Chorleywood Beaumont Nursing Home prides itself on offering high-quality care to all of its residents and this is reflected in the good reputation it has with the Local Authority, Clinical Commissioning Group, and the Care Quality Commission.

Chorleywood Beaumont Nursing Home has a stable core team of staff – many of which have worked there for over 10 years. The committed team work hard to ensure that all provision is tailored to the individual, while allowing them to make the most of a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

In December 2021 the home underwent a major refurbishment which has given it a ‘wow’ impact.

The aim is to meet all residents’ needs over the long-term, living up to a reputation for quality that Barchester homes have earned.

They provide music therapy, physiotherapy, keep fit, aromatherapy and massage and also have a beauty and hair salon on site.

Mealtimes are very social occasions with residents enjoying complimentary drinks every day from the bar.

My mother is a resident of Barchester Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community. She has settled in very well, due to the caring and attentive nature of all the staff. They are helpful at all times and have made her feel at home. My mother's room and all the common areas are bright, smart and well-maintained
which helps to lift the spirits. A variety of interesting activities are held regularly, providing entertainment and stimulus for all the residents. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anyone considering residential care for themselves or their relatives.

The respite care received by my mother over six weeks was perfect. After a fall and several complications to her back, my mother retained fitness, strength and health. This was due to the care of the nurses, the attentiveness of the staff and the good food. It was above all not just a care home but
a caring home.

We needed urgent respite care for my father whilst we organised to care for him at home. The Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community stepped up to help us rebuild his strength-there were infection issues which needed addressing and were health with expertly. I have been a resident at Chorleywood for over five years, and during this period, have had every satisfaction. The staff are very friendly and approachable at all times. The housekeeping team keep the home in perfect condition whilst the nursing team are very efficient.
My late wife was a resident
and under intense nursing care for two and a half years, and during this period, received all the attention required to ensure a comfortable and peaceful stay.
I would recommend this home to other families requiring a comfortable, peaceful and happy environment.

My father was in this home for palliative care for 7-weeks before sadly passing away. From the moment we went to look around the home, we found it a warm, welcoming and caring community. He needed nursing care, and this was very good, both in terms of his medications and the extra care he needed. We
could be confident that he was in good hands. The carers looked after all his needs and ensured he was comfortable, regularly checked and always helped with a smile. He said they were all very friendly and helpful as they were to us. The catering and cleaning were also excellent. He couldn't participate in the activities but liked to listen to the music and sing in his room, and we were impressed by the range of activities on offer. The whole home is bright, cheerful and very well equipped. Dad was very pleased with his sunny room and was proud to show it to visitors who were all made very welcome. I would thoroughly recommend this home, and we were all made to feel part of a community.

My grandmother loves her new home. She came in for respite care and decided to extend her stay because she felt safe and has made friends. She says the carers are really friendly and sit with her when she misses my mum. She likes eating in the posh restaurant and the lovely lounge.

I visited this home to meet an old friend and catch up with how things were with him. My first impression was just how friendly and attentive the staff were to all the residents. My friend was in good humour and kept telling me how well he was being treated at the home and how he now felt that he was
now part of a big family and he clearly couldn’t be happier. I’d like to thank all the staff for their kindness to my friend and when I left I knew he was in good hands. Thank you, Barchester at Chorleywood.

Here on two weeks respite with my husband. Made to feel welcome from arrival. Every care was taken to ensure all our needs were noted e.g help with dressing, showering. I developed an infection and my needs were seen to and new medication was required. Facilities are good, dining area, lounges are cheerful
and bright. The cafe is open all day to help oneself to beverages, biscuits, cakes and fruit. The garden is pleasant to walk in with seating in various areas. The carers always have a smile and were quick to any assistance. We have found our stay to be all we hoped for and would definitely come again.

My father was a resident in the home for a very short period of time before he passed away. The staff at Beaumont were very attentive and made Dad's last weeks very comfortable. I would certainly recommend Beaumont for their care and attention.

Sadly my Mum passed away whilst living at this care home. I still hold the staff directly involved with my Mum in high regard. This review is regarding the management and their insensitive handling of matters after my Mum passing. Despite being on the end of life I was told I was only allowed 3 half-hour
visits a week. This was despite my Mum clearly not having long left. I argued this with area managers and I was allowed 5 half-hour visits in the end. Once I received the call to inform me of Mum's passing I was asked in the same call to make arrangements to collect Mum's belongings. This was very thoughtless and disrespectful. I still to this day have not received a call or card to offer their sympathy for Mum's passing. I contacted the assistant manager to be told we usually do this after the funeral. How do you know when the funeral is if you don’t ask? - disrespectful and upsetting at a sad time.

Despite the extreme sadness of my Mum's declining health, I have been comforted by the care and compassion shown by all the staff at Chorleywood Beaumont throughout this difficult time. My mother stayed at this home for just under 6 months from November 2019 until she died in May 2020. Overall, I would say she received good care and many of the care staff were very kind and caring, particularly in her last few days. My concern was with the management, admin, and front of house functions.
From the very beginning, I encountered problems. Staff on reception would rarely look up from their screen when I arrived and it often felt as if visitors were an 'interruption'. Quite often the phone would ring unanswered for long periods. In summary, it felt like no one was in charge and I felt unsupported as a family member. Finally, when mum died I was told that the home would arrange for her room to be cleared (because of COVID restrictions). I ended up having to make 3 return visits to collect items which had been left behind, this was very distressing, not to say annoying and inconvenient, and I received no apology.

As my brother only arrived at the end of July and has now been in the hospital for over three weeks, it is a little difficult to provide a review this moment in time. It has been very difficult for him as he hasn't really been able to mix with the other residents due to his condition being unable to
walk, so he has been rather isolated and dependent on a wheelchair, hopefully having the operation to the hip and leg may give him a better quality of life. He seems happy with the care he is getting but sometimes rather frustrated that the food was cold when it gets to his room. I have found everyone extremely helpful and eager to please. Because of COVID, I have only been able to see him twice! But I know it is the same for everyone. I would have very much like to have met the manager and hope that can be arranged later perhaps when he is back with you. I think he is hoping to be back with you shortly. One thing to point out is that an admin assistant in particular is excellent.

Hello, my name is Razvan and I am the General Manager at Chorleywood Beaumont.


I qualified as a nurse in 2014 and joined Barchester shortly after. I have worked in various roles during my time at Barchester including as a senior nurse, a clinical lead, and a clinical deputy manager and promoted to the position of General Manager in September 2024.


I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a great team at Chorleywood Beaumont. I use the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years to support residents and improve their wellbeing, and lifestyle and deliver outstanding care.

I joined Barchester in 2017 and I qualified as a Nurse in 2020 and I was promoted to Unit manager. I have worked in Various roles during 2017 and promoted to position for Acting Clinical Deputy Manager since January 2025.

Hello, my name is Ratandeep and I am the head chef at Chorleywood Beaumont.


I joined Barchester in January 2021 and completed the Barchester chef academy between September 2022 to September 2023. I was delighted to join the Chorleywood Beaumont team in August 2024 as Head Chef.


I love being a Chef and my interest in cooking came from helping my family when I was growing up. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know residents. It makes me very happy to see the delight and enjoyment my food brings to people.
