Barty House is a well run, comfortable, safe nursing home. It is well staffed by a dedicated caring team who clearly love working here. Arriving for my post-operative stay, following a hip operation, I was welcomed into the family. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and have felt well cared for and loved. If in need of nursing help again, Barty House is definitely my first choice.

My husband was in Barty House for 4 months and the care was amazing, the food was very good and the room was very comfortable. They were so kind to me as well, they became like a family. He died in November and I can only say thank you to everyone.

My mother had a fall when she came to stay, aged 90. I needed to get her into a home urgently to recuperate and the staff at Barty House could not have been more organised or accommodating. She receives excellent care. They nursed and enabled her until she was fit enough to return home in just two weeks. Their emphasis on building confidence both physically and mentally is excellent and every member of staff was positive and caring throughout her stay. The management set very high standards of care and lead by example. I have never experienced such a good care home and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you "Barty".

In for respite and recuperation after a hip replacement, so I didn't really need much assistance, only with compression stockings and the creaming of my legs. Help needed getting in and out of bed, needed a better and more solid mattress as it sank below the wooden side bars when you sat on it.

My mother was given a very warm welcome on her arrival in August 2013. A very professional, attentive and caring service was provided to mum throughout her stay, she greatly valued the friendship and camaraderie of the nursing staff, whom she saw each day and formed close bonds with.

The nursing staff stayed with her in the closing hours and minutes of her life, and we are grateful to all of the nurses for being there with her, knowing she was not alone when she passed. Our sincere thanks.

Have enjoyed my stay. The facilities have been excellent. The staff have been wonderful with no praise high enough. Food slightly disappointing in the evenings. I would certainly recommend.

Have been very well looked after by all the friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. I found the food a little heavy but if I asked I could have something different.

My mother was brought here in February 2016. She was in a very bad condition, suffering from cancer/kidney failure and heart valve failure. Since then her heart has improved vastly with the care and attention to detail that she has received. All the staff have very open and friendly way and give help to any resident who ask, whether they be sister, nurse, secretary or administrator, they are all very willing to help all residents at all times. Well done and thank you all.

Arriving at Barty House on the 28th May 2016 I was made to feel warmly welcome. My friend left me and went home. The staff helped me to settle in and put my clothes away. The room is clean, airy and the view is splendid. A longer telephone lead would have been more convenient. A key for the safety drawer would have been useful could not be found.

Barty House is exceptional in the way the residents are cared for, looked after and treated with dignity and respect. Carers are loving and spend quality time with residents. They all have a difficult job but carry out their duties with a professional approach. from the first time you enter Barty House as a relative you are treated by all staff with a genuine smile and greeting. It is a difficult time for residents yet the facilities and daily activities are so well organised, makes everyone happy. An excellent team from everyone.

Our mother benefited from the caring environment delivered by the lovely staff at Barty House during the last 2 and a half years of her life. The surroundings, standard of care, facilities and environment of this care home are of a good standard all round and any criticisms/concerns were quickly addressed. We would recommend Barty House for quality nursing care.

My husband has been in Barty House for 4 years after a very debilitating stroke, unable to communicate, and has been cared for with extreme care and dignity. I cannot praise the staff in all areas highly enough. Barty House is a happy place, always buzzing with activities and laughter.

My mum became a resident at Barty House in November 2015 for end of life care. She passed away on 20/1/16 with the fantastic care of all the nursery staff. The staff from day one fulfilled all her wishes and treated her with the dignity and privacy that was befitting my mum and as a family we cannot praise or thank them enough.

My mum was only in Barty for seven weeks respite but it was like checking into a five star hotel! I found it to be light, airy and toasty warm. The staff were first class. Always smiling, always helpful, treating the residents with much dignity. Mum loved them, she thoroughly enjoyed the daily activities and judging by the weight she put on she loved the food. Mum really enjoyed her stay here and if I were a millionaire I would have loved her to stay forever. I would highly recommend Barty House.

My husband has been a resident since October 2014. He is well looked after by all the staff and is very happy. The carers are all very friendly and caring. If there is a problem the manager and her staff are usually able to sort it out. The food is excellent, the home is very clean and the laundry is very efficient.
