Over all time Hartwell Lodge Care Home has 79 reviews.
He’s been there for a couple of months now and has made a great connection with both staff and other residents.
Really recommend this place to any one who is thinking of putting anyone one they love in to care.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, Dad is already a huge part of Hartwell Lodge and his settling in transition has gone from strength to strength.
During my recent visits to my Mother and daily phone calls the staff have always been extremely helpful and cooperative and always have my mothers and the other residents interests and well being to heart.
Thank you for your review, Mum is so very important to us and we are grateful she is part of our extended family.
My mother in law had previously stayed at Hartwell Lodge after a fall at her home, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She returned to Hartwell permanently after her health started to decline, we had total peace of mind as the staff were amazing, very friendly and caring. The Manager was very friendly, professional and kept us updated on Mum. Sadly my Mother in law passed, and we can't thank the manager and her staff enough for all the care and compassion they showed us, we would highly recommend Hartwell Lodge to anyone in need of care
Thank you for your kind review, we are truly grateful for the heartfelt gratitude for our staff. The feedback from our loved ones is invaluable in showing potential loved ones the level of care we provide. Thank you.
The manager made a visit to our home to carry out a very thorough initial assessment of my partner's needs in preparation for his five-night respite stay at Hartwell Lodge Care Home. This care home is so welcoming and homely, dispelling any misgivings that family may have of trusting that their loved ones will be well looked after. During his stay, my partner received excellent care and attention from the friendly, professional carers. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hartwell Lodge Care Home to friends and family.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to meet you partner and a pleasure to give you both comfort and piece of mind during his stay. We look forward to welcoming him back
The responsibility of passing Mum's needs onto strangers filled me with dread. Those fears started to be allayed the first time we set foot into the home. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and could not do more to settle Mum in. There is access to her whenever I need it and that flexibility is vital for me as I am working full time. The manager is very accessible and responds very quickly to any queries raised. The physical and mental requirements of the residents are met and there is something put on for them every day to keep them active in body and mind. The other residents have been welcoming to Mum and she has made friends quicker than I expected. This is a tremendous blessing as that was a real concern of mine because Mum is not particularly outgoing. The food is good, so I am told and there is a spacious well-kept garden for the residents to use as well. Whilst it was difficult to pass responsibility for Mum onto others, I am very happy with our choice.
Thank you for your review. Mum is already an important part of our extended family, and she has settled so well. It is a pleasure to ensure you can visit whenever is best for you both.
I live away and can’t get to see my Dad as and when I’d like to so Hartwell lodge, being up to date with technology, allow me to use video calls to speak to my Dad as and when I can. I’m very grateful for this and it’s comforting to know he’s safe and happy.
Thank you for your review, we realise how important it is to continue to stay in touch in tough times. We will continue to support you to see Dad how and whenever you need.
My Grandmother is in the incredible care of Hartwell Lodge Care Home and my family and I couldn't be more grateful for the incomparable levels of care given to her by the team here. Nothing is too much for them, they continually involve us in decision making for her, continually update us with how Nan is getting on, the facilities are perfect for her needs, the vast array of entertainment, the catering, the prompt way they deal with any additional needs (equipment or medical attention), everything is just wonderful we couldn't imagine her being anywhere else know, we sleep easy at night knowing she's in the best hands.
Thank you for your kind review, we are very thankful your loved one is in our care. We cherish our reviews and will continue to give good person tailored care. Thank you Amie.
We chose Hartwell Lodge Care Home for my wonderful Mum, last September, when we could no longer meet her needs at home and immediately knew we had made the right decision. They are a caring, friendly team with all the necessary skills and experience. The manager and staff were excellent at keeping us updated and welcoming us in and this was especially the case during the last few weeks when she was approaching end of life. A big thank you to them all. We would recommend the home.
Thank you for your invaluable review, our team are wonderfully dedicated individuals and it is a pleasure to have supported your kind mum. Thank you.
In July 2021 our Mum suddenly needed 24-hour care. Although we considered other care homes, Hartwell Lodge Care Home had been highly recommended by a family friend whose relative had received excellent care there. I viewed the home with my brother and our first impression of a well-run home with a warm, caring atmosphere has proved right since Mum moved in. We were very grateful that the manager and team responded quickly when we asked for a room as soon as possible. Since then the staff have been very caring and supportive. Mum has been helped to settle in and she tells us that she enjoys the food. We now have ‘peace of mind’ that Mum is safe and well cared for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a lovely review. It is a pleasure to support Mum and your family.
My mum came in May until she passed away in August. The care was amazing and she was so well looked after. The home was spotless, Mum was always clean and tidy. When Mum came towards end of life care the staff were fantastic nothing would be any bother. They also cared for me and my family - what more could you ask for. Mum died with the most caring staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a great pleasure to support Mum and your family. Mum will be sadly missed. She was a lovely lady and we enjoyed being able to support her in every way.
My mother, unfortunately, needed 24-hour care and as a family, after much looking, we chose Hartwell Lodge. For the short time she has been there we are extremely happy with the care she has received. And would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone needing a very homely caring residential home. This is their home after all now and this care home provides that.
Mum came into the home 8 months ago in a poor state. Wheelchair-bound and with other medical problems. With the constant love and caring of very professional staff, she has settled well (now referring to her room as "her home"!). Having lived by herself for many years she now loves the opportunities the home provides for social activities and joins in and enjoys most of them. She is a very strong and determined lady and has been helped and encouraged to get out of her wheelchair and now proudly walks around the house with a frame. - Not bad for someone of 96 years old! - A big thank you to all the staff for their loving, caring service.
Thank you for your lovely review, we pride ourselves on the person centred care we provide. Your Mum is a very important part of Hartwell Lodge family and we are very happy she chose us.
Fantastic care home. Staff brilliant and really looked after my Mum. The Manager kept us informed throughout the entire time my Mum was there. Would highly recommend. Hopefully Mum won't need to return but if she does I would not worry about her being there. 10 stars out of 10.
Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure to support your Mother back to health. We look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
The care my dad has received since going to Hartwell Lodge in May 2020, has been exceptional, the manager and most care staff are exceptional and are so kind and compassionate to my dad as well as my family. Nothing is to much for them to ensure my dad is well cared for and they go the extra mile often, my dad always looks so well and happy! He looks the best he has in many years. I cannot thank Hartwell Lodge enough, they are truly amazing people. Thank you!
Many Thanks
My father has been at the home since Feb 2020. We can see he is receiving very caring support from the care staff team. There is always a very friendly atmosphere in the home, with much evidence of positive activity for the residents. The managing staff are very committed and keep me well updated. So far, I rate the home very highly.
Thank you so much for your welcomed review. We are proud to have been given the opportunity to support your Dad and we can’t imagine our service without him.
Absolutely thrilled with the care my mother is receiving. Things were not good for Mum before she arrived here; now she is happy, putting on weight, looking forward to and enjoying her meals. She loves the staff, and they go out of their way to meet her needs. Can’t fault anything.
Thank you for these kinds words, your Mum has settled well and is part of our extended family. Also, we have really appreciated all of your kind gifts that you have sent for the team throughout these difficult times.
My uncle went to Hartwell Lodge for some respite care after a fall, he was apprehensive at first but he was made so welcome by all of the staff and was put at ease. The staff there are excellent, very caring, patient and understanding, as is the manager, she made sure everything was in place, medications etc. The whole home has a very homely, bright, happy feel to it, it was very clean and my uncle said the food was fantastic (the food really did look good). The events coordinator is brilliant, they are so many activities that the residents can get involved in, and most of them do, and they love it. I was amazed at how lovely the staff are, always so friendly and they all made sure my uncle was clean, comfortable and happy. I can not stress enough what a really wonderful place this is. Should my uncle need further respite or need a home full time at some point, Hartwell Lodge will be our first choice.
Thank you very much for your review - it is much appreciated and we will be sure to share it with the team. We are so glad your Uncle enjoyed his stay with us and he is welcome back at any time!
Most importantly, Grandad loves it! He feels well looked after and gets the attention and care that he had begun to need. It is reassuring to his family knowing that he is cared for and there is always someone there if he needs anything.
Thank you for reviewing our service. We are so happy that your grandad loves living at Hartwell and that your family feel reassured.
My parents recently moved in, whilst upsetting for them and the whole family it was made so much easier by the wonderful staff who welcomed them so warmly! They have settled in so well and are now very content. When we visit we are made to feel very welcome, staff are always willing to help and listen to any concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to review our service, we are so glad your parents are settled in.
He appears to be settled now.
