Although Mum only ended up staying at Ashurst Park for 3 weeks before passing on, the staff there were wonderful to deal with. They were completely open and accomodating to our own needs and requests, understanding how difficult the decision of placing a loved one into care can be for the family.

In this Covid age, we never visited Mum at Ashurst Park but set in the Kent countryside, I'm not sure that there is a lovelier place to spend our twilight years.

My father was admitted to Ashurst Park after his discharge from the hospital. The care home manager gave us great confidence when we had a meeting with her and I felt relieved that Dad was under her care. The deputy manager and the whole care team are just wonderful and treated my father with the utmost respect and dignity during his stay. They were so kind to my mother and always made her feel welcome. She always had a lovely cup of tea waiting for her and loved her chats with the staff. Dad loved the food and kept raving about it, so much so that Mum and I were tempted to book a room ourselves! I would not hesitate in recommending Ashurst Park, headed by the most amazing manager who has a brilliant team.

My mum lived at Ashurst Park Care Home for just over 2 years, she was completely immobile and had to be hoisted between bed and chair. During her time here she came to view the staff as friends, they treated her respectfully and with friendliness. We as relatives were always made to feel welcome and the staff always had time to answer any questions we had. Mum never wanted to go into the lounge and spent her time in her room and the staff always popped in regularly to have a chat with her and see if she needed anything. Having experienced other care homes with other relatives, I know that not all care homes are of the same standard, but I would highly recommend Ashurst Park Care Home to anybody considering options for their loved ones.

The care and love my Mum has received during the past couple of months has been “Second to None”. Having reached the fantastic age of 99yrs sadly her body became more and more frail, during this period everyone at Ashurst Park did their utmost to make her feel comfortable, pain-free, warm, safe and very much loved.

At no point did I feel anxious or worried about her care and all the staff from the manager down were so easy to talk to and ask questions of. The whole family are so very grateful for the compassionate way in which she was cared for. Thank you to everyone.

Staff are friendly.

The manager has his finger on the pulse. The atmosphere is 'homely' - not at all like a hospital or impersonal hotel.

Gardens are used well in the summertime with outdoor activities.

Carers put on an excellent pantomime for the residents.

My mother was admitted to Ashurst Park Care Home for end of life care.
From the first meeting with the Care Home Manager, who was warm, friendly, understanding and caring, we knew this was right for Mum.
The staff shared the same positive attitude and I couldn’t have asked for my dear mother’s care to have been any better. Her time spent in the home was sadly short, but I know she was well cared for and the staff regularly talked to her to get to know her well before her sad departing.

Sincere thanks to all of you.

The staff at Ashurst Park are amazing. They treated dad with dignity and respect. They seemed genuinely interested in him as a person, not just an old man. They were understanding and patient. His family were always made to feel welcome and towards the end, we were treated so well, nothing was too much trouble. It made things easier to hear when times were tough.

I visited six homes and discarded others which were not suitable for various reasons. I felt this one was the best for my Mother. I have not been disappointed in the last year. My Mother seems to have settled now and has built up good relationships with many of the carers.

Myself and my family find that Ashurst Park Care Home caters very well with all the needs of the residents. We have a great rapport with the Home Care manager and he supports and assists us to the best of his ability and in solving issues that arise with our mother's care.

Ashurst Park is a beautiful, well-kept home and the care management and nursing staff are polite and very helpful. We would recommend Ashurst Park to other friends and families as and when they need to look for nursing homes.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care provided ar Ashurst Park. Without exception, the staff were always kind and considerate to the family and most importantly my relative. Unfortunately, my relative died but her care at this time was excellent and enabled her to pass away peacefully.

My mum recently passed away and the care she received during her last few weeks of life in particular were second to none. We, the family, were treated so kindly, we were made to feel very special and cared for. The staff were all so respectful, let us stay day and night, they cared for us as much as Mum.

The care and support we received helped us so much through a very difficult time. We are all very grateful.
