Sorry but I find it very hard to put down in writing, but I will say Langdale has been great for my sister. The carers are brilliant and this is the best place for my sister.
Nursing staff are very quick to identify signs of sepsis and ensured immediate hospital treatment, resulting in full and effective recovery. Always seem to be aware of residents' mental and physical situations and able to identify subtle changes very early.
My (step) mother has been at Langdale Nursing Home for nearly a year now and seems very settled. At times because of her dementia, she can be a little difficult at times but the staff are very patient, kind and caring. She is always clean and well dressed. I would highly recommend Langdale and its staff.
Thank you for your kind words which I have passed on to our staff.
I visit monthly. I find Langdale great, never a smell. Residents never moaning and always clean. Always staff in the lounge. Food always looks homemade. A very happy atmosphere.
1st class service to relatives/friends. An excellent care home, in fact, the best.
My daughter has been comfortable and happy with you.
Staff always pleasant on the phone.
Nothing appears to be too much trouble for any staff member.
Wonderful caring people who are looking after my mother so well. They are so kind to her and me, her family can rest assured that she is being so well looked after.
Thank you for your comments which are very much appreciated.
All staff are kind, helpful and understanding. Also management. Thank you.
My only complaints are that there is a poor choice of food and residents are often left alone with no one watching over them.
Thank you for your comments which I would be happy to discuss when you next visit your Mum.
Dad when for 2 weeks respite at Langdale and every one made him and us feel relaxed and welcomed.
Behind the scenes, they really helped with setting up social services, his medication and issuing him with a mobility frame.
I would and have mentioned this home to other people to recommend it.
Other days she's been well looked after in the communal lounge.
Thank you for your positive feedback. With regard to activities, we provide a wide range of person centred activities on a daily basis.
My step son has been at the care home for several years now and would recommend this home, as he has been taken very good care of. The staff are very helpful and it has been the best care home he has ever lived in.
Extremely good care from the care staff, they are always polite and respectful when dealing with my father. His overall health has improved during his time at the Langdale facility. I think the home could benefit from a lick of paint, some of the rooms and communal areas look a little tired.
I cannot fault the care, consideration and time given to my stepfather whilst in Langdale. His dignity was maintained throughout his stay and the best recommendation I can give is when we asked him how he felt about being in Langdale and he said 'My dear, if you reach the stage in life when you have to come to one of these places, I couldn't be anywhere better'.
Thank you for your lovely comments which I shall pass on to all the staff.
Good food. Always try and sort out any queries if possible. Good activity programmes and entertainment. Lovely garden.
Would like easier internet access i.e generally Wi-Fi not different suppliers for each room
(Sky etc)
Thank you for your positive feedback. With regard to the Wi-Fi to the Garden Rooms we are trying to sort out the best system for the whole building at present and hopefully we will have some options at the beginning of the New Year.
Although my period of contact with Langdale Nursing Home was short, my sister-in-law was very well looked after. Although ill, she felt safe and comfortable and liked the staff. I felt her needs were attended to and nursing care was very good. When she passed away all arrangements were attended to promptly.
Lovely staff, they made his stay with them very good. It was his home, not just a nursing home. That's what they told him on arrival and it was very true.
whilst still providing all the necessary nursing services.
A very nice, clean and welcoming place.
Always striving to improve and real caring going on all of the time.
My brother is very happy at Langdale Nursing Home, they look after him very well and help with his needs, he takes part in several activities within the home and also in the community, the staff are always happy to help when needed.
