Overall Experience
My aunt moved into the Residential Dementia Unit in Milton Court in early 2018, following a stay in hospital. She suffers from unspecified dementia and is at high risk of falls, so living alone at home was no longer a realistic option.
Prior to her admission, I visited numerous care homes in and around Milton Keynes and reviewed the CQC reports. This one was top of my shortlist, based on the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the variety of activities available and the cleanliness and layout of the home.

Since she moved in, I have been highly impressed by all the staff involved in her care, due to their attentiveness, patience and encouragement. They have promptly relayed any concerns, provided accurate updates on her progress and nothing has ever been too much trouble. They have surpassed my expectations and other visitors have commented on how impressed they were with the staff and facility. I would highly recommend Milton Court to anyone in a similar situation as the staff are amazing.

My Mum has been a resident of Milton Court for almost a year. Initially, she was in a residential unit for those with dementia. She settled very well and the staff were very caring. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was good, lots of lovely cakes and pastries in the afternoon. When a nursing room was required it was organised very quickly. Again, the staff have been very caring and nothing is too much trouble.

I feel confident that my Mum is safe, well cared for and content. The rooms are good, nicely furnished and always clean, in fact, the whole home is very clean. The laundry service is excellent too. All in all, it is a care home that I would recommend to anyone.

My dad has been a resident at Milton Court since September 2016. He is happy, well cared for and very well fed !!! His bedroom is always very clean and tidy. The staff are great, always answer any questions and are always cheerful. I am so pleased we found this lovely place for my 97-year-old dad. To see photos of him on facebook enjoying activities is so pleasing, I cannot thank you all enough.

My mum has been a resident of Milton Court Care Home for several years, and overall we could not wish for a more professional, but caring, home for her: especially as she gets frailer.
Management are quickly responsive to issues, nurses are excellent, and carers are, overall, well trained and very caring.

Here in Milton Keynes you'd be hard-pressed to find a better care home.

Dad has been living in the residential floor for just over a year. He helped choose Milton Court after we visited several care homes in the area. We found the staff so very friendly and welcoming and this makes a huge difference. Dad likes the additional hand rails in his lavatory. Which is a good wet room and has a fold down shower seat. The staff are outstandingly dedicated and are well-selected carers. Dad chooses to eat in his room but the restaurant is bright and fresh. There is a team of staff that organise trips and entertainment so there is always something going on. There is a new hair salon and a visiting hairdresser which is very good. I am very happy knowing dad is in safe hands.

My parents moved into Milton Court over 12 months ago and during that time I have been impressed by the friendliness and caring nature of the all the staff; carers, managers and office/reception. We have recently gone through the first annual review of their care and I was impressed by the detail recorded of all aspects of their day to day lives and health issues. My parents always hoped to end their days in there own home but a variety of issues made them realise they needed help available when problems arose. It is a great comfort to know how well they are cared for and to see and hear about them enjoying various activities and outings. With Avery winning not one but two awards this year for Best Care Home Provider it has reinforced my confidence that they are in safe and caring hands.

My father-in-law came to Milton Court Care Home for end-of-life care in early August. His care was funded by NHS continuing health care. He was very poorly with leukemia and had been moved from a hospice. After 11 days, he sadly passed away, but during that time he was treated without exception with care, compassion, and respect. As a family, we could not have wished for more. All the staff were absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Although my father-in-law was unable to use the facilities, we could see they were excellent. Many thanks.
