Being an established care home, Larkland House has developed a great reputation for delivering the highest standards of care. The team creates a unique, personalised care plan for each resident, considering their individual needs and wishes.

The home is designed over three floors, each with its own dining room and lounge, and it is entirely wheelchair accessible. The light and spacious bedrooms are all en-suite, and residents are welcome to bring their own possessions to add a personal touch.

Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Overall we are happy with the care my father receives at Larkland House. The only main problem is the lack of disabled car park bays and as an idea think some of the lawn facing the reception doors should be taken back by about 4ft so that other cars can pass when there is an ambulance or doctor taxi
that often is parked outside the entrance door. On a few occasions, we have been stuck unable to get out for quite some time.

Hard working friendly staff always cheery, very helpful and welcoming. Coming to Larkland to visit is always a happy experience however I do feel it is understaffed at times as the staff seem to be doing three things at once but always selflessly. The rooms seem to be clean and orderly as are the toilets
etc. The food is imaginative and tasty. This is a good place.

I cannot speak highly enough of Larkland the staff are always very cheerful and helpful. I have the fact that there are activities everyday and the activity staff are so lovely, cheerful and caring with the patents, nothing too much trouble. Larkland is very clean, lovely bedrooms and what I've seen
of the food it is excellent.

It's always a real pleasure to visit my aunt in Larkland House. The staff are very caring and friendly and my aunt of 96 years is very well looked after. The Activities staff go out of their way to provide all sorts of interesting entertainment from outside and my aunt loves to take part in the quizzes,
arts and crafts, cooking, keep fit etc. She is now looking forward to their next trip out to lunch.

Miranda Morgan

Job Title: Home Manager

I believe that being a Home Manager is about creating a warm environment, not only for residents but also for those who work in the home or visit.


I joined Care UK because I appreciate their culture and ethos of supporting residents to live fulfilling lives.


Ensuring compliance is at the forefront of my work at Larkland House is an important part of my role, but I also like to be involved in the day-to-day lives of the residents and team. Seeing their smiling faces gives me a big sense of achievement.


If the team are happy, this reflects on the residents. I’m proud to work with incredible people who want to make a difference in people’s lives. It’s fantastic when this hard work is recognised. In a previous role, I won awards for Manager of the Year and Dementia Team of the Year.


Outside of work, I love to travel with my husband. Travelling is very important to us. Family is equally important, and any spare time is spent with my granddaughter.
