The meals are of a high standard and Dad's room has a nice view and is very pleasant.

All Dad's needs are professionally taken care of and I am very happy with Ashview.

My mother has been cared for at Ashview Nursing Home for over a year. The care she has received and the concern with which she has been given it by all members of staff has been nothing short of wonderful. I would highly recommend Ashview Nursing Home to anyone in the same position as my family.

When my mother came into the care home was only expected to live for 48-72 hours but due to the hard work and attention, we have seen my mother receive over the last 2 months, she is now a completely different person.

My mum spent her final 4 weeks at Ashview in November/December 2018 at the end of her battle with cancer. During this time she was afforded the most fantastic care from the nurses and carers at Ashview. They were extremely professional, caring, friendly and most of all got to know her and spent time to really understand how she was feeling in her final days and to support her and her family. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone with any nursing home requirements. Special thanks to those who went over and above what was expected.

We cared for dad at home as best we could, but with the best will in the world, we couldn't be there 24/7. He initially moved into Ashview for a couple of months respite, to give everyone a much-needed break. He quickly realised how much help he needed, especially with personal hygiene and decided to stay.
Dad was at Ashview for just over a year. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with dementia and his health deteriorated quickly. Ashview and the GP constantly reviewed his care package to accommodate this and the family was always consulted.
Sadly, dad died in September 2018 but the support to the family continued.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ashview to another family facing the dilemma of care home-v-care at home. Our thanks to all.

A homely nursing home with very dedicated and caring staff. My mother was transferred to Ashview from the hospital for palliative nursing care. She was very well looked after, all the staff knew her by name and would stop and chat. They helped her with all aspects of her daily life and made the last few weeks of her life very comfortable. The home is in a beautiful setting with a lovely big garden which is accessible by all residents. They even have a resident cat who everyone loves!

I would definitely recommend this nursing home and would like to thank everyone who cared for my mother.

With the care my mother-in-law has received over the last year, she has improved beyond all recognition getting her appetite back being encouraged to get up and join the other resident. Has been fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is always nice and the staff are on hand to help those who have problems with eating.

The care my father has received at Ashview has been second to none. He has multiple complex disabilities which I will not go into, but, suffice to say, Ashview manage these requirements with the utmost professionalism. Even before he arrived they decorated his room and made it look brilliant. They really look after the building, the rooms and make the place look super. The care he receives from all of the staff has been phenomenal. The activities provided are brilliant. The food is excellent and the staff ensure that my father is engaged all day long. Ashview is an outstanding home with outstanding staff and leadership.

My mother has been in the care of Ashview for the last four and a half years and very pleased to state that over this time period she has been very well cared for.

The staff have been wonderful, supportive, caring and welcoming during my visits and for the duration of my mothers time at the home.

When I was first told I would have to spend some time in a nursing home I was terrified after some of the reports on the television.
I needn't have worried if I was told I would have to spend the rest of my time in a nursing home, I would hope it would be in Ashview.

I can't praise Ashview enough. The carers have a sense of humour and are very caring. The food is excellent as good as any hotel.

My review is based on observations made during my weekly visits which were always during the afternoon.

In general, the home has a pleasant, relaxed domestic atmosphere with good access to a garden. I would recommend it.

I usually sat in the lounge and saw enough staff and equipment to deal with residents' needs. The staff were also friendly and helpful to a visitor.

Mum was transferred from hospital approximately four months ago. She was extremely unwell, extremely nervous and anxious. Within a few days she considered this her home.
The staff are amazing, the food is Michelin style!

Mum shows no signs at all of being uncomfortable. The other residents are friendly and extremely respectful to each other. I cannot praise it enough.

My stepfather has only been at the nursing home for two months. I've found them to be extremely accommodating.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It makes for a lovely atmosphere when you go to visit.
It's very clean and bright in the lounge and looking out onto the garden makes it feel very homely.

He always looks nice and clean and has put on weight since being there.
