What a wonderful caring team! From beginning to end we have been so impressed by all the staff at Cherry Tree. The home is in beautiful gardens, to compliment the excellent facilities. Absolutely nothing I could complain about.

When Caroline's father, Cyril, was admitted to Cherry Tree Nursing Home at 90 with advanced dementia and glaucoma, we were naturally anxious. Shortly afterwards, her mother, Mary, also became a resident. Mary is bedridden with several complex health conditions, including severe leg contracture, dementia and delirium.

Sadly, Cyril passed away last October, and visiting Mary every other day while coping with our grief has made the past year incredibly difficult. Throughout it all, Carolyn and every member of staff have welcomed us with warmth, kindness and compassion. We've visited so often that we genuinely feel like part of the furniture.

The care Mary receives has exceeded all our expectations. Every member of staff treats residents with dignity, patience and genuine kindness. Thank you all for everything you do. We will always be deeply grateful. Caroline and Kevin

My Mum entered Cherry Tree for what was supposed to be a two week end of life stay and ended up being there for nine years. She sadly passed away this week. I could not give higher praise to the staff and the facilities of Cherry Tree. The compassion, empathy and, dare I say, love given to Mum beggars belief. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure Mum was comfortable and peaceful. Throughout the full nine years Mum was given the best possible care. 200 words are not enough to say what needs saying about Cherry Tree. A fantastic place with fantastic staff. Thank you for everything.

My mother-in-law moved into Cherry Tree a year ago from another old peoples home, in our village due to its closure. She was very happy there & we were concerned she might struggle to settle but he has done so very well. She praises the staff & my husband, daughter & myself have found it very welcoming, caring & genuinely interested in their residents & their families. We visit 3 times a week & have enjoyed the special events like Summer Fete, Bonfire Night fireworks - which were very enjoyable. I consulted her re this & we agreed!

What an amazing team of carers & nurses that took care of my Dad. He had suffered a stroke and they were patient, caring, warm and friendly, very supportive towards family members and others. My stepdad took part in various activities to help stimulate him. In hospital he was just left in bed most of the day. Moving him to Cherry Tree was the best decision I made for him. he thrived and was so much better in himself. They made the time to get to know him & understand him & his needs as he couldn't communicate.

Our mother spent 12 days at Cherry Tree Nursing Home before she died. The care she received was outstanding. The staff treated her with dignity and respect and were so kind to us as relatives in a very sad situation. I was worried about her going into a nursing home but the manager took the time to allow me to express how I felt and was reassuring and kind. The staff went out of their way to make sure our mum was cared for properly and nothing was too much trouble.

We couldn't have wished for a better place for her.

Our Mum has been a resident at Cherry Tree for nearly a year. She was very poorly this time last year although she had carers coming to her house it was the time she needed full time care. She has dementia which has been a very slowly progressing illness for over ten years. She now looks better, she is so well cared for and fed, lovely food. Everyone who works at Cherry Tree are so kind and smiley. Mum is treated with dignity and gentleness.

Excellent care given to my mother in her 15 months at Cherry Tree. All the staff were dedicated to giving her the best care and keeping her cheerful with the daily activities,s he experienced new things with creating some art, watching some wonderful dancing and she loved seeing any animals who visited. I cannot fault the team, they were so caring and so very welcoming to me and my family & friends.

Cherry Trees have been brilliant with Mum - thank you! From my first phone call, and home visit, everything was dealt with compassionately and professionally. I am always impressed with the calm atmosphere when I visit. This was perfect for Mum when her memory issues cause her frustration and anxiety. She is used to a community, both at home and as a teacher, and, when she was able to partake in activities and she really thrived in the Cherry Tree environment. As her daughter, I know how verbally harsh her disappointment can be (!) and from my visits I can see that all the lovely staff have seen beyond this to the sweet lady underneath and really worked hard to settle and reassure her. She and dad were beyond cute at their reunion at home, although she was soon telling us what the clouds were doing and wanting to 'head home' again. She once played Dorothy in her school musical and I guess only Mum knows where her 'no place like home' truly is.

My mother needs round the clock care now, having fallen and broken her hip, among other health issues.
I visit her frequently, and always find the staff friendly and helpful.
The staff friendly and helpful. The home is set in beautiful grounds and is clean, well maintained, and welcoming.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives day & night. She is treated as an individual with respect, always.

Cherry Tree provided a long + peaceful sanctuary for my dad for a short while before he died of cancer. The whole team are professional and also so very warm + kind. My dad was kept pain free, clean + comfortable and very well fed. My heartfelt thanks to the manager, nurses, laundry + kitchen staff who looked after my dad and provided me and my mum with comfort. We are grateful and I know my dad was too.

Yesterday I lost my beloved husband of 58 years. He had suffered bladder, kidney and brain cancer,. We both felt so lucky that the NHS found a room in Cherry Tree where my husband could spend his last few weeks. It is such a wonderful home where the kind and caring staff could not do enough to make him comfortable and pain free. They are a close knit team and I take great solace that he felt their love to the end. They showed great love to me and our daughter during our precious last hours with him. Thank you.

My brother was admitted to Cherry Tree N.H. for pallative care. He received brilliant care from the 'blue army' of carers, or angels as I like to call them.
As relatives we also felt cared for and included. A real place of comfort when it was most needed. Thank you.
