My father-in-law is often telling me how happy he is here and that he would not like to be anywhere else. The staff not always very welcoming and lovely to the residents.

I started my role here at Chorleywood Manor in November 2019, and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I absolutely love seeing the difference we can make in people’s lives, just so rewarding.
I am here to provide support to families and residents throughout the process, from the initial enquiry through to moving into our community. My favourite part of my role is talking to the residents and their families, plus seeing all the residents enjoying the entertainment and the activities – when they smile, I smile.

My journey in health care started in Domiciliary Care, where I worked for a few years before I transitioned to Residential Care. I started my role at Chorleywood Manor in 2009 as a Senior Care Assistant in the Reminiscence neighbourhood. As Dementia Care Manager, my passion is to ensure that my team and I strive to provide the highest quality of dementia care to our residents, giving our residents and their families memories to treasure as we go through this journey together. I want our relatives to have peace of mind as they are reassured that their loved ones are in safe hands. It is rewarding when I see the difference we are making in both the resident and their families' lives. Above all, I believe that we are on this journey together.

My journey started in October 2008 when I walked through the doors for an interview as an Senior Care Assistant, I was met by the smiling welcoming face of one of our Concierge, the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming I thought yes I can see myself being happy here, that was 12 years ago. I am now the Assisted Living Coordinator and work with a great team of Carers who are equally as passionate about the care they provide for our residents. My passion has always been to provide quality care for our residents. Creating a relationship of trust and being available to talk through any concerns or worries with both our residents and their loved ones is a priority for me.

I joined the team here in August 2008. In my role as Business Office Coordinator, I am here to help both staff and residents. The team share the common goal of ensuring our residents and team member's time with us is as good as it can be.
