I am so happy with Ashview Nursing Home, my Nan came to live here in December, and what a transformation! My Nan was extremely anxious and afraid of what the future held for her.

Ashview have made her feel truly at home, the care is second to none and everyone is so friendly and welcoming when I visit.

My brother moved to Ashview Nursing Home in December 2017, a hospital consultant had told me he had 'weeks, months, maybe less' to live. He was in Ashview Nursing Home for nearly three years and five months, passing away there on the fourteenth of May. The excellent care he received by everyone enabled him to live comfortably, feel respected and valued. He enjoyed the food but was also offered alternatives such as cheese on toast if that's what he fancied at the time. If I took homemade soup, I was welcome to heat it up in the kitchen for him or they would do it for me. My brother chose not to take part in activities, despite encouragement but I have seen some of these taking place when I visited and noticed the joy of the residents and staff, who were joining in. I was kept informed of any changes in his health, his wishes regarding not going to hospital unless absolutely necessary. which was on one occasion were followed and staff delivered end of life care with dignity and respect. I thoroughly recommend Ashview Nursing Home.

Our father has been at Ashview Nursing Home for nine weeks now following an unplanned stay in hospital. The friendly staff welcomed him warmly and helped him settle in, despite two weeks of Covid-19 isolation. They have been very attentive to his evolving nursing needs, personal needs and have notified us when there are matters of health concern. We feel he is safe, in good hands and there is an effective working relationship with the local GP surgery. The management team is very approachable and responsive to requests. Dad enjoys the tasty food, which is important to him and there is always a jug of squash on hand for hydration. The room is always bright, airy and clean. Covid-19 precautions for visitors are followed as per government guidelines, with flexibility shown where possible and appropriate to Dad’s approaching end-of-life. The staff extend a warm welcome to family visitors too. We are very pleased with our choice of home, which we had to make with little notice or preparation.

Thank you for your candid feedback detailing your experience of our home. Understandably, it’s been very difficult for many people joining our home during the pandemic, and we offer you our gratitude for your kind words. Our staff work exceptionally hard to ensure all our residents’ needs are met...

My mother has been a resident at Ashview for over a year now, the care she receives is second to none. The kindness and interaction given by all the staff is amazing. My mother went into Ashview for end of life care, and due to the fantastic care and dedication from staff and management that she has received, she is still with us. Ashview is a happy place for the residents to be, with many activities, workshops etc to suit every resident's needs and ability. The management have guided me through my mum's journey, with their help, care and always updating me with any issues mum may have, especially under the Covid 19 pandemic. Cleanliness is great, food is excellent, nursing staff are very kind and professional, the Manager is a tribute to the home, the carers are of a very high standard, along with the administration staff. I cannot rate Ashview highly enough, it’s like one big, happy family and I am honoured to be a part of it. Thank you to all at Ashview for everything.

My best friend of 65 years has just spent 8 weeks in Ashview on palliative care. All through that time, the staff who also had to cope with the Covid lockdown, looked after him as if he was their Grandad. Whenever I phoned because he was unable to use his mobile, whoever answered the house phone straight away, offered to take the phone to him or help him to use his mobile. His wife, family and friends were all delighted with the way he was looked after in such a sad time. Bless you - you were all wonderful.

My uncle has been a resident at Ashview Nursing Home for nearly a year. I can't praise the Manager and Staff highly enough for the way my uncle is cared for. The past six months have been exceptionally difficult for the care home sector and it is noteworthy that Ashview had no cases of Covid at all. It has been equally difficult for the residents as no visiting was allowed, but the staff were exceptional in organising activities on a daily basis to ensure the residents were still able to have fun and laugh. They organised a Beatles concert a few days ago which we were able to zoom into - the enjoyment was evident on the faces of all the residents. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Absolutely top rate and highly recommended.

The care my mother-in-law received during her stay here has been excellent. The care received from the staff has been done with dignity and always with a smile. She has been bowling and ice skating for the first time in her life and she loves the lovely garden and all the wildlife she has seen in it. Would recommend this home for its all round care and activities the staff arrange all year round.

Ashview Nursing Home is a lovely, friendly place with very caring, dedicated staff who are doing a great job of looking after our loved ones. All they do is much appreciated. My only reason for putting 'Good' on Facilities was due to no ensuite toilet facilities which is purely due to the age of the home. But overall excellent.

I can’t put into words how caring Ashview is. All the staff are kind and thoughtful to the residents.
My mum has been in there for over a year now and I have complete peace of mind that she is being well looked after.
Ashview is like one big happy family and that is testament to the manager.
They have been incredible through a very tough period of time COVID. I have spoken to mum on FaceTime which has been very comforting.

I would thoroughly recommend Ashview!

From the day of his arrival at Ashview Nursing Home he has been so well received and welcomed into a very caring community. It is like a very large family. His room is spacious, light and clean with a beautiful view of the woodland garden. There is a good ratio of staff to residents and nothing is ever too much trouble. The meals are truly excellent and we have lunched there a couple of times. The extra activities and outings make life more fun. Overall we are delighted.

My mother was a resident at the home from October 2017 until her death on 7th January 2020.
From the first day that I went to look around the home (I had looked at many others) it felt like home to me.
Over the 3.3 years that my mother was at Ashview - I felt that my family and grown sevenfold. Not only the staff but the other residents and their families all became mine.
Mums room was decorated to her wishes - she was allowed to bring anything from her other home to make it feel like home from home.
I would recommend Ashview to anyone looking for a place for their relative that needed the extra care that is given at Ashview.
I will still be going to the home to say hello to everyone and to support any activities that they have.

Well done Ashview.

Ashview care home is a home away from home, for the residents. My grandmother spent her last years of life here and I can not fault the home or the staff. Each and every member go above and beyond to ensure residents are extremely well looked after, they are all so warm and welcoming to families and nothing is ever too much. The food is exceptional, I was able to enjoy many meals with my grandmother which, I am so grateful for. The home has the most fabulous atmosphere and a real homely feel, you're able to help yourself to tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Your able to bring family dogs in which was so lovely for my grandmother, as she always had dogs around.
The garden is beautiful and I have lovely memories of pushing my grandmother around in the wheelchair, friendly grounds looking at the lovely apple trees and various plants.

I would like to thank the manager and her fabulous team, for taking such good care of my grandmother and always being so supportive towards me.

Last year my wife was placed in Ashview Nursing Home. Never have I been inside a care home so what was going to happen to my wife. We have never been apart for over 30 years like this and she gets very frightened and worries. I did some checks on this care home. What I found is they have received many awards for their work. My wife has settled in nicely and this is due to the care and attention the residents receive. I shed a few tears over the weeks. She is a warm and caring wife and masses of love. My last wish is to thank everyone. I hope many awards come to you.
