From day one the staff and management were kind and considerate. They were very sympathetic at a traumatic time. I was always treated with respect. My family would also want to thank you for your treatment of their mother.

My husband has been a resident at Montrose for over 4 years, and I feel that I could not have found a better care home for him. He is treated with kindness and respect by the care staff and is always clean and happy. I visit daily and regard the staff as my 'extended family', they are always welcoming. Any concerns I have are always listened to and resolved by the management team. Montrose gives me peace of mind.

My mother is a resident at Montrose, she is very happy there and calls it her home. The staff are very caring and they treat her with dignity. I visit regularly and always find the staff very helpful and ready to accommodate. The care is excellent and I have regularly recommended Montrose, I am a carer myself and would be happy to be a resident.

I stayed in Montrose care home for one-week respite care following a full hip replacement. I was made very welcome and the care provided was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They reacted quickly to my requests and always had a smile.

Mother has been in Montrose for 3 1/2 years now and her care has always been excellent. Staff are helpful and cheerful and the standard of cleanliness very high. Any minor problems have always been dealt with quickly and effectively and Mum seems to be content with her surroundings and in good health.

My wife has now been in care for 18 months, during all that time the care and attention whenever needed has been excellent. I have always been informed of any situation or changes that have been required over this period. The staff have always been very pleasant, willing and understanding. All in all my family and I have always been very satisfied with all aspects of care my wife has received.

My mother-in-law is a resident and is looked after in a pleasant and caring environment. The staff are really nice and attentive, the food is very good and during the summer there is a lovely garden for the residents to sit in.

My Mum has been in Montrose since August 2014. All the staff, carers and management are so kind to Mum. She was so ill a couple of years ago and they couldn't do enough for her. We went round several care homes and have never regretted choosing Montrose. Mum is always treated with respect and she always looks clean and well cared for.

The home is extremely hot. Residents are taken to the basement for mealtime. The home is very noisy which is not good for someone living with dementia.

My Nan stayed at Montrose for a couple of years before unfortunately passing away on 29th December. Even with my Nan's rapid deterioration towards the end the carers always made sure to keep my Nan smiling and offered great support to me during her stay.

The effort they put into activity days such as their Summer Fair is incredible and it was lovely to see all the residents, carers and family members enjoying time together.

I would highly recommend Montrose to anyone!

I have visited this care home on a number of occasions and I'm very impressed. The staff are always on hand and are so very helpful. The home seems so inviting and welcoming. The décor is extremely tasteful and easy. Since my friend and colleague has been at this home, she has improved noticeably. If I had to choose a home - this would be the one.

Mother has been in Montrose for just over one year. At 95 and with early-stage Alzheimer's she was unable to continue on her own. Over the year she has gained confidence and is less shakey.
She loves being at Montrose with all her companions and wonderful carers.
The staff and excellent management treat all residents with respect, professionalism and loving care.
Mother is an independent lady and her wishes are always listened to.

Her room is always well presented, her laundry well maintained and her personal care excellent.

My own Mother was a resident at Montrose a few years ago. Me and my brothers and sister were extremely pleased with the care she received and the facilities. At that stage, Montrose was a new build and still looks new to this day.
We had no hesitation re-locating my mother-in-law there recently as we were confident she would receive excellent care. Nearly all the staff are still there which underlines how well the care home is managed by the Manager and her senior staff.
All the staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble.

Requests and medical attention is dealt with promptly. The cook does a great job too.

When my mother reached a stage in her life where she needed residential care, my first thought was Montrose. My fingers and toes were crossed that they would have a free room. Fortunately by the time my mother was ready to leave hospital in East Sussex a room that we thought perfect for her became available.
Although 93, with several problems health-wise, in the three or so months since she has been there she has certainly improved and is also a lot happier than she was.
I can't praise all the staff enough, everyone we have met is happy, kind caring and efficient, whatever their role and though maybe seen as a small point, all have a good command of English which is very important for the residents who have hearing problems.
Some also speak other languages which is a bonus.

Well done to all, especially the manager and her senior team.

On the whole, very pleased with the home and the staff. Always kept clean, staff are attentive and welcoming. Mum has vascular dementia so I am unable to gauge any feedback from her. The only concern I have had in the last year both happened on Friday night, perhaps when there were less staff or none of the usual staff. It is by far the best home I have ever encountered.

Our experience of Montrose Care Home; its staff, management and facilities have been one of excellence. The attitude of those working there is to provide the best care possible to all residents, regardless of each individual's circumstances.

Whenever we have visited, whatever the time of day, the support for all the residents is visible and consistent. It can be seen that the members of staff have been carefully chosen and our understanding is that some of the staff have been there a long time.

In particular, it is pleasing to see so much effort being made to stimulate and entertain the residents who are encouraged to participate where possible.

We would not hesitate to recommend Montrose Care Home to any individual or family seeking a provider. It has an ethos to provide care at the highest of standards and is continually seeking to improve and update its systems to ensure that it can do so.

Excellent caring service by the staff. Mother is well settled in her room with photos on the walls and some treasured possessions around her. She is more confident than when living on her own and now has a cadre of friends to pass the time with. She is now in a happy place despite the onset of dementia.

Good friends have been residents for some time.
The staff are amazing and give so much of themselves to make a home for residents. A warm welcome each time I visit and refreshments are always offered.

A great Christmas warmth with music and staff interacting with residents to dance.

My friend died at Montrose in October after living there for five and a half years. During his time there the management and staff were consistently excellent in their care, ensuring he was safe and without worries.
Some staff became like a new family to him. In the last days, the attention and indeed affection displayed was truly commendable. One member of staff (on a day off) sat with me at the bedside until he passed away late at night.

Exceptional.
