Glebelands

The food is prepared beautifully and is much enjoyed. The staff are happy to take feedback to cater for individual needs. My mum is well cared for and this gives my family peace of mind. It would be wonderful to see the staff receive some reward and recognition for their hard work.

It is very reassuring to know that Mummy is being so well looked after at Glebelands. She has a very pleasant, double-aspect room and enjoys being able to observe the wildlife around the extensive grounds.

Leading up to the death of my wife, who was suffering from MS and dementia, she was looked after by staff, nurses and carers in an exemplary fashion. She was always properly changed, bathed and dressed, with her hair tidy. She developed a happy relationship with the staff and genuinely was as happy as she could be in the circumstances.

Very positive experience of Glebelands Care Home - this applies to my experience witnessing the care and service across the entire team - besides, my father would let us know if this weren't the case - Thank you to all the staff.

I would highly recommend Glebelands Nursing Home. The care from staff is outstanding, they often go above and beyond to make sure residents and visitors are comfortable. The home is always exceptionally clean and the food is a good standard.

Glebelands Care Home was our godsend when we needed them. My husband (not an easy man to please) settled well and the staff could not have been more caring and sharing jokes with him. He unfortunately did not stay for long as he was terminally ill but was under constant observation, which we were grateful for. They were a great source of help and guidance which at the time was difficult to find elsewhere. Thanks to all at Glebelands.

The staff are very friendly, can’t do enough and management. The entertainment staff are very good and friendly as well. Always looks clean and smells nice. The rooms could be cosier and it feels very clinical in the home. The grounds are kept in good condition.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. They are always helpful towards my aunt. My aunt passed away in Glebelands Care Home with dignity and they followed our requests to the letter. They gave us time to sort out the room once my aunt died.

Mother became more unwell and the team went above and beyond obtaining medical assistance after the GP and paramedics felts that our mother was not ill or requiring further input. A urine infection then was found - the staff called 111 for advice and antibiotics were prescribed to her. The staff have communicated with our family about everything that has occurred. Thank you.

My father was a resident at Glebelands for four years. During this time, my father was cared for by professional and caring staff. The activities staff ensured my father (blind) was included in all activities, both internal and external. My father became poorly in November 2022 and passed away. The care he received was exceptional. The staff ensured he was not left alone at any time at the end of his life. We cannot express our thanks enough. Thank you Glebelands you are exceptional.

My dear friend was in Glebelands from 2020 to 2022. My impression overall was that the staff are very caring and do all they can to make a resident's stay as enjoyable as possible. They were always helpful to me if I made a request and during the pandemic, it was reassuring to know that they did everything they could to ensure the safety of the residents. My only criticism would be that it wasn't made totally clear to my friend when she moved to Glebelands, that she would have to be in isolation for two weeks as she had come from a hospital during the pandemic.

The staff take a real interest in my mother and clearly care about her. She is cared for and treated with compassion and respect as an independent adult despite her dementia and frailness. Also, despite being mainly bedridden, she has excellent care to avoid bedsores etc. and is given the patience to enjoy eating.

My dear friend's last few days were filled with care, dignity and love.

Mum stayed at Glebelands for a period of respite during June 2022. The level of care is wonderful. All members of the staff are fantastic. They are so caring and friendly, not only with Mum but with the family as well. The food is freshly cooked and very nutritious and varied. In terms of cleanliness, Glebelands is spotlessly clean throughout. It was a great experience. Thank you to all of you at Glebelands.

The dedication and care the staff provide are outstanding. It's comforting to see the same staff when visiting, as this is beneficial to the residents. All the staff do their utmost to make life in the care home environment as enjoyable as possible. Should one have any concerns or questions, these are dealt with efficiently. I'm sure we all appreciate the difficult and challenging work taking care of our loved ones entails, and we are truly grateful. Our family would highly recommend Glebelands to anyone facing the difficult decision of ensuring the best care available for their loved ones.

The care my mother received at Glebelands was excellent. The carers and nursing staff adjusted to her needs and the end of life care was exemplary. They have a very difficult job and do it with such professionalism.

My mother is well cared for, food is generally excellent, there is a good variety of activities including some trips out which have been popular. Staff are caring and work hard. Reception staff are always welcoming and helpful.

My mother was always cared for well and treated with dignity and respect by the Glebelands staff. It wasn't always easy during the pandemic, but they made things as good as possible in the circumstances. As mum deteriorated in the last few months of her life, she was made as comfortable as possible and I am very grateful to the Glebelands staff for looking after her.

My Dad has been at Glebelands for the last 8 weeks since being released from hospital. His care and nursing needs are significant and frequent. We have been delighted by the care and compassion shown by so many staff which has greatly reassured him that he is in the right place for the last few weeks or months of his life. Nothing has been too much trouble and the team have worked hard to liaise with other medical professionals to manage his needs and keep him where he wants to be - which is at Glebelands!
