This was Mum's first time in respite care and she was very apprehensive, as were all the family. However she was made welcome and treated with dignity and respect. All the staff were caring and cheerful. The facilities and rooms/gardens were beautiful. Mum was very well cared for and enjoyed her 'holiday'. Thank you all.

I was present when a patient pood herself the stench was awful. We left came back an hour later and it still stank. My mother in laws hearing aid repeated has not had her hearing aid put in. 3rd not worn or put on for her. The table I am sitting at is filthy. The coffee seen in reception is dirty crumbs everywhere. Generally it does not smell pleasant when you walk in the building.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care my husband receives. From the moment he arrived, he has been treated with kindness, dignity, compassion and genuine respect by every member of staff.
The standard of care is outstanding. The team provides truly person-centred, holistic care, taking the time to understand his individual needs and ensuring his physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing are all supported. Their professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail have given our family complete confidence that he is receiving the highest standard of care.
The staff are always approachable, caring, and supportive, and communication with our family has been excellent. It is reassuring to know that my husband is in such safe and capable hands.

I cannot thank the entire team enough for their unwavering commitment and compassion. Their kindness and professionalism have made a significant difference to both my husband and our family. Thank you

Our Mum was living in the assisted-living complex at Broadoak where she had been since 2021. In the summer of 2025 her needs exceeded what could be provided in her home and so she became resident of the care home.
The transition was exceptionally smooth and professional. The care at Broadoak is absolutely fantastic. Regular team members who really care about all of the residents. The food is fantastic as all the activities. Our Mum has completely flourished in the environment.
The medical care is excellent and there is an association with a local GP practice which ensures that the same GP comes out each week.

We wouldn't trust anyone else with the care of our Mum.

We are really happy with the care at Broad oak. Plenty of activities and it's the whole team that have created a safe space for my father in law to be. The care, the food all excellent. Special mention to Peter the driver who always takes time to get to know residents. It's a difficult decision looking for the right care home for loved ones and I think we have found the perfect place n Broadoak

Great staff
Excellent activities - regular shopping trips plus interesting visits - super organisation with fab driver and accompanying staff.
Excellent place to be - apart from the food. The food is of very variable quality and this needs to be addressed. If food was better would be 5*
Majority of staff always cheerful and very caring
