At all times, my husband's care and nursing matched his needs. All members of staff ensured he was well taken care of and treated with kindness and attention. He felt safe and secure and trusted that his needs were recognised and met.
Thank you for your lovely review, it was an honour to care for your husband and he will be deeply missed.
When I arrived, I was in a bad state, having suffered a bad fall only 2 weeks after receiving a knee replacement. I received a wonderfully warm & caring welcome. Such was the nature of the care I received throughout my stay. I received physio every weekday for one hour. It was always on a one to one basis. It has proved very effective & I feel my whole stay here has been very worthwhile.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. Providing exceptional care is our top priority and your feedback motivates us to keep exceeding expectations and we hope that you are continuing in your good progress.
We found the staff attentive, friendly and very accommodating. The premises were clean, the food prepared freshly & good quality, staff happy to feed resident food brought in by the family. The room was always kept clean & tidy. Only minor issue was constant work/repairs which was sometimes very noisy.
Thank you for your positive review. We hope your sister has continued to do well since discharging from us. Please accept our apologise for the noise during her stay, maintenance is sometimes unavoidable. All the best and best wishes from everyone at Uplands.
I was so impressed with the care that the staff provided for my sister. The nurses and the carers and care home managers were amazing. They were all very upbeat and caring. The kitchen staff were very good too - cooking meals from scratch.
We are happy to hear that you were impressed with our service.
Providing exceptional care is our top priority and your feedback motivates us to keep exceeding expectations.
I'll make sure to pass your kind words to the rest of the team.
All the best.
Everyone is very mannered and they cheer me up a lot. It took a long time to get used to having my leg off and all the staff were helpful and got me through this. So thank you Uplands, great place.
Jackie - Thank you for your kind words, it's good to hear that we were able to support you during a difficult time. You also cheer us up daily.
In April of this year (2024) I had my left hip replaced and as I live on my own and have no immediate family to look after me I felt it was necessary to be looked after in a care and rehabilitation centre for the period immediately after being discharged from the hospital. I felt that I needed care and physiotherapy rehabilitation services and looked for an appropriate care centre in the area that provided both these services. I searched extensively in the local area and much to my surprise the only centre that provided the services that I required was Uplands. I was discharged from hospital after four days and I went straight to Uplands. All the nursing staff were very friendly and I was looked after with great care and professionalism, receiving exactly the type of care for which I had hoped! In the same way, the physiotherapy care that I received was very professional and just what I required immediately after hip surgery! I was looked after wonderfully well and had a very enjoyable stay in Uplands.
Thank you for your positive review. I hope you have continued to do well since discharging from us. All the best and best wishes from everyone at Uplands.
We had to find a residential physio for an elderly relative further to a mutual month hospital stay. Uplands was extremely accommodating as we were performing due diligence and ensured that she had the necessary medical attention as well as physio. The stay was for 2 weeks and there was considerable improvement as a result of the stay that has set our relative up to be a little more independent and to move into the next stage of recovery.
Thank you for your positive review. I hope they have continued to do well since discharging from us. All the best and best wishes from everyone at Uplands.
My brother has been at Uplands for 10 months, it has been a difficult time for us and my brother. The staff have been so supportive my brother has made good progress. The physio rehab has been great, and the management and the staff have been very patient and kind. I have felt very humbled and supported as a family and for my brother. Just a big thank you to Upland.
Thank you for your positive review. I hope you have continued to do well since discharging from us. All the best and best wishes from everyone at Uplands.
I know my review is a little late but I want to add that my stay in Uplands Rehabilitation Centre was absolutely fine and I was well looked after during my stay there. It gave me the start on my road to recovery that I needed from brain surgery.
Thank you for your positive review. I hope you have continued to do well since discharging from us. All the best and best wishes from everyone at Uplands.
I was treated very well by all the staff, who were very kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble. Physios were excellent, and my mobility and balance are vastly improved after my brain surgery. I cannot thank Uplands enough - an excellent facility!
Hello Paul, thank you for the lovely review. You've done amazingly well with your rehabilitation here with us.
Friendly team. Professional and polite. Overall, good food and excellent cooks. Treated with dignity and respect. Overall therapies give good input. However, these could be tailored to individuals showing progress.
Thank you for your lovely review. I am proud of our team here at Uplands. I know there are areas we can improve and are always trying to do this.
I was here for eight weeks recovering from Guillain-Barré syndrome. The care I received was above and beyond. The nurses were professional and caring and you're encouraged to make your room a home from home. The physiotherapy team were amazing; encouraging, very professional and make you laugh. I went in there on a stretcher and when I left I was able to walk. I cannot thank them enough, when I was in hospital I had given up and they got my determination to recover back again. Thank you everyone.
Good afternoon and thank you for the lovely review. I am so happy for your progress and hope it continues well for you. You worked so hard with us at Uplands.
The facilities and the care were excellent. The people working there are very friendly, caring and helpful, could not be better. My mother's rehabilitation has been extremely successful - a large part of which I put down to this centre and the people working there.
Good morning Martin, thank you for your kind words and review about us here at Uplands. Your mum has done very well and worked hard to achieve her goals here.
From most staff, I received great service. There could always be an improvement and since being home I’ve realised some areas which could get better quite easily. I can’t fault the physio staff, who worked with me to regain my strength.
Hello, thank you for your kind words, yes we always have room for improvement. We like to continually improve our service. If you're happy to email me then please do and we can take this onboard.
Following a hip replacement I came to Uplands for two weeks. The care and attention were faultless. All the staff I.e nurses and care workers, kitchen staff, cleaners, physio dept and management could not do enough and nothing was too much. I am now in a much better place than when I came.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us here at Uplands. And thank you for the lovely feedback.
Being greeted by the friendly staff members, to being cared for and being shown respect and being treated with dignity.
My stay here is the start of a long journey but I am so thankful that I found this facility.
The physios have been amazing, encouraging me and pushing me to make progress.
After being told I could be confined to a wheelchair, in three weeks I am standing, walking (to a fashion) with assistance on a frame.
The meals are great quality as well as being nutritional and the alternative therapies are fun and encourage residents to interact.
Rooms are good and kept very clean.
Nothing is too much trouble. It is almost home from home.
Hi Jane
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We try our hardest to make each individual flourish and achieve their goals.
I was sent to Uplands in January 2022 for eight weeks and I thought I was going to hate it. But after a day or two, I knew I was wrong about the place. I cannot say how wonderful those people are. I was totally paralysed and very frightened because I couldn't help myself, but the lovely staff made me feel good. I owe the staff everything and so do my family because, without them, I don't think I would be here. I am now walking with a frame, which is all down to them. Every single one of them, the night staff were great too and always made me laugh. The food was good and the best homemade cheesecake anywhere. Thank you everyone I will never forget you all.
Thank you for your lovely review Jackie, we are all so proud of your achievements! We won't forget you.
All the staff are so friendly, helpful and patient. The food is great. A really caring place for recuperation.
Hi there, thank you for your kind words; it means a lot to us. We endeavour to provide a friendly and caring service - a home away from home - so I'm pleased that was your experience.
Excellent physiotherapy.
I am sorry that we did not entirely meet your requirements here at Uplands. We aim to get at least 4 stars from each of our categories. We would be happy for you to contact us to elaborate more and this will give us the opportunity to know where we can improve.
