Hi, my name is Doina Hirta, the home manager of Glebelands Care Home. Our aim is to provide everyone with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment.
All our staff strive to ensure the individuality and privacy of residents, in which their care, well-being, and comfort are of the utmost importance. Staff are understanding of the ever-changing needs of our residents and encourage everyone to remain individual within a warm and caring atmosphere. My team and I are always on hand for a natter and an impromptu joke and laugh!
We are proud of our Home and its beautiful surroundings, and we would all like you, your family, and friends to enjoy with us its warm and friendly atmosphere. We look forward to meeting you soon ….
As deputy manager, I always take a very hands-on approach, due to my background in nursing. I’ve had over 20 years’ experience, and I believe in going above and beyond for our residents. For me, it’s important to support the whole team in providing the best care possible.
After working as a Care Assistant I was offered a role of Activities Coordinator two years ago and I haven’t looked back. My job is my passion - I’m always dressing up and smiling, really getting to know people and supporting them through humour.
I am completely dedicated to the care industry, having worked in it for 30 years. I love what I do, helping our residents to enjoy the next chapter of their lives. I’m always willing to lend a hand and to keep everyone motivated! To see the residents enjoying themselves brings a smile to us all, and makes my job worthwhile.
Since joining Glebelands I have been looking after our beautiful grade 2 listed building with the rest of my team. My job is not just about solutions, but also about making each room personal and unique to each resident. I take pride in my work, but my focus is on helping the residents feel that this is their home.
I have worked here for 7 years now, helping to make the house feel like a home for our residents by keeping it clean, tidy and safe. It’s like a family, I am always chatting with the residents while I work, and they share their memories and family pictures with me.
