My father received the very best care at Barty House. The staff are fabulous and can always find time to answer your queries, they are unfailingly professional, friendly and kind. My father enjoyed the activities and was encouraged to join in. The surroundings and grounds are lovely and make you feel as if you are visiting a country house rather than a care home.

I never heard a cross word or nasty comment from them, even when dealing with other residents, not just my dad.

My siblings and I often met the same carers when we visited my dad and they were always accommodating and friendly. Barty seemed to use few agency staff which is always a good sign. They had an excellent range of afternoon activities, lead by a dedicated and very friendly activities team.

The facilities in the care home were always of a high standard and kept very clean.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Barty House as an excellent care home.

The food smells wonderful, and staff have been wonderfully accommodating of her likes and dislikes, as well as her freedom to make her own choices. Thank you so much!

We are in the care industry and the care that my client received was fantastic. So welcoming, approachable, caring and so compassionate at the end of her life. The care she received was out of this world. This is all down to the home managers who were always there for us. I still like to visit the home and just pop in for a chat.

In particular, we would praise the staff under the watchful eye of the manager who were great with dad and us making it easy also to spend those last vital days continually with dad.

Barty House is a well run, comfortable, safe nursing home. It is well staffed by a dedicated caring team who clearly love working here. Arriving for my post-operative stay, following a hip operation, I was welcomed into the family. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and have felt well cared for and loved. If in need of nursing help again, Barty House is definitely my first choice.

My husband was in Barty House for 4 months and the care was amazing, the food was very good and the room was very comfortable. They were so kind to me as well, they became like a family. He died in November and I can only say thank you to everyone.

My mother had a fall when she came to stay, aged 90. I needed to get her into a home urgently to recuperate and the staff at Barty House could not have been more organised or accommodating. She receives excellent care. They nursed and enabled her until she was fit enough to return home in just two weeks. Their emphasis on building confidence both physically and mentally is excellent and every member of staff was positive and caring throughout her stay. The management set very high standards of care and lead by example. I have never experienced such a good care home and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you "Barty".

My mother was treated with great care, love, and dignity in the last stages of her life. My family and I have nothing but admiration for all the staff at Barty.

In for respite and recuperation after a hip replacement, so I didn't really need much assistance, only with compression stockings and the creaming of my legs. Help needed getting in and out of bed, needed a better and more solid mattress as it sank below the wooden side bars when you sat on it.

The nursing staff stayed with her in the closing hours and minutes of her life, and we are grateful to all of the nurses for being there with her, knowing she was not alone when she passed. Our sincere thanks.

Have enjoyed my stay. The facilities have been excellent. The staff have been wonderful with no praise high enough. Food slightly disappointing in the evenings. I would certainly recommend.

Have been very well looked after by all the friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. I found the food a little heavy but if I asked I could have something different.

It has been very nice, comfortable. Could not have wished for better had I been in a hotel.

My mother was brought here in February 2016. She was in a very bad condition, suffering from cancer/kidney failure and heart valve failure. Since then her heart has improved vastly with the care and attention to detail that she has received. All the staff have very open and friendly way and give help to any resident who ask, whether they be sister, nurse, secretary or administrator, they are all very willing to help all residents at all times. Well done and thank you all.

Arriving at Barty House on the 28th May 2016 I was made to feel warmly welcome. My friend left me and went home. The staff helped me to settle in and put my clothes away. The room is clean, airy and the view is splendid. A longer telephone lead would have been more convenient. A key for the safety drawer would have been useful could not be found.

Barty House is exceptional in the way the residents are cared for, looked after and treated with dignity and respect. Carers are loving and spend quality time with residents. They all have a difficult job but carry out their duties with a professional approach. from the first time you enter Barty House as a relative you are treated by all staff with a genuine smile and greeting. It is a difficult time for residents yet the facilities and daily activities are so well organised, makes everyone happy. An excellent team from everyone.

Barty House has a warm and friendly feel and the staff are always helpful. It's nice that I can bring my dog in to see my mother as she really enjoys seeing her.

Our mother benefited from the caring environment delivered by the lovely staff at Barty House during the last 2 and a half years of her life. The surroundings, standard of care, facilities and environment of this care home are of a good standard all round and any criticisms/concerns were quickly addressed. We would recommend Barty House for quality nursing care.
