My Mother was a resident at Brunswick Court from February 2017 until April 2018. Her care during this period was exemplary! The staff from management to the lovely lady who kept the home clean were respectful, caring and loving in some cases. We were always greeted with a smile, a hug when needed, no matter what time of day we visited. Mum was happy at Brunswick and looked on her key workers and nurses as her family. If I were ever incapacitated I would willingly be at home there. If you are looking for a Care/Nursing home for your loved one look at Brunswick!

The staff are both caring and competent and they always phone to inform me of consultations with the GP, changes to medication etc. My mother is very frail and unable to feed herself; staff have shown patience and understanding. They notice problems and take action to resolve without prompting.

Overall Experience
Since my mother-in-law came to this home we have noticed a marked improvement mentally and in her physical appearance. The carers are pleasant and caring and seem to make a real effort. Occasionally things crop up but they have all been dealt with in a satisfactory manner.

The entertainment laid on is stimulating most of the time which is so important. In the event of any illness, we are kept informed and the staff are generally very helpful.

My father was taken into emergency respite until I had all the equipment at home. The level of care my dad received was excellent all of the staff were friendly and genuinely caring. My dad had three pressure sores which are now healing, they gave him the build-up milkshake which has done wonders and he has gained weight. He has come home in fantastic shape and that is due to the fabulous work of all the carers on the Queen Elizabeth Unit. I cannot thank them enough.

Overall Experience

When I arrived in the middle of March 2017, I was unable to get out of bed without any assistance. I was unable to walk, wash myself and I could hardly eat. However gradually, with the help and support of the staff, each week I gradually improved.

Now, I am able to do the following: get out bed, wash and dress myself, walk unaided up to 250 metres, eat normally, conduct a near normal life.

I thoroughly recommend this care home.

I came here straight from hospital I was met at the door and made welcome by a staff member, given lunch and any help I needed. This is my home now and I look on the staff as my family and I get on well with all of them.

My husband has been in the care home for nearly on year. He is treated with respect and the staff are friendly and caring. He is unable to eat after 3 strokes and is fed by "peg". Unfortunately, he, on many occasions, spills his food over the carpets in his room and the home cleans his room so beautifully. I am so happy that we are able for him to obtain a place in this care home.

Review from Maria-Isabel N (Mother of Resident) published on 28 June 2017 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Previously cared for at home live in carers, my daughter was badly neglected before coming to Brunswick Court. Just before whilst at home too neglected even her practitioner refused to visit her, ambulance while I was at her home, that night at hospital Dr phoned me from resuscitation ward to ask my permission to do or not resuscitate should my daughter have a heart attack. On arrival to hospital she was found to have a collapsed lung, had pneumonia and the collapsed lung was fully white. Since coming to Brunswick Court she has been in heaven, my daughter has the best care here.
