Taymer Nursing Home

I came to Taymer after hospital, having broken both my feet. I came here for rehabilitation. From the moment I arrived, I felt very comfortable and the welcome was lovely. All the staff have tended to my every need. The food was lovely and well-balanced. I started rehabilitation straight away, which I received every day. The physios were excellent. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend Taymer.

It is always a pleasure to visit, the staff go above and beyond to care for their residents. I can't speak highly enough of my mother's care.

Very sadly, heart failure finally caught up with him, (I fear due to the poor care in the hospital), just as he had to leave. Though, it was a blessing for him, and for us, that this happened when he was so much happier with his dignity restored from the good care, attention and food he received from the Taymer team. Thank you!

All staff are so helpful and kind, really looked after me. Nothing was too much trouble.

My mother was a resident here for 2 months of rehabilitation care. Prior to her admission, the Manager took the trouble to introduce herself and discuss my mother's needs and preferences. Once admitted, she and her visitors were made to feel extremely welcome, all requests were granted. The food and care provided were of a high standard.

I have recently visited my uncle who has been at the Taymer Nursing Home for some months now. I don't live in England so can't visit that often, however, I don't have to worry about him as he is so well looked after. The staff are great with him and his visitors and make sure he has everything he needs. The home is clean, comfortable and the staff are very caring. I can't thank them enough for all they do for him. Highly recommend.

I am a volunteer and visit the home once a week to talk with the residents. I always experience a very welcoming atmosphere and the residents I see are comfortable and happy. I have attended a few events organised by the activities manager and the notice board shows regular trips out. People are treated with respect by the staff.

A warm, friendly welcome from all the staff makes you feel you are in a family home. The variety of activities for all the residents are fun and engaging. The Christmas decorations are spectacular and are throughout the building. Visit

My mother was very happy staying at the Taymer she was given the opportunity to enjoy many activities that she would not have done at home. My family and I were more than happy with the care, love and support shown by all the staff to my mother and family.

I can not praise the manager and her amazing team from cleaners, carers, and chefs, they all play their part in making this such a special place to leave your loved ones. They went above and beyond to make sure my brother was cared for in every aspect can’t thank them enough.

We heartily recommend Taymer. The staff are exceptional and very caring. The atmosphere is happy and welcoming which has been noted by all my mother’s visitors. My mother has flourished under the care given and the good food. Our only slightly negative observation is the apparent lack of money spent on refurbishment by the company owners, which we feel would support the excellent and hard working staff.

My mother is very happy and cheerful. The staff do everything they can to help her, they are very professional. I cannot think of anything more they can do to help her. She is very happy.

Overall, there is a lovely atmosphere. Taymer doesn't feel like a nursing home at all but like a very welcoming home.

I visited my brother in Taymer Nursing Home over a period of four weeks and found all the staff to be friendly and helpful at all times. He was extremely well looked after, very happy in a family atmosphere.

The staff here are fabulous and their helpfulness is beyond compare! My mother has been here for two weeks and received the best of care. I have been made so welcome as a visitor here and seen the attentiveness for my mother and visitors alike. The commitment shown here is exceptional and an assurance that residents are receiving the best of care at all times.

My mother has been made welcome and taken good care of in the home. Some carers are more friendly than others and my mother needs time to express herself as she has speech difficulties.

The admin team answer the phone promptly and ensure relatives are given the necessary paperwork to complete etc.
