My sister was initially reluctant to move into a care home following hospitalisation, having suffered from depression and other issues. However, after a few months of care at Chorleywood, her health is improving and is gradually settling into her new lifestyle, taking part in the many activities available to residents, for which I have to thank the staff for their patience and care.

After six weeks in hospital, my mother was underweight, bedridden and assessed as end of life. The staff have been amazing! In a short time, she is now sitting up, enjoying her food in the dining room and able to watch and participate in entertainment. I am so pleased!

My father has been a resident since he had a fall and could no longer stay alone in his flat. He was fully welcomed into the home, and his care is excellent. He has different needs, and these are all managed by the caring team. Alongside this, before he moved in, the staff helped me enormously, as the hospital was pressurising me for solutions, and I didn’t know which way to turn. One lady at Signature looked after me, as having to move a parent into care is an enormous decision.

Mum moved into Signature in mid Summer 2021. She has been widowed for 40-years and is used to coping on her own and living an active, social life into her late 80's, but with some cognitive impairment starting, she made the move. The transition has been much smoother than we might have expected due, I'm sure to the devoted, committed and caring staff. In particular, they have made a huge effort into enabling her to contribute in the artistic ways that she can. (I understand that her contribution has helped enrich the experience of the other residents, which is pleasing). The staff had indeed shown ingenuity, creativity and patience, and I'm sure it really helped her and gave her some lovely new memories.

The home is modern, grand, spacious, spotless, and luxurious in feel, but it's the staff that are the standout feature. We are very pleased.

My mum moved into the reminiscence floor (dementia care) in October 2021 to Signature at Chorleywood, so has been in for a few months now. When she went in, my mum had become very withdrawn (due to her condition as well as having had very limited social interactions due to Covid restrictions closing). On the day she moved in, a number of the staff greeted my mum by name, which made her feel very special. Unfortunately, the home went into lockdown the next day, and it was a couple of weeks before we were able to start visiting, by which time my mum had truly settled and was happy being there. She has gotten involved in activities I would not have expected her to, and she particularly loves the musical shows and activities they regularly hold. She has bonded well with the staff and carers, who are all very friendly and caring. I personally found the facilities very bright and had a good feeling when I first toured the home and feel like my mum has perked up since moving in.

Mum has been so happy since she moved into the community at Signature at Chorleywood. She has dementia and so is being cared for on the Reminiscence floor. All her needs are met, and her dignity has been preserved. The staff are all so kind and display great empathy.
She especially loves joining in with the many activities that are organised by the team - from singing and dancing to the poetry reading. The home is kept spotlessly clean and is a very comfortable environment.

Mum loves sitting outside on the terrace when the weather permits.

My mother-in-law moved into Signature at Chorleywood last August. Since going there, she has been more settled and happy than I can ever remember her being. The building has far more the atmosphere of an upmarket hotel than a care home. The food smells delicious whenever I have been there around mealtimes.
The actual care is superb, and all the staff members I've seen are conscientious and kind. There is good communication between the home and the family, so we are kept fully informed of any issues.
There is genuinely a plethora of activities for all the residents, and the home tries very hard to involve all residents. There are regular quiz nights, cookery, art, drama projects as well as Sunday services in the home. In addition, there are a number of trips out. As a result, my mother-in-law has formed some good friendships with other residents.

It was a daunting task trying to find the right home for her, though I believe that we succeeded in finding a true gem. Thank you, Signature!

Mum moved into Signature at Chorleywood in August. Mum was widowed in May, and her dementia was getting worse, and she was struggling to live on her own. The staff at Signature helped make the transition to assisted living as painless as possible for Mum; she was encouraged to take in her own furniture and processions to make her room feel familiar and personal.

The home is very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and approachable; Mum is very well catered for, there are daily activities, entertainment and regular trips out (when permitted). As family members, we know Mum is in the best place for her, and we are extremely happy with everything about Signature.

My very elderly mother has been at Sunrise since the beginning of April 2021. It was a scary time to enter a care home, but the entire team at Sunrise of Chorleywood have been absolutely amazing. They are warm, friendly, professional, proactive, and incredibly kind. The very rigorous Covid19 prevention protocols in place for all staff and visitors have kept everyone safe and secure, yet right from the word go, I've been able to visit Mum - firstly in her room and now in the resident's lounge and coffee shop as protocols have gradually lifted (visitors and staff still have to wear masks - and all visitors have to show a registered negative later flow test before entry). I don't live locally, and so I appreciate so much the fantastic communication - the care team keep me updated on everything, and we have regular reviews. My mother has complicated needs, but all of them are being met. She is a very social person and has made great relationships with staff and with other residents.

Moving an elderly parent into assisted living is a daunting decision that can throw up many questions and uncomfortable emotions. I can honestly say that the experienced staff at Sunrise Living have made this difficult time so very much easier.
From the friendly initial look around, through choosing rooms to complete paperwork, Mum and I have felt supported and cared for at every step. I have not met one single team member who hasn't been interested and inclusive with Mum, and she feels genuinely well cared for in every sense. I believe that her quality of life has improved hugely, and the routine of meal-times and varied activities enhance her daily experience.

She loves her new "apartment, the food and the comings and goings, in a way that has completely surprised us both. I have full confidence in all health and medical-related matters, and the meticulous Covid safety practices just add to my peace of mind. Thank you, Sunrise!

Sunrise Chorleywood is a magnificent care home with truly committed and remarkable staff. My parents moved in 6 months ago, given the need to find a good community and good care, even though they are still mobile and self-aware, but with early-stage dementia. They have a lovely apartment, they get excellent care and attention, and the sense of community is outstanding. The staff is easily contactable and very responsive to us. The staff has managed the pandemic issue with an outstanding balance of 100% protection, but maximum respect to all of us. I am very happy, and could not commend Sunrise more highly.

My brother and I have been impressed by the care and assistance given to my dad from the initial assessment through to admission, which took place very close to Christmas and included all the Covid control measures. The ongoing care has been of very high quality, all staff that we have had contact with have been both caring and professional. The Sunrise of Chorleywood facilities is of an extremely high standard. Their visiting policy has reacted promptly to any government guidance, and I witness their very robust infection control procedures when visiting my dad. From my experience so far, I would have no hesitation in giving high recommendations.

My wife and I have been extremely impressed by the care and assistance given to ourselves and my wife's aunt, from the initial assessment through to admission and ongoing care. All staff that we have had interaction with have been caring, kind and professional. The facilities are of an extremely high standard, especially when compared to other care homes that we considered. They reacted quickly to the most recent lockdown and seem to have very robust infection control procedures in place. From our experience so far, we would have no hesitation in highly recommending Sunrise of Chorleywood.

As one year approaches since visits to see our parents at Sunrise came to an end, I am reminded of the three years of exceptional care that they received there. We sensed a joyful sharing of their lives, both past and present and strong relationships with the staff. It was a joy to be there and witness both the kindness shown to our parents, as well as the understanding of their individual care needs. Not only were they part of a loving family, but so were we. At all times, and not least in their last few days, they and we were supported with expertise and compassion and throughout their time as residents, my siblings and I were kept informed and were consulted with regularly.

Thank you, Sunrise, for your outstanding daily care and compassion.

We have found that the staff have been excellent in helping my father in moving into Sunrise of Chorleywood. They are attentive to his needs and to have regular updates on how he has been during these times with regards to Covid 19; very helpful and reassuring to us as a family. I would highly recommend this as a residential home, especially for dementia care which is second to none. The home is beautiful and is run to a very high standard.
