The light, airy, welcoming care home promotes independent living for either long or short term stays. A wide range of activities focuses on fun and happiness. They include discussion groups, visits from entertainers, musicians, local schools, baking and outings to local places of interest.
All the care home’s 20 spacious rooms are ensuite with a private terrace and direct access to the gardens. The sunny restaurant always offers varied, healthy and appetising meals with snacks and drinks always available at other times. The catering team regularly consults with the residents to ensure all individual preferences and diets are taken into consideration.
Anyone who moves in to a Brendoncare home as a permanent resident is eligible for our Care Life. This is a charitable top up payment ensures that once welcomed into our home, we will not ask anyone to leave other than in exceptional circumstances.

Following a long career in the Financial Services industry I began volunteering at Brendoncare Knightwood supporting activities and events alongside the other volunteers and the Brendoncare Wellbeing Team, in 2023 I was delighted when the opportunity arose to join the Brendoncare Wellbeing Team in a part-time role. I enjoy being part of the Brendoncare team and it is a pleasure spending time with the residents, both individually and as part of a group, and supporting them to live their best life possible. No two resident’s needs are the same and adaptability is key. Making a positive contribution to enrich the lives of our residents, and support their independence, makes the role rewarding and so much more than simply a job.

Before this I worked at Bishopstoke Retirement Village after relocating from Spain where I lived and worked for 15 years.
I joined Brendoncare when I was 16, becoming a member of the kitchen team, but am now Head Chef. One of my proudest achievements is leading the development of modified diets at Knightwood, for which I undertook specialist training.
