During my mum’s 7-year stay, I have been pleased with the quality of care she has received.
I am always kept well informed of any concerns or treatment she needs, and the staff

seem to genuinely care about her well-being.

My aunt has been a resident of Seven Arches for 7-years and has received very good care throughout. Any medical issues she has experienced have been investigated quickly and efficiently. During this time, the staff have been unfailingly kind and caring towards her. During the difficult Covid months, they have shown great dedication and professionalism. Thank you.

Overall Experience

Mum moved to Seven Arches in June 2019 having been given 3-months to live. It is a small home on lovely grounds, and although an older building, I felt it was a more friendly and personal environment for her to end her days. However, here she is more than 2-years later, at 91, still with us in the body if not mind, so that in itself says a lot for the care given here. Looking after a dementia patient takes a lot of patience, and I cannot thank enough all those involved with Mum. In particular, a special thank you to the activities coordinator who goes above and beyond her job and also tirelessly fundraises to provide activities and outings for the residents. Mum is always clean, tidy, has her hair done, nails painted and is treated with dignity and respect. Communication is good with phone call updates from the nurses. Covid has been a difficult time, but, thankfully, the manager has been as accommodating as possible to ensure visits continued in some way. I have no regrets about having placed Mum here.

Mum was very poorly when she moved into Seven Arches, but as the staff looked after her, she began to find a new interest in life and is now restored to a much happier state. Staff have a wonderful attitude to caring for the residents. The building is tired in places, but everywhere is clean. The residents and their clothes are beautifully clean, creating a lovely atmosphere in the home.

Poor care is given. Some very inexperienced care staff. Where there had been a lot of experienced long-standing staff, they had all left and been replaced by young staff who seemed to have little idea of my mother’s condition and needs. Records are inadequate and care plans are not accurate. Some nursing staff are not proactive enough and lacking in confidence. Room cleanliness has deteriorated and I had to ask for the room to be cleaned after it was left dirty for ten days. The care home has noticeably deteriorated in the last eighteen months but particularly in the last year - COVID can be no excuse for this. There are a few lovely staff but the new staff is not nearly so engaged with the residents.

Further to my mother being transferred to Seven Arches when she needed nursing care due to her vascular dementia condition, she now seems to be more settled and happier, and this is due to the care and attention that she is receiving from the hard-working staff who are doing an excellent job of giving residents a quality of life.

I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home to others.

Seven Arches care home has always welcomed visits from relatives (Covid restrictions allowing). This is very reassuring. For instance, when there have been any concerns regarding my mother's health, I have been contacted immediately, and for instances, where I may have had any concern about my mother, I have been able to discuss this immediately with a member of staff. There is a spirit of openness within the home, which is very reassuring.
I have been impressed with the way the home has applied the Covid restrictions whilst maintaining contact with us relatives, ensuring even in the worst times, we were able to speak to my mother on the telephone. Staff went to great efforts to maintain contact between relatives and users.

There seems to be a personal interest by staff in every aspect of my mothers care needs.

The staff of all grades were very caring, even though we were only there a week.
My wife was treated with dignity and professionalism throughout. Visiting by myself and the family was very good, as we came and went virtually as we wished.

Very good.

Considering my mum's mental and physical health when she first became a resident at Seven Arches, two years later she is a different person. This is all down to the fantastic care and support that has been provided by the staff at Seven Arches. There is a truly friendly and homely atmosphere here, I am very lucky to have found such a special place to look after my mum. My heartfelt thanks are extended to everyone at Seven Arches, it is a wonderful place!

My mum has been living at Seven Arches for nearly three years. In that time she has been treated with kindness, respect and a great deal of care. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. I feel completely at ease with all the kind, caring staff. Mum's clothes are washed and ironed and folded away neatly every day, all staff are an assist to the home. One member of staff who arranges entertainment and outings is a ray of sunshine.

Whilst conscious that the home has had some issues in recent months, standard of care, dignity with which they treat their residents has been consistently high. Home is always spotlessly clean and staff care about the residents and their environment. I have no hesitation to recommend Seven Arches. My mum has been a resident here for 3 1/2 years.

My friend moved into Seven Arches Nursing Home a year ago.
She has settled in very nicely and seems to be well-liked by all the staff. The staff there are very friendly and seem to enjoy what they do.
The room she has is very comfortable and has just been re-decorated.
There are plenty of activities and entertainment going on. She has been taken out to the local carvery and for pie and mash, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
We now have peace of mind, knowing that she is well looked after and gets three good meals a day.

I have no hesitation in recommending Seven Arches.
