I am able to talk to staff, even at night, if I wake up!
It is like staying at a five-star hotel.
I am very happy here.
Overall, a very happy experience.
Some more trips outside of the home would be great.

My nan has been in Seven Arches since just before the start of lockdown, which was so hard for her as she is such a family lady and the rock to our family. However, the home worked endlessly with window visits, video calls and taking photos to put in cards and sent to families so they could see their
relatives having fun. This also gave us peace of mind to know they were keeping their spirits up. When Nan went into the home, she couldn't talk or eat due to having a stroke, but with the brilliant care from staff and encouragement from the activities lady, Nan is now able to say words and is eating three meals a day, which we never thought we would see. There are always different things going on to help with fundraising with coffee mornings, fetes and quiz nights. There's a happy, homely atmosphere with all the staff interacting with residents and families. The manager has been really helpful and worked her magic when Grandad had to come to the home.

I can't thank the Seven Arches staff enough for the care they have given my nan. She's been with you guys for a couple of years now and is very comfortable. The care has been wonderful, and the building is clean and tidy. Thank you for everything you've done.

I have a dear friend residing at Arches Nursing home. When I visited, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was everywhere. I was greeted at the door by one of the staff, who made me feel very welcome; there was an instant family feel as soon as I stepped foot in the door. My friend looked beautiful
and clean, and it was clear to see that she is being very well cared for. The staff were all really friendly, and all the residents in the lounge engaged happily with them all, which was great to see. My friend is so happy at this home.

I moved my husband to Seven Arches from a local care home as I was extremely unhappy with the standard of care there. Since the move, he has thrived. He is clean, out of bed daily, smiles and tried to put words together - something he has not done for over a year. The staff are welcoming, and the manager
is always visible around the home.
I am so very happy he is out of his previous home.

The staff are exceptionally caring. Staff retention seems good, which I think helps as they seem to understand the needs of individual residents and anticipate their needs in an individual manner. The manager has a hands-on approach and is always available. She always goes to chat with the residents/relatives/staff.
The entertainment lady is a wonderful addition to the team.

Since arriving, my mum has been treated with such care and love; it's been heart-warming. Everyone is so committed and attentive; it gives me so much confidence that the best care is being given to my mum. What is so wonderful is how my mum's dignity is maintained at all times. Although I know that
she is bedridden for so much of the day, she is always dressed, clean, and so wonderfully comfortable; it is a pleasure to see. I thank the team, who are so friendly and welcoming.

Mother was admitted in January 2022. We were immediately aware of the pleasant ambience and the courtesy of management and staff. Mother had a lovely room and was a happy and active resident until her dementia overcame her capabilities. Day and night nursing and care staff behaved with compassion and
professionalism to the end. Any criticism would seem childish, and other than occasional glitches in communication, our overall impression was of caring excellence.

My mother has been a resident of Seven Arches Nursing home for the past three years following a major stroke. My mum has very limited communication, and all the staff are absolutely brilliant; they all give Mum the love and respect that they would give to their own family members. Mum is always spotlessly
clean, and the staff always go the extra mile like painting her nails and doing her hair.
Sadly, back in December 2021, my father was on end-of-life care in the local hospital, and the management and staff at Seven Arches went above and beyond to get my father to the nursing home so that my parents could spend this precious time together. This was done with dignity and love and meant so much to my mum that she was able to be by my father's side.
The additional activities that the home does for all the residents are amazing; the staff do this out of love and not because they have to.
I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is cared for, but most importantly, the staff show her love.

My mum was a resident from November 2020 to July 2022.
Despite arriving during lockdown with a challenging condition, the home and staff cared for her very well. She was treated like family.
The nurses and staff always did their absolute best for our mum, and she was looked after well.
We were often
invited to activity and social fundraising days, which were excellent, and we always felt part of the care home extended family.
The nursing care is excellent.
On the night my mum died, the home couldn't have done more to support our family, and we will be forever grateful to them.

My relative was looked after well in this care home. The staff were all very friendly and approachable at all times.
During the pandemic, procedures were adhered to strictly to ensure the safety and protection of residents.
Activities and events were planned and managed well. Welcoming family members
to attend. They were great fun, and I am very grateful for some of the memories we have.
The night staff were exceptional in my relative's last hours. Kind, caring and compassionate, which made our difficult experience that little bit easier.

Mum was taken to Seven Arches Nursing Home two years ago. We found the staff extremely caring and very careful when Mum had episodes of illness.
There was a personal touch I felt that was given, and some staff members made a point of spending time getting to know Mum.
Some of the time during our stay
there were Covid rules in place, so we were unable to visit, but the manager made arrangements that we could see Mum through a doorway, which was considerate and appreciated.
There is a particular staff member who stands out for me, and that is the lady who arranges activities and fundraising events and through this, gave us all some very special memories with Mum.
During Mum's final hours - we were treated with such kindness and consideration - the staff members made those final hours more bearable, and they went above and beyond any expectations.
My overall experience of this nursing home is a positive one.

My father spent his last 2 weeks of life here and I regret my choice for the condition he had and the time he had left. The staff were friendly enough but some lacked the understanding and experience for his type of care and communication was very poor, which made it quite stressful for myself and him.
And I didn't make it in time for his final moments as I didn't get the call I requested soon enough.

My aunt has been a resident of Seven Arches for 7-years and has received very good care throughout. Any medical issues she has experienced have been investigated quickly and efficiently. Mum moved to Seven Arches in June 2019 having been given 3-months to live. It is a small home on lovely grounds, and although an older building, I felt it was a more friendly and personal environment for her to end her days. However, here she is more than 2-years later, at 91, still with us in the body
if not mind, so that in itself says a lot for the care given here. Looking after a dementia patient takes a lot of patience, and I cannot thank enough all those involved with Mum. In particular, a special thank you to the activities coordinator who goes above and beyond her job and also tirelessly fundraises to provide activities and outings for the residents. Mum is always clean, tidy, has her hair done, nails painted and is treated with dignity and respect. Communication is good with phone call updates from the nurses. Covid has been a difficult time, but, thankfully, the manager has been as accommodating as possible to ensure visits continued in some way. I have no regrets about having placed Mum here.

Mum was very poorly when she moved into Seven Arches, but as the staff looked after her, she began to find a new interest in life and is now restored to a much happier state. Staff have a wonderful attitude to caring for the residents. The building is tired in places, but everywhere is clean. The residents
and their clothes are beautifully clean, creating a lovely atmosphere in the home.

Poor care is given. Some very inexperienced care staff. Where there had been a lot of experienced long-standing staff, they had all left and been replaced by young staff who seemed to have little idea of my mother’s condition and needs. Records are inadequate and care plans are not accurate. Some nursing
staff are not proactive enough and lacking in confidence. Room cleanliness has deteriorated and I had to ask for the room to be cleaned after it was left dirty for ten days. The care home has noticeably deteriorated in the last eighteen months but particularly in the last year - COVID can be no excuse for this. There are a few lovely staff but the new staff is not nearly so engaged with the residents.

Firstly, our condolences to you and the family on the passing away of your mother. All new staff have been fully vetted to ensure they are able to give the highest level of person-centred care to our residents. Staff are continually trained to ensure they are kept abreast of the latest regulations and requirements. We have implemented an electronic care planning system since the beginning of 2020, which has led to improved and more detailed record keeping. Care plans are audited on a regular basis, both internally by the Nurses and by external auditors who monitor the Care Home, any discrepancies are immediately reviewed. Through a stringent auditing tool, we ensure that the Care Home is kept to the highest cleanliness standards. There is a daily cleaning schedule in place at the Home and we have also reviewed the data to identify any significant periods of time with regards to your mum’s room not being cleaned.
