My dad has been a resident of Eaton Lodge for just over a year. Not only do they look after dad well but also mum and other family members when they visit and are always made welcome by the staff and a cup of tea.


There are activities organised by the entertainment manager which has seen them do

different activities and celebrate special days such as Saints Days, Easter and I am sure next week the coronation. Birthdays are a big thing celebrated in style too.


I am happy with the care given and received at Eaton Lodge except for one thing. There are times when despite everything being labelled dad is not wearing his own clothes or we see other residents in dad's clothes. It doesn't seem to be a priority but I feel the residents lose a bit of dignity when wearing someone else's clothes. I asked dad what he thought and he said it is a first class place, with first class food, always clean and tidy and he feels looked after well and says the staff can't do enough for him. Thanks.

During my mother in laws short stay at Eaton Lodge she was cared for by staff who made the effort to get to know her and make her comfortable, and as a family we felt that we were always welcome to visit her at any time. We feel that we chose the right place for mum to spend her last days.

My mum was in a home 70 miles from her home which made it very difficult to visit her, and her health deteriorated rapidly. Eaton Lodge staff helped to have her transferred to their residential premises in October 2022. Her whole demeanour changed, she was talking, smiling, and from time to time recognised
family when they visited. She was taking part in activities that the staff were helping her with. She had a lovely Christmas. During January she started to deteriorate, the care they gave was second to none, they were amazing. She passed away the day before her 88th birthday. They helped organise her leaving the home. They will never be forgotten. Our family will be forever grateful to them.

My husband was only in Eaton Lodge for two weeks but all the staff were very kind and caring. I cannot fault them or the home. They made Richard's last 2 weeks alive the best they possibly could. I am so very grateful to them all.

All the staff are very caring and attentive to my parents' needs. Dad has been at Eaton Lodge since April 2020 and Mum joined him in November 2022. Dad joining in Covid was such a stressful time but the staff were so kind and helpful and when Mum needed care they were so supportive and accommodating.
Mum and Dad are sharing a room and I've been able to bring things from their home to make it a comforting and homely space for them. They both really like the food and Mum's mental state has improved considerably since being here. Dad isn't always the easiest to look after but they treat him (and Mum) with compassion and dignity. It helps that I can visit at any time too.

The staff are very welcoming, thoughtful and caring towards clients. They are always asked whether they would like to meet Luigi (pat dog) and if he is welcome to come close to them.
Client's needs are attended to quickly and facilities are good as are activities so we have plenty to chat about.
I
cannot rate food or drink or value for money as I have not experienced either.

My father was at Eaton Lodge for around five months, he had late-stage dementia, and though it wasn't his fault, he was not an easy patient. I never saw the staff and the manager at Eaton Lodge get frustrated with him or treat him with anything less than kindness. They were professional, extremely hardworking,
sensitive and compassionate, and they were lovely to me and my mum too. I would recommend the staff at Eaton Lodge to anyone without hesitation. My one reservation was with the owner of the home. We received funding from the council that was paid directly to the home, and he should have paid straight to us. At a time of considerable stress and pain, the owner, week after week, month after month, didn't pay us the money he owed. It was only when the government sent a letter asking for a written confirmation of money paid that he at once stumped up the funds.

We found a vast improvement from previous owners. The staff were very good and happy to make the residents and visitors welcome and open to any suggestions, that might make the resident's stay as good as it can be. Their standards are very high in all departments, for example, cleanliness, food and

It has been a very good experience for myself and my brother to be cared for in Eaton Lodge Nursing Home for the last three weeks of his life. I compliment the nursing and care staff for their excellent standard of care and loving attention. The homely atmosphere of this home was very much felt. The

Eaton Lodge Nursing Home is a very nice and friendly home. Staff are always helpful and friendly. I am sure my mum is being well looked after there. The care home is not far from where I live in Herne Bay so we can visit and see Mum more easily.

My mum lived at Eaton Lodge for six years until she passed away in December. I always found the staff really caring, friendly and competent and I was always confident that she was well cared for, and that the levels of personal and personalised care were very good. There is a lovely atmosphere at Eaton
Lodge. It is a very welcoming place for residents and for relatives. The staff treated my mum with kindness, patience and warmth. I could always visit at any time and mum was allowed to have anything she wanted there that suited her needs. My mum's health was very poor when she moved there, but over the six years of her stay her general health improved due to diligent and attentive care and kindness.

Since my nan moved here from her previous care home we have noticed a significant improvement in her personal care. Her strength has improved and is much more settled. In the previous care home, she had three accidents in 9 weeks. In this home, nothing but care for her needs.

The home provided comfort, support, and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff respected and were patient when dealing with my relative. Their care for family at a difficult time was extremely good. They enquired about his needs and did their best to cater to them. We were kept informed as to the situation

The nursing home seems to be understaffed.
Staff are always welcoming, friendly and happy to give out information about the resident being visited. The staff are kind and compassionate and give the impression they genuinely care about those living in the facility, but they always seem very pushed for
time, and day staff often appear quite stressed.
Sometimes there seems to be a lack of communication between staff. Health concerns may be written down by one person but not followed through.
Often paperwork recording food and drink consumed and personal care is not accurately filled in.
There have been occasions when temporary/agency staff (senior and junior) have been unaware of specific residents requirements.
I am hoping that the standard of care will improve with the newly appointed head nurse or I may be looking to move my relative elsewhere.

My husband has lived in Eaton Lodge for a year now and though he still can't speak, use his right leg or arm, he seems very happy in himself. He enjoys a joke with the staff in his own way and it's never too much trouble to get him into his wheelchair so I can take him out down the nearby beach. I visit
every day and the staff always greet me and tell me how he is. If I have a weepy day, they are always ready with a hug and a tissue. The home may not be posh but the love and care is fantastic.
