Always a warm welcome from the staff. My dad looks well, and his care is excellent as his needs are high. His room is warm and comfortable, and the good I've seen him eat is of a high standard, considering the number of meals that are prepared. It gives me and my family peace of mind that he is being well looked after, as we are not local.

I am very pleased with the standard of care my Mum receives here. She is happy, safe and well cared for, which is everything I could possibly want for her. Tall Trees is a great care home, well managed and the staff work well as a team! Good level of communication and there is always a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. All the residents are well supported, with plenty of activities and outings. Staff will always do their best and treat everyone like family!

The staff are very understanding, empathetic and patient. They are willing to listen to concerns or just waffle, which they must hear all the time. On my visit, a staff member went above and beyond to help.

My Auntie has recently become a resident at Tall Trees. The overall experience myself and my parents have found is outstanding. My auntie lived in Surrey but we chose for her to come nearer to us and from the day she was picked up, everyone has been amazing. Her room is lovely and very clean and she certainly enjoys the food, as she has put on weight since her arrival. Due to covid restrictions, I haven't been able to see her much yet but feedback from my mother is second to none. All the staff really do care.

Mum and Dad were residents together and the care given to them was outstanding. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in the home and the staff gave them a wonderful day. Dad sadly passed in March and Mum passed in November. The staff cared for them right to the end in such a loving way. We could not have asked for more. Thank you for the care and love you showed my parents, especially during such a difficult time.

First-class support and loving care to my recently deceased father. Tall Trees seemed an efficient care home but what stood out was the affection shown to my Dad during his stay and the tolerance shown as his dementia became increasingly an issue.

I was able to visit my partner in Tall Trees in person today; we could hold hands and had a cuddle, I had not been able to see him since last October when he was moved from a brain injury hospital.
He looked so well, had not forgotten me and was very jolly, and happy as you can imagine, I could see he had been very well looked after; the staff are amazing, their care is incredible.

Thank you all at Tall Trees for being so kind.

From my first meeting with the manager and staff at Tall Trees, I have been very impressed with the care and support provided to my great aunt, who has advanced dementia. She has a fantastic, spacious room with a great view of the garden, and the arrangements made for her transfer from her previous setting and to settle her in were superb.
Contact from the staff is great, with regular phone calls and updates on my aunt’s care and welfare. All the staff are extremely helpful, polite and considerate, and my aunt is much happier and more relaxed at Tall Trees.

The manager was extremely helpful in ensuring a smooth transition, assessment and support with understanding benefits etc when my aunt transferred and in talking me through the support and activities at Tall Trees.

Unfortunately, we had to make the difficult decision that Mum need additional care at the beginning of lockdown, which posed a number of difficulties. Tall Trees accommodated a visit so Dad could feel confident he was making the right decision and supported him through a very difficult admission process. Obviously, visiting has been an ongoing issue for care homes across the UK, but Tall Trees have done everything they can to keep us in touch with Mum virtually and answered any of our questions, including regular updates over the phone. They have continually adapted the visiting process to meet government guidelines and have been very understanding when Dad has needed additional reassurance over the last year. Every member of the Tall Trees staff seem to be part of a tight-knit community, and all work closely together with the families to ensure they provide the best care possible even with the challenges of the last year.

I'm very pleased with the care that my husband has been constantly receiving during his time as a Tall Trees resident. The management and staff are always kind and caring, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. I appreciate the regular communication I receive about my husband's welfare too, even despite the difficult times of the Covid Pandemic, and can't thank them enough, on behalf of me and my family!

I can’t speak highly enough about the management, nursing staff and all the carers and background staff of this excellent care home. My mother was a resident for 6-years, suffering from Alzheimer’s, with the need for constant personal care and was looked after with total professionalism and tenderness.

We choose Tall Trees to look after my Mum because the team were clearly equipped to deal with her very challenging dementia care needs. This was a distressing period for us all and immediately followed an extended stay in a psychiatric unit and a previous care home, so the choice was critical. Our criteria were based almost entirely on a reputation for the specific type of dementia nursing care which Mum needed after the very close care and attention provided in the hospital. The credentials of the Tall Trees team came through very strongly on our first visit, satisfying all of our specific "how would you cope with..." questions as well as leaving us with a very strong impression of warmth in the approach.

It was a very settled team who were well trained and worked well together, keeping us informed when required and unobtrusively. You always worry about the phone ringing, but at Tall Trees, we really felt that we could sleep again at night knowing that Mum was truly in expert hands

My mum has been at Tall Trees for many years now. How glad we all were that Mum was given the chance to stay here. At this care home or home as it is known to us, it is the loveliest place to be if you have dementia. It is very, very clean, clothes are washed and named lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The food is sensational, even a special homemade cake on your birthday. The manageress is lovely, always happy and helpful and always speaks to you. The carers treat my mum as they would treat their mum, her care is excellent, she is loved by all, she is well known for her singing, and the staff all join in with her. She has many problems as well as dementia, so the carers are very hands-on, it can not always be easy, so I am truly thankful to everyone for the love, kindness and care that they give to her. The care that she is given, you can not put a price on to be able to become a daughter rather than a carer gives you the freedom to realise how difficult your life has become.

Mum is very happy at Tall Trees - they always work hard to identify and meet her needs. She is very content here - she says that she is ‘living the life of a lady’. She is very positive about the staff saying that they are ‘very kind’. There is excellent person-centred care - allowing Mum to take the lead. Her behaviour can be problematic later in the day - they cope with this well and continually review what is the best approach. Mum really benefits from the activity programme - the home have done brilliantly to keep this going during Covid. The food is excellent - freshly cooked on-site and flexibly provided. They have a 4 weekly ‘Resident of the Day’ process which involves a telephone review when they feed back to us. In addition they are very good at letting us know straight away of any significant issues and always ask our permission where relevant. The home are brilliant at taking our ideas on board - it really does feel like a partnership.

Mum has Alzheimer's and although it's hard to have to move someone from one home to another, we knew that Mum needed to be with staff who could help her to make sense of her world and provide the protection, reassurance and care that she needed. So the search began and after looking at many homes I asked for a second visit to Tall Trees. This time, I had the experience of having visited other 'dementia friendly' homes and so I knew what I was looking for; kindness, friendliness and compassion and this is just what I found. You can have top-notch cinema rooms, hair salons etc, but without the human touch and genuine care and concern for your loved one, they mean nothing. Since moving Mum last Spring, I have seen less of a decline in Mum's condition, she seems happier and more settled, she has made friends, she joins in with activities, has learned to 'Facetime', and she receives excellent care from all the staff who are truly amazing, and I'm happy too - a lovely bonus!

Meet the Team (1)

Cristian Lupescu
Cristian LupescuJob Title:Home Manager

Hi, I’m Cristian, and I joined Care UK in March 2026 after working as a Deputy Manager. I had wanted to join Care UK because of its strong reputation, values and commitment to delivering the highest quality care. The positive feedback I received from fellow managers and nursing colleagues confirmed it was the right place for me to continue my career. I have also completed the C36 Leadership Course, which has helped develop my leadership skills.

I believe a Home Manager should be compassionate, approachable and an effective leader, with strong organisational and decision-making skills. My favourite part of the day is seeing high-quality care being delivered and the positive difference it makes to our residents' wellbeing, dignity and independence.

One of my proudest career achievements was being appointed Home Manager at Tall Trees shortly after becoming a Deputy Manager. It was a significant milestone that reflected the trust placed in my leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional care.

What makes me most proud is seeing residents happy and smiling while knowing our team feels supported, valued and motivated. The most important part of my role is ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, person-centred care while creating a positive environment where colleagues can develop, work together and thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as football and fishing, which help me relax and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
