Osbourne Court is a purpose built modern care home designed over two floors. Situated right in the heart of the idyllic country market town of Baldock in Hertfordshire and close to the town centre and all major amenities, it is easy to access.

Osbourne Court offers offers fully inclusive, 24/7 person centred care. Long term residential care, short term respite stays, and specialist dementia care are all available options at the home.

The home provides en-suite bedrooms which are all capable of customisation, and are fully accessible.

Osbourne Court has a variety of resident and visitor lounges, and provides fully inclusive dining in a choice of dining areas.

All care staff are experienced care professionals, including the Engagement Leads who ensure that the residents' independence is maintained, providing a varied activities schedule incorporating all individual preferences.

Both Mother and Father-in-law have been resident in Osbourne Court. Mother-in-law passed away in January 2018 but was quite well looked after during the year she was here. Father-in-law has been here for over 2 years and, although his mental and physical condition has deteriorated, we feel the majority
of staff do their best for him.

The care home is staffed by very competent personnel and has a nice homely atmosphere. Food is excellent. Doctors are readily available from a clinic nearby and prescribed medication is properly dispensed by the staff.
Regular entertainment are laid on and a pet dog etc do regular visits.

My mother went into this care home approximately 2 years ago and was originally given 3 months to live.
She was fortunate to exceed this and really felt at home in her little room.
She got to know the staff well and I did too.
They did all they could to make her stay the best there could be.
As
a nurse myself for over 35 years I would say they did an excellent job and I know what pressures they come up against.
I am so glad she ended her days surrounded by truly caring staff.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2021

I have worked in the care sector for over 10 years, working in different settings of supportive living, domiciliary care and nursing homes. I have a passion for person-centred care and positive risk-taking, enabling individuals to live life. I have my NVQ Level 5 and I am a Dementia Champion. I was the Care Plan and Safeguarding champion in my previous workplace, and in 2023 I was promoted to Home Manager here at Osbourne Court I have a special interest in dementia and how music can enhance memory and improve cognition.
