In my opinion, Tall Trees is an excellent care home. The staff work very hard to maintain high standards of nursing and cleanliness. I value the dedication and kindness of each of member of the team at Tall Trees; they have brought me peace of mind knowing my mother has her needs met 24/7. The management and carers are always busy, but always put the resident's priorities above everything else. My mother, who has struggled with her health in recent years, always speaks highly of the staff and the quality of food on offer.

100% an amazing nursing home. My husband is very well looked after and it is worth every penny as he is very well looked after and knowing this gives me peace of mind. The care is amazing and staff are all very pleasant both when I came in and now when I ring they are always happy to help. I have always felt welcome and are very polite. The manager always took time out of her day to talk to me and now at this time we have regular chats and emails I am very grateful and I couldn't ask for more for my love one and I always tell the staff my appreciation and gratitude when I call.

One of the hardest decisions I have had to make was to look for a residential home, where I would hand my husband's care over to others. After visiting many establishments I chose Tall Trees. When my husband was admitted to Tall Trees from hospital, he was a very sad gentleman, unable to walk, talk or attend to any of his personal needs, 'Advanced Dementia'. It has been three weeks from admission and a 'metamorphosis' has occurred! The improvement must be afforded to the dedication of the wonderful staff and the tender care he receives. Staff are kind, patient, attentive, passionate, and at all times display 'upholding the valued principles of care'. The love and care afforded to my husband is also given to me. My husband smiles again, is mobile and takes part in conversation. The home is clean, warm and happy, a feeling of home from home, I love visiting. Staff are always sharing/receiving information and nothing is ever too much trouble. The manager and her wonderful staff have so much to be proud of, exemplary in every aspect. Food is cooked to perfection, and of the highest quality, the home is free from odour, laundry is cleaned and returned maintaining dignity. May I take this opportunity to thank the manager and her staff for allowing me to return to being 'a wife'. Thank you.

A very comfortable home but in need of some modernisation in some areas. The home is reasonably well organised but the second floor, where my brothers room is, could benefit from having slightly more residents that my brother could relate to.

What a pleasure to visit. The home always warm and welcoming. Wonderful entrance, spotlessly clean, no smell, coffee and cake. Chairs to sit in. Manager always willing to chat. Corridors, lounge, bedrooms always clean/warm. No unpleasant odours! Staff always welcoming and friendly, smile on faces. Interact with patients with patience and good humour, food home cooked and nutritious, nothing too much trouble if asked for something different.

The loving and committed care of your residents/patients is outstanding and is clearly the priority in the home. Staff clearly enjoy and love their work and their patients which comes over in the care and the attention given and shown to them and to their families and visitors.

The easy accessibility to visitors and the patients to talk with staff is very good and reassuring and there is a real warmth in the atmosphere in Tall Trees. The staff appear to be a well-knit team who have smiles for everyone and acknowledge all who them. The above is true in both palliatives care and recuperation and respite care. The food is excellent and the welcoming tray of coffee and cakes in the foyer is a lovely and welcoming find. It was reassuring to see how staff sat with patients and to see how care and vigilance was individualised to each person. Thank you.

I am so grateful that our GP recommended that my wife and I should come here together so that we could have the very best personal care and consideration. This was exemplary in the kindness and understanding (when she could barely communicate) in the last three weeks of my wife's life.

I have benefited similarly in my extended period of respite care which enables me to return home alone, well fed and rested.

My husband has been a resident in Tall trees for the past three years. I visit daily between 12 and 6.30pm. I can honestly say from day one, I have been very impressed by the kindness of the staff, who also make my visits most welcoming.
The food menus are in my opinion deserving of a Michelin Star.

Tall trees is such a happy place to be, so I've instructed my family to reserve a room for me if ever I need special care in the future.

This is a very well organised home. The caring is excellent. They are compassionate and supportive at all times. Nothing is too much trouble. Food and cleanliness is of high standard. I visit 3 days a week 10 - 6.30. Each day the carers work hard and make me feel welcome in this loving and friendly environment. I sing their praises all day long.

My mother-in-law has been a resident in Tall Trees for almost two years. During this time, she has received nothing but the best care, love and attention. Whenever we visit, it is always clean. Her clothes are clean, her hair is washed and cut and her nails cut and filed. There is always a happy and homely atmosphere in Tall Trees and we are constantly moved by the care that is shown to my husband's mother. Thank you Tall Trees.

My Mum spent 8 months in Tall Trees' care prior to her death in August - the 'Thank You' letter, below, sums up my family's sentiments:

To: ALL Staff at Tall Trees.
Since my mother arrived at Tall Trees at the end of 2015, the level of care, attention and genuine compassion for her has been a source of great comfort for her family as well as for my Mum.
It was a big step, placing her into the care of strangers. But you weren’t ‘strangers’ for long - we realised that we had been amazingly lucky to have found you as your affection and care for my Mum were amazing.
We knew our limitations and could not give her the care and support she needed but, with you, she was safe, secure and loved.
Your care and attention extended to my Mum's family and we always felt welcome – on her final day, we were very touched by your attention, professionalism and warmth. We were so glad that we could share Mum with people who thought so much of her and we are enormously grateful.

On behalf of her family, Colin.

Meet the Team (1)

Cristian Lupescu
Cristian LupescuJob Title:Home Manager

Hi, I’m Cristian, and I joined Care UK in March 2026 after working as a Deputy Manager. I had wanted to join Care UK because of its strong reputation, values and commitment to delivering the highest quality care. The positive feedback I received from fellow managers and nursing colleagues confirmed it was the right place for me to continue my career. I have also completed the C36 Leadership Course, which has helped develop my leadership skills.

I believe a Home Manager should be compassionate, approachable and an effective leader, with strong organisational and decision-making skills. My favourite part of the day is seeing high-quality care being delivered and the positive difference it makes to our residents' wellbeing, dignity and independence.

One of my proudest career achievements was being appointed Home Manager at Tall Trees shortly after becoming a Deputy Manager. It was a significant milestone that reflected the trust placed in my leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional care.

What makes me most proud is seeing residents happy and smiling while knowing our team feels supported, valued and motivated. The most important part of my role is ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, person-centred care while creating a positive environment where colleagues can develop, work together and thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as football and fishing, which help me relax and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
