From the moment mum went into the care home it has felt warm, peaceful, and truly homely. It is always spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for both residents and visitors.

Maggie and all of the staff have been incredibly kind, helpful, and caring. They treat my mum with genuine compassion, dignity, and respect, and it's clear they go above and beyond to ensure she is happy and well looked after.

Knowing that my mum is receiving such excellent care gives me real peace of mind. I am so grateful to Maggie and the whole team for everything they do, and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive place for a loved one.

My mum was placed at Taymer Nursing Home in a discharge to assessment bed from Hospital following admission for a collapse.
We were greeted by Maggie and team just before mum arrived at the end of May and from that moment until her transfer to permanent residential care at the end of June, we felt so supported and cared for . Nothing was too much trouble and even with mum being in a downhill spiral of dementia, she was loved and cared for beautifully.
The staff went out of their way to help celebrate mum's 90 birthday during her stay, allowing us a room to have a small celebration with family and friends.
Maggie even continued to stay in contact with us to check on mums progress once we had left.

We wished she could have stayed there but received amazing support to get mum into a fantastic home.

Firstly I would like to say the moment I walked in the staff greetingd us with a warm smile, they were very welcoming not only with me also my family. They are such amazing team, they are so caring, understanding, respectful. From manger to carer workers to nurses to mantace. The whole team is like family. I have no words to express how happy I was being here. When I told I'm coming here I was not happy, but then I loved it so much.

My mum was at the Taymer for 4 weeks. She was admitted after a hospital stay for rehab care. Everytime I visited I was warmly welcomed by all members of staff and a drink was offered straight away. They always gave me an update on how my mum was doing. The owner of the Taymer was excellent and was always assisting. Mum took part in some of the activities which she enjoyed. As it was Christmas/New Year period the home was very busy and was well decorated. It is a home from home. The food was of a very high standard and a credit to the chef. I would recommend the Taymer to people.

I came into Taymer at my children's request mainly my daughters as she felt I needed building up as in her words I was 'skin and bones'. My balance was not good and I could be described as vulnerable. When I came into Taymer I literally needed help to get myself out of the chair but the varied and quality weak seem to have improved my balance and general well being. This aspect has been remarked on by a number of people and I have put on almost 3 kilos in weight. I am doing physio exercises and using a very solid pedalling machine daily. The whole experience over 7 weeks has been favourable.

My mother has been at Taymer for 8 weeks. She was admitted after a hospital stay for rehab care. Although it was a very small room, it was comfortable and had everything she needed for a relativity short time. The rehab she was given was very good and was seen on a daily basis, helping her to get back on her feet, and get her confidence back. I was always welcomed by all the staff, giving a caring and homely feel. After visiting nearly every day for 8 weeks I saw that all the residents were cared for with patience and love, including my mother, who has become close to alot of the staff caring for her.

I would definitely recommend this care home, for around care.

Taymer is welcoming. The staff are all caring and supportive. I am in resdiential rehab and everything is driven by how I want to do things.
Communications between different types of staff is very good and there is no need to ask for something twice.

The food is good and there is plenty of choice.

A home of Excellence! If you are looking for a nursing home, where you can be at ease and feel no guilt as a relative, then look no further. This Nursing home is absolutely outstanding and lead by a Manager that deserves an OBE for many years of hard work reflected in the way this home operates. I have been blessed to find a Diamond amongst the rough, with so many horror stories these days. You can 100% relax and know your loved one is in safe, loving and caring hands. My mother enjoys the attention received, not left in a chair to vegetate. The staff keep morale high and ensure everyone is valued. Regular entertainment, mini bar and snack baskets are a real treat and mum enjoys a Baileys in the evening. She has requested to go back several times and this has allowed me the much needed weekends and weeks at a time to rejuvenate. When mum is ready for a permanent place Taymer will be the only choice. I have never experienced such high levels of care and dedication in any home before.

My grandmother visits regularly for respite and I can honestly say, Taymer has created a home away from home for her and other visitors. Naturally, we were worried initially as with any new environment for Gran, but the care and compassion received at this home is phenomenal. The staff are all extremely efficient, caring and very welcoming to all. My grandmother now sees Taymer as a place to visit friends and somewhere new to relax. The manager is extremely knowledgeable and keeps us updated throughout. We feel so lucky to have found Taymer and said manager, as we know Gran is in safe, experienced, loving and respectful hands! Quite frankly, Taymer looks and feels more like a boutique hotel than a care home, with so much thought put in to the services and care offered. I would recommend to anyone and cannot praise them highly enough.

Soon as you walk into the home you are greeted with a smile from someone and with in 5 - 10 minutes of being in there always a cup of tea or coffee waiting for you. Taymer always smells nice and clean, and fresh. The social activities are very good, and residents always look clean and are dressed well.

I found the Taymer Nursing Home to be one of the best. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring and I am pleased to say that there are enough to go round unlike some places where they are few and far between! I tried to get my husband to stay there but here were no places available but my friend's husband was in the Taymer for nearly 3 years, and he was loved and cared for there.

Following a stroke, my grandma was placed under palliative care and received treatment at Taymer. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care you provided to my grandma and our entire family. As an Indian/Gujarati family, this was our first experience with a family member in a nursing home, and it was also a first for Taymer to care for an Indian/Gujarati resident.
I was able to be a granddaughter without compromising my grandma's dignity. The love, care, and support you provided made a significant positive impact on Grandma; I believe it gave her the strength to live a little longer, allowing us an additional 15/16 months with her. During Grandma's end-of-life care, you were incredibly supportive. After she took her last breath, we were allowed to stay with her, along with our large family, for as long as we needed, which was immensely comforting.

The staff came to offer their support and pay their final respects to Grandma. This is when you know Taymer is a family.

Our second experience with a family member at this home. Continues to be excellent. The dedication of the staff to support my mother has been superb. No problems in any area of care and support at this excellent home. The manager/Matron, the Cook, the activities co-ordinator, and the support staff have all been extremely helpful and have gone out there way to meet the needs of my elderly mother.

Taymer feels like a home from home. I highly recommend this care home. It is worth waiting for a space, if there is no vacancies when you first look.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Taymer Care Home for the love, kindness, and dignity you showed our mum during the 15 months she was with you. From the very first day, it was clear that she was not only cared for, but truly cherished.
Your patience, compassion, and gentle support brought her comfort in her final days and gave our family reassurance knowing she was surrounded by warmth and respect.
We are forever grateful for the dedication and kindness of the entire team at Taymer.
You will always remain in our hearts.
Thank you for making our mothers time with you so special, and for walking alongside us with such care and understanding.

On behalf of my mother,
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Taymer Care Home in Silsoe for the outstanding care given to my 92-year-old mother during her recent four-week stay.
Following three weeks in hospital recovering from a broken hip and surgery, Mum needed focused rehabilitation-and Taymer delivered that and so much more.
In Mum's own words:
"The attitude of the staff was exceptional-nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, the meals were delicious with fresh vegetables. It was perfect. I couldn't fault it."
Most importantly, the incredible team at Taymer helped get Mum back on her feet, enabling her to return home safely and continue her recovery with confidence.
We are so grateful to the management and every single member of staff for their professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support.

With sincere appreciation.

My mother was transferred from Hospital to the Taymer for respite care. My mother and our family found the staff so caring and were always willing to try to accommodate any requests they were given. The food was excellent, and my mother still refers to the home cooked food as delicious! The Taymer holds many different events for the residents always trying to keep everyone's stay there as pleasant as possible. The staff were encouraging and complimentary when my mother was trying to become more agile. We as a family were so glad our mother was placed in the Taymer Nursing home as we felt she was safe and cared for during her stay. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and in particularly one member of staff, who always went the extra mile to ensure our mothers stay was the best it could be.

Thank you.

During the month spent at Taymer Nursing Home I was always treated with the upmost kindness and respect by all members of staff. The management should be congratulated by the care given by the staff and the way the home is run. I would not hesitate to stay again if the necessity arises. A special mention should go to the chef for the excellent cooking and varied menu.
