Rosedale Court has been a great place for Mum. Being bedridden after a hip injury for all of her stay here meant a high input of care was needed.
The staff are competent and caring. They can be trusted to do a good job. This was a great relief to us as we're unable to give this extra care after her fall.

Thank you Rosedale Court.

My mother came to Rosedale five weeks ago after being in a hospital for four weeks.
This has left her with dysphagia, unable to stand or walk, needing hoisted everywhere and using a wheelchair. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/dementia, this has meant some challenging times both mentally and physically. Her dietary needs are met from the homes wonderful chef. Mothers room and ensuite are clean, well furnished, with plenty of space for her clothing and personal belongings. The home is welcoming, clean and bright, with plenty of information posted so you know what is going on, especially the activities, that are many and varied, the staff encourage mum to take part in them. As a family we know she is being well cared for and in safe hands. The professionalism, dignity, patience and courtesy shown by the nursing and care staff is given with dedication and kindness.

The manager and her team are excellent, no matter how busy they are, always finding time to address any concerns.

I must say how lucky I have been to have been sent from the hospital to such a comfortable and well-run home. The staff have all been magnificent. Maybe night agency staff could be looked at. Food varied and of good quality. Rooms clean and comfortable.

My mum came to Rosedale after a fall. She had been struggling at home on her own for a few years. We could see the difference in her after just a week at Rosedale Court. The physio got her back on her feet. It was a slow transition for her to remember that she is going to stay at Rosedale. Mum often says in a surprised voice 'Can I stay here?' After a lot of reassuring Mum now knows this is her home.
The staff have all been fantastic. Since moving to Rosedale Mum has come to life. She's got new friends and they have regular outings. Mum has done more in the last six months than in the last six years.

To everyone at Rosedale, thank you.

I have been visiting my mum here since the home opened, almost 13 years ago. In all that time, I have never had any issues and the care and attention given to mum are exemplary. When I see the girls here, I feel so reassured as they don't just look after mum, they genuinely care and have become a part of my extended family.

My husband and my health were going down fast, I had a heart attack, a stent put in and looking after his ageing mother for 16 years. She broke her hip then after getting home had a stomach bleed. Husband had a 25cm hernia operation to get through.

We were both in a physical, mental and emotional turmoil. I felt as if I was not going to live much longer, 6 months to a year? As was arranged by Social Services to help us, mother-in-law was sent to Rosedale Court as she had not stood for months. I can honestly say that as we could see how happy mum was and how wonderful the staff were at Rosedale, I now feel as if I could have years ahead of my life instead of only months. My breathing has improved, my heart settled more. A big thank you to all at Rosedale Court. I feel they have truly saved my life. My husband is now healing well also. Rosedale is a tremendous help to so many people. Thank you very much.

My dad has been in Rosedale Court for nearly 4 years. He is cared for very well. His room is always clean and tidy. He has well-balanced meals which he enjoys very much. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, very polite and helpful. I would recommend Rosedale Court to family and friends.

Overall Experience
My bed-bound Aunt was seriously ill and was treated with kindness, respect and dignity by staff who are committed to their vocation – they do not treat the care of their residents as a job. I visited my Aunt at all times of the day, so I was able to see numerous members of staff interacting with residents and the care and consideration shown was outstanding.
My Aunt sadly passed away after 11 weeks of exceptional care at Rosedale Court. The staff were so kind to me on the day that she died. Even though they were busy, they found the time to check upon my welfare and needs – they even made me a coffee. I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and kindness, they were all brilliant but I especially want to thank three ladies.

Putting a loved one in a Nursing Home is a very hard decision to make, especially with all of the horror stories in the news. However I would recommend Rosedale Court to everyone, it is head and shoulders above the others I had viewed.

Mum has been a resident of Rosedale Court for four years. The home is a bright and pleasant place and Mum has a nice size room with her own toilet and washbasin. She has many of her own things around her which she was able to bring in, which makes her feel safe.

There is a lovely cafe which is always decorated in different themes, where I can take my Mum for a cup of tea and time together.

Mum enjoys the activities, day trips out, entertainment, craft work and cake decorating, and many other things.

Although the care is of a good standard, a bit more personal interaction with residents and families would be nice, but overall, I know my Mum is safe and her care is good.

Our experience has been very good. My dad was in a poorly state when admitted and has improved dramatically. Every member of staff we've met has been very helpful and courteous. My dad is encouraged to take part in all activities and to mix with other residents. Rosedale is a very friendly environment and has a lovely family feel.

A friendly atmosphere created by staff who work in all aspects of the care home. My father-in-law has been resident since December 2016 and I have been pleased with the efforts made to treat him with dignity and as an individual.

The caring staff share a good sense of humour with my father-in-law and I am left feeling that he is both safe and looked after.
