone is treated with respect.

People make a care home and the people who work at The Taymer are very caring and committed to their residents.
My mother would never have chosen to go into a care home being a strong, independent person. However, needs must and she arrived in December last year, non-communitive and hardly eating anything.
Although she is bed bound and doesn't leave her room and she has been gently coaxed into eating and speaking more. She is monitored well and repositioned regularly. She sees lots of different people who work there and with her door open can see the movement in the corridor and hear the day to day workings of the home.


My father, however, on his own at home, cooks mini meals from the supermarket, does the crossword but is lonely especially in the evenings.

The care my mother has received at the Taymer has been exceptional. The care home manager and all the staff are just brilliant.
My mum says the food is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble.
I would really like to commend everyone and they have really helped both my mum and our family cope with
what has been a really difficult time.
