On behalf of my mother,
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Taymer Care Home in Silsoe for the outstanding care given to my 92-year-old mother during her recent four-week stay.
Following three weeks in hospital recovering from a broken hip and surgery, Mum needed focused rehabilitation-and
Taymer delivered that and so much more.
In Mum's own words:
"The attitude of the staff was exceptional-nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, the meals were delicious with fresh vegetables. It was perfect. I couldn't fault it."
Most importantly, the incredible team at Taymer helped get Mum back on her feet, enabling her to return home safely and continue her recovery with confidence.
We are so grateful to the management and every single member of staff for their professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support.

My mother was transferred from Hospital to the Taymer for respite care. My mother and our family found the staff so caring and were always willing to try to accommodate any requests they were given. The food was excellent, and my mother still refers to the home cooked food as delicious! The Taymer holds
many different events for the residents always trying to keep everyone's stay there as pleasant as possible. The staff were encouraging and complimentary when my mother was trying to become more agile. We as a family were so glad our mother was placed in the Taymer Nursing home as we felt she was safe and cared for during her stay. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and in particularly one member of staff, who always went the extra mile to ensure our mothers stay was the best it could be.

During the month spent at Taymer Nursing Home I was always treated with the upmost kindness and respect by all members of staff. The management should be congratulated by the care given by the staff and the way the home is run. I would not hesitate to stay again if the necessity arises. A special mention
should go to the chef for the excellent cooking and varied menu.

I would highly recommend Taymer to anybody who needs long-term care or respite, the level of care that my mum received was exemplary. All the staff that work there are incredible and provide such a warm and friendly environment that is able to keep residents and relatives feeling at ease. Having a kitchen
onsite with amazing freshly cooked food has made such a big difference in the recovery for my mum, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Thank you to all the staff and the manager for making mum feel at home and taking such good care of her.

Taymer Nursing Home could not be improved in any way whatsoever! It's like a hotel. It would be impossible to find anywhere better with the most incredible staff who couldn't be more friendly, caring and very hard working. I cannot praise it enough!

I would just like to thank the manager and all the staff at the nursing home for the way in which my wife has been looked after. Also, the way I have been treated when visiting. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone. I cannot praise the staff enough, first class.

Overall I would recommend Taymer. Excellent family atmosphere, staff happy and smiling, though night staff need more staff. En-suites would be more convenient as only 1 shower room in property. Some rooms need brightening up with lighter paintwork. Names of staff on badge should be larger as too small
to read.

Taymer Nursing Home Rehabilitation Room 24. I came here after two weeks in hospital after a fall at home, broken right elbow and venous ulcer leg and venous eczema. After five weeks going home - so clean. Well done everyone. Brilliant. Home wonderful, staff, nurses, carers, cleaning first class, chef
etc., evertrhing first class and warm and friendly, kind, everything you could with for. So busy yet so much care etc. Proper family place. The nurses are absolutely brilliant. My legs are the best for years. Gold stars around. Physios excellent and handyman brilliant.

Taymer Nursing Home was definitely like a second home for my dad. The care, kindness and consideration shown to him was extraordinary. All members of staff treated my dad with dignity at a very difficult time. During my dad's final days, the care home were so kind and helpful to myself and all family
members. Nothing was too much trouble! In some of the darkest hours of my life I will be forever grateful to all of the amazing staff. We feel incredibly lucky that Dad was able to have his final days at Taymer!

The management and staff at Taymer couldn't do enough to make my mum's temporary stay more enjoyable. All carers were kind and respectful throughout her stay. In particular, the manager runs "a tight ship" and nothing slips through her attention, excellent. A special shout out to the chefs who provided
a good choice of well-prepared food at meal times. My mum has also asked that the night team receive special mention. You made my mum's stay more enjoyable. Thanks.

I still regularly visit the manager at the Taymer Nursing Home even though my mother, who was a resident, is no longer with us.
Residents are treated with care dignity and compassion and nothing is too much trouble. You sense the kindness and attention to detail as soon as you walk through the door.
The Taymer is a unique establishment filled with love and caring. I'm glad I found the Taymer for my mother and I am grateful that they are still there supporting me beyond my loss and welcome me every time I call in.

Come rain or shine, day or night, you are always welcomed with a smile, friendly, caring staff in all departments. What started as respite has become forever home. Lots of activities to be part of, out for walks, comfortable rooms, lounges to join others and make friends, sitting together for meals,
one big family. Important calendar/annual events such as Easter, Mother's Day, Remembrance Sunday are all celebrated together.

This is my first personal experience of a family member being in a nursing home - my Grandma, who has dementia and had a stroke in April 2024. Not having any knowledge of what we need to consider when selecting a nursing home. Dad and I were kindly welcomed by the management team who gave us a very
comprehensive tour of the rooms, facilities, kitchen and all the services the nursing home provided including the staff ratios during the day and at night. All the staff from the management team, nurses, care assistants, chef and kitchen staff, and housekeeping all play their individual part in taking exceptional care for my Grandma. The communication and the engagement from the management team have been phenomenal - they are very sincere. The care is given with empathy and compassion. All the staff are friendly and helpful, always supportive in our request to fulfil Grandma's needs. The meals are freshly prepared daily. The rooms are cleaned daily and kept refreshed.

I was made to feel welcome upon arrival. Attentive and happy staff. I was impressed that the staff tackled any job. The building is set in beautiful gardens. There are many alternative places to rest or relax. Visitors are welcomed with tea and cakes and are invited to join their family members for

Being my first experience in a nursing home I have been impressed by the professionalism and genuine care taken by the staff towards the residents, there is a family feel to the home. By the cleanliness and care of the room to ensure the resident is as comfortable as if they were at home. The variety
of activities and inclusion of relatives encourages stimulation and involvement. It was a good choice and I feel privileged to have had the experience.

Visited my friend who was on rehab at Taymer. The most welcoming staff, receptionist, manager, carers and the activities lady did a fantastic job and got everyone involved.
The chef serves delicious fresh food every day and nothing is too much problem.
The home has a very homely feel and the cleanliness
is spotless, overall a fabulous home-from-home.
