My father is treated with care and dignity. There are so many activities he can get involved with, but equally, if he wants to go back to his room and watch TV, that is encouraged as well. I am very happy that my father lives at Signature at Chorleywood and would not hesitate to recommend the home.

My mother needed to have a few weeks of respite in the summer of 2022. Finding the right home for her was one of the most difficult but necessary decisions I've ever had to make. First impressions really matter, and the feelings of being welcomed and being heard were very clear from the outset; this
is how my mother was embraced and made to feel at home. The building has the warmth and style of a boutique hotel - spacious, spotless and beautifully kept gardens. But it's the staff - all the staff - who make the difference - their collective kindness, professionalism and care continues to be a comfort to my mother and to us as a family. The flexibility of the kitchen to cater to different tastes is impressive, the range of activities on offer every day and every evening help to keep mind and body active. To know that this level of care and attention is being offered to my mother and my children's grandmother around the clock is an immense comfort and we're all so appreciative.

After visiting a number of other care homes I was thinking it would be a mistake to put Mum into care until I visited Signature at Chorleywood. From the moment we walked in it had a fantastic atmosphere, residents looked happy and were busy doing things. Staff were so friendly and welcoming.
Since
Mum has become a resident she has started laughing again, she has so many activities to keep her occupied and has made some good friends. The staff are lovely and very caring. We couldn't be happier and more importantly, Mum couldn't be happier.

Dad has now spent a year living in the secure dementia community. The professionalism, care, empathy, and warmth (and humour) that the entire superbly-led reminiscence team provide to Dad and to us is exceptional. Each visit, staff seek me out to tell me something about Dad that recognises his humanity
even while in the grip of dementia. As Dad's condition progresses, they hold my hand through every new development and patiently explain the implications. What needs to be considered to keep Dad safe/well is mind-boggling, yet I only ever see calm, respectful and dignified care - from housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, catering, reception staff or the caring and wellbeing teams. When there is an emergency, and we have to follow an ambulance to the hospital, we have excellent liaison and support right up to the point when Dad returns. And I mustn't forget the sympathetic and helpful family liaison we had as we explored Dad moving in. Every single member of staff is greatly appreciated by us. Thank you!

I honestly cannot praise Signature Chorleywood enough. Where to start? From my initial contact with the client liaison manager, nothing was too much trouble. I was searching for a care home for a good friend and neighbour, initially on a respite basis, which became permanent, and the client liaison
manager was super helpful in all aspects. All the staff are so friendly; they know everyone by name, including the visitors. The facilities are extremely clean, and the activities available are fun and engaging. The food is restaurant quality; the bistro is a nice opportunity to sit with your loved one, chat and have tea and biscuits. The grounds are a delight to walk round, and the handyman will gladly put up pictures in your room. I'm very happy, but most importantly, my friend genuinely loves it. Transitioning from your own home to somewhere else later in life can be daunting; Signature makes that transition a pleasure. I cannot praise them enough. Visit, you won't be disappointed.

My nan was previously in a different care home and was relocated to Signature at Chorleywood, thanks to one lady. The change in her nature is second to none and can only be a result of the high standard of care she receives at this home. She is able to socialise with other residents and has a much better
quality of life, with personal care being one of the best standards I have seen. She is checked on regularly, receives the care that she needs when she needs it, and now our family can sleep peacefully knowing Nan is being taken extremely good care of. The communal area has a homely feel, with hot drinks and snacks available for everyone at all times; it feels like a hotel. Thank you, Signature - I hope many more families who need it can experience the care my nan has been fortunate enough to receive from you.

My sister was initially reluctant to move into a care home following hospitalisation, having suffered from depression and other issues. However, after a few months of care at Chorleywood, her health is improving and is gradually settling into her new lifestyle, taking part in the many activities available
to residents, for which I have to thank the staff for their patience and care.

After six weeks in hospital, my mother was underweight, bedridden and assessed as end of life. The staff have been amazing! In a short time, she is now sitting up, enjoying her food in the dining room and able to watch and participate in entertainment. I am so pleased!

My father has been a resident since he had a fall and could no longer stay alone in his flat. He was fully welcomed into the home, and his care is excellent. He has different needs, and these are all managed by the caring team. Alongside this, before he moved in, the staff helped me enormously, as the
hospital was pressurising me for solutions, and I didn’t know which way to turn. One lady at Signature looked after me, as having to move a parent into care is an enormous decision.

My mum moved into the reminiscence floor (dementia care) in October 2021 to Signature at Chorleywood, so has been in for a few months now. When she went in, my mum had become very withdrawn (due to her condition as well as having had very limited social interactions due to Covid restrictions closing).
On the day she moved in, a number of the staff greeted my mum by name, which made her feel very special. Unfortunately, the home went into lockdown the next day, and it was a couple of weeks before we were able to start visiting, by which time my mum had truly settled and was happy being there. She has gotten involved in activities I would not have expected her to, and she particularly loves the musical shows and activities they regularly hold. She has bonded well with the staff and carers, who are all very friendly and caring. I personally found the facilities very bright and had a good feeling when I first toured the home and feel like my mum has perked up since moving in.

Mum moved into Signature in mid Summer 2021. She has been widowed for 40-years and is used to coping on her own and living an active, social life into her late 80's, but with some cognitive impairment starting, she made the move. The transition has been much smoother than we might have expected due,
I'm sure to the devoted, committed and caring staff. In particular, they have made a huge effort into enabling her to contribute in the artistic ways that she can. (I understand that her contribution has helped enrich the experience of the other residents, which is pleasing). The staff had indeed shown ingenuity, creativity and patience, and I'm sure it really helped her and gave her some lovely new memories.
The home is modern, grand, spacious, spotless, and luxurious in feel, but it's the staff that are the standout feature. We are very pleased.

Mum has been so happy since she moved into the community at Signature at Chorleywood. She has dementia and so is being cared for on the Reminiscence floor. All her needs are met, and her dignity has been preserved. The staff are all so kind and display great empathy.
She especially loves joining in
with the many activities that are organised by the team - from singing and dancing to the poetry reading. The home is kept spotlessly clean and is a very comfortable environment.
Mum loves sitting outside on the terrace when the weather permits.

My mother-in-law moved into Signature at Chorleywood last August. Since going there, she has been more settled and happy than I can ever remember her being. The building has far more the atmosphere of an upmarket hotel than a care home. The food smells delicious whenever I have been there around mealtimes.
The
actual care is superb, and all the staff members I've seen are conscientious and kind. There is good communication between the home and the family, so we are kept fully informed of any issues.
There is genuinely a plethora of activities for all the residents, and the home tries very hard to involve all residents. There are regular quiz nights, cookery, art, drama projects as well as Sunday services in the home. In addition, there are a number of trips out. As a result, my mother-in-law has formed some good friendships with other residents.
It was a daunting task trying to find the right home for her, though I believe that we succeeded in finding a true gem. Thank you, Signature!

Mum moved into Signature at Chorleywood in August. Mum was widowed in May, and her dementia was getting worse, and she was struggling to live on her own. The staff at Signature helped make the transition to assisted living as painless as possible for Mum; she was encouraged to take in her own furniture
and processions to make her room feel familiar and personal.
The home is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and approachable; Mum is very well catered for, there are daily activities, entertainment and regular trips out (when permitted). As family members, we know Mum is in the best place for her, and we are extremely happy with everything about Signature.

My very elderly mother has been at Sunrise since the beginning of April 2021. It was a scary time to enter a care home, but the entire team at Sunrise of Chorleywood have been absolutely amazing. They are warm, friendly, professional, proactive, and incredibly kind. The very rigorous Covid19 prevention
protocols in place for all staff and visitors have kept everyone safe and secure, yet right from the word go, I've been able to visit Mum - firstly in her room and now in the resident's lounge and coffee shop as protocols have gradually lifted (visitors and staff still have to wear masks - and all visitors have to show a registered negative later flow test before entry). I don't live locally, and so I appreciate so much the fantastic communication - the care team keep me updated on everything, and we have regular reviews. My mother has complicated needs, but all of them are being met. She is a very social person and has made great relationships with staff and with other residents.

Moving an elderly parent into assisted living is a daunting decision that can throw up many questions and uncomfortable emotions. I can honestly say that the experienced staff at Sunrise Living have made this difficult time so very much easier.
From the friendly initial look around, through choosing
rooms to complete paperwork, Mum and I have felt supported and cared for at every step. I have not met one single team member who hasn't been interested and inclusive with Mum, and she feels genuinely well cared for in every sense. I believe that her quality of life has improved hugely, and the routine of meal-times and varied activities enhance her daily experience.
She loves her new "apartment, the food and the comings and goings, in a way that has completely surprised us both. I have full confidence in all health and medical-related matters, and the meticulous Covid safety practices just add to my peace of mind. Thank you, Sunrise!

Sunrise Chorleywood is a magnificent care home with truly committed and remarkable staff. My parents moved in 6 months ago, given the need to find a good community and good care, even though they are still mobile and self-aware, but with early-stage dementia. They have a lovely apartment, they get
excellent care and attention, and the sense of community is outstanding. The staff is easily contactable and very responsive to us. The staff has managed the pandemic issue with an outstanding balance of 100% protection, but maximum respect to all of us. I am very happy, and could not commend Sunrise more highly.

My brother and I have been impressed by the care and assistance given to my dad from the initial assessment through to admission, which took place very close to Christmas and included all the Covid control measures. The ongoing care has been of very high quality, all staff that we have had contact with
have been both caring and professional. The Sunrise of Chorleywood facilities is of an extremely high standard. Their visiting policy has reacted promptly to any government guidance, and I witness their very robust infection control procedures when visiting my dad. From my experience so far, I would have no hesitation in giving high recommendations.

I joined the healthcare industry as I am extremely passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care to our residents and the highest standards of care. I joined in 2010 as a reminiscence coordinator, worked my way up to be the Assisted Living Coordinator and now I am a Deputy Manager here, supporting and leading the fantastic team of staff, working alongside residents and relatives. It is rewarding to see our principles of service being put into action daily, Enabling Freedom of choice and involving friends and family, celebrating Individuality, Nurturing the spirit, Encouraging Independence and Preserving Dignity.

I started my role here at Signature at Chorleywood in November 2019 and it has been the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love seeing the difference we can make in people’s lives, just so rewarding.


I am here to provide support to families and residents throughout the process from the initial enquiry through to moving into our community. My favourite part of my role is talking to the residents and their families, plus seeing all the residents enjoying the entertainment and the activities – when they smile, I smile.

My journey in health care started in Domiciliary Care where I worked for a few years before I transitioned to Residential Care. I started my role at Signature at Chorleywood in 2009 as a Senior Care Assistant in the Reminiscence neighbourhood. As Dementia Care Manager my passion is to ensure my team and I strive to provide the highest quality of dementia care to our residents, giving our residents and their families memories to treasure as we go through this journey together. I want our relatives to have peace of mind as they are reassured that their loved ones are in safe hands. It is rewarding when I see the difference we are making in both the resident and their families' lives. Above all, I believe that we are on this journey together.

Job Title: Assisted Living Co-ordinator

My journey started in October 2008 when I walked through the doors for an interview as an Senior Care Assistant, I was met by the smiling welcoming face of one of our Concierge, the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming I thought yes I can see myself being happy here, that was 12 years ago. I am now the Assisted Living Coordinator and work with a great team of Carers who are equally as passionate about the care they provide for our residents. My passion has always been to provide quality care for our residents. Creating a relationship of trust and being available to talk through any concerns or worries with both our residents and their loved ones is a priority for me.

I have an extensive background in premium pubs and restaurants which has transposed well in my recent move to Signature, ensuring we bring a premium yet relaxed feel to the service and food at Chorleywood. I have established a rapid love of the care sector, I enjoy bonding with all our residents and making sure they are looked after in every way. The team here at Chorleywood are amazing, we truly care for our residents and colleagues. It really is a lovely place to be!

Since 2010 I have been a Housekeeping Manager at big-brand hotels. I am very proud to say that I joined Signature in 2020 and nowhere I have worked is as good as Signature, the best decision I ever made. I have a great and dedicated team which I am very proud of and we are working very hard to offer the highest standards of cleanliness to keep the community clean, and tidy and everyone safe from infections. To wake up every morning with a smile on your face because you know you are going not to work but to your second home where our residents become our family.
