Montrose Care Home

My mother has been a resident for over two years. She has dementia and has received outstanding care in Montrose from the first day she arrived. Her room is large, airy and always clean and tidy. Personal care is excellent with a hairdresser and chiropodist, all organised for her. Staff are lovely, many long term, and a busy schedule of activities gives residents a lot of fun.

I've been here for 4 years and I am very happy here.

Also to say B&M care homes always keep their homes beautifully decorated with lovely furnishings.

Mum has now been in the care home for 3 years. She seems to be very happy with everything on offer. Food and company etc.

From day one the staff and management were kind and considerate. They were very sympathetic at a traumatic time. I was always treated with respect. My family would also want to thank you for your treatment of their mother.

My husband has been a resident at Montrose for over 4 years, and I feel that I could not have found a better care home for him. He is treated with kindness and respect by the care staff and is always clean and happy. I visit daily and regard the staff as my 'extended family', they are always welcoming. Any concerns I have are always listened to and resolved by the management team. Montrose gives me peace of mind.

My mother is a resident at Montrose, she is very happy there and calls it her home. The staff are very caring and they treat her with dignity. I visit regularly and always find the staff very helpful and ready to accommodate. The care is excellent and I have regularly recommended Montrose, I am a carer myself and would be happy to be a resident.

I stayed in Montrose care home for one-week respite care following a full hip replacement. I was made very welcome and the care provided was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They reacted quickly to my requests and always had a smile.

Mother has been in Montrose for 3 1/2 years now and her care has always been excellent. Staff are helpful and cheerful and the standard of cleanliness very high. Any minor problems have always been dealt with quickly and effectively and Mum seems to be content with her surroundings and in good health.

My wife has now been in care for 18 months, during all that time the care and attention whenever needed has been excellent. I have always been informed of any situation or changes that have been required over this period. The staff have always been very pleasant, willing and understanding. All in all my family and I have always been very satisfied with all aspects of care my wife has received.

My mother-in-law is a resident and is looked after in a pleasant and caring environment. The staff are really nice and attentive, the food is very good and during the summer there is a lovely garden for the residents to sit in.

My Mum has been in Montrose since August 2014. All the staff, carers and management are so kind to Mum. She was so ill a couple of years ago and they couldn't do enough for her. We went round several care homes and have never regretted choosing Montrose. Mum is always treated with respect and she always looks clean and well cared for.

The home is extremely hot. Residents are taken to the basement for mealtime. The home is very noisy which is not good for someone living with dementia.

The effort they put into activity days such as their Summer Fair is incredible and it was lovely to see all the residents, carers and family members enjoying time together.

I would highly recommend Montrose to anyone!

I have visited this care home on a number of occasions and I'm very impressed. The staff are always on hand and are so very helpful. The home seems so inviting and welcoming. The décor is extremely tasteful and easy. Since my friend and colleague has been at this home, she has improved noticeably. If I had to choose a home - this would be the one.

Staff very caring plus management.

Her room is always well presented, her laundry well maintained and her personal care excellent.

Requests and medical attention is dealt with promptly. The cook does a great job too.

Well done to all, especially the manager and her senior team.

On the whole, very pleased with the home and the staff. Always kept clean, staff are attentive and welcoming. Mum has vascular dementia so I am unable to gauge any feedback from her. The only concern I have had in the last year both happened on Friday night, perhaps when there were less staff or none of the usual staff. It is by far the best home I have ever encountered.
