Mum came to Highfield Care Home after a long stay in hospital. We are very happy with all aspects of Highfield Care. Mum is well looked after and enjoys the lovely home cooked meals. The staff are all lovely and very caring and attentive to the residents. Mum has the choice of joining in with a wide
range of activities that are organised by a lovely activity organiser.

My mum came here over 12 months ago with a fractured spine and very poorly managed health conditions.
The staff here at the home, especially the nurses have been able to improve my mums conditions over time. They support her needs with great detail and management.
The carers are all very friendly
and helpful and the Manager Anil, is happy to support with any concerns or questions you may have.
I would recommend this care home and caring service for yourself of a loved one. They all take great pride in every aspect of their role.
My mum has now moved to a home closer to family, but the care and support here has been incredibly grateful.
Thank you ALL for all your efforts and friendship.
Reply from Anil Sohun, Manager at Orchard Lodge Care Home (Nursing)Thank you for taking the time to share your kind and thoughtful review of Orchard Lodge Care Home. Your feedback means a great deal to me and the whole team.
I am very pleased to hear that our nurses and care staff were able to support your mum and help improve her health and wellbeing. Your kind comments about the friendliness and dedication of our team are truly appreciated.
I'm also glad that I was able to support you with any questions or concerns during your mum's stay. Open communication with families is very important to us.

My elderly father who has dementia has been living here for over a year now & it really is a decent place. He is well cared for, happy & loved.
He is fed well, the rooms are fine & there doesn't seem to be the high turnover of staff that you seem to often get at other care homes.

Amazing! Our Dad moved another home and in 2 weeks he has been taken off all unnecessary medication which they think contributed to headaches and aggression and it has helped him so much. Anil (Manager) and Sara are fantastic could not ask for better management and all carers actually care- We cannot
fault anything so far. Don't be fooled by the old building as it's just a building- it's the staff that make the difference. Thank you all at Orchard Lodge for putting time and effort into our Dad. You are angels!
Reply from Anil Sohun, Manager at Orchard Lodge Care Home (Nursing)Dear Kira,
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Reading your review truly means a great deal to me & to the whole team here at Orchard Lodge.
I'm so pleased that your dad's settled in well & that the medication review has made such a positive difference to his wellbeing. We strongly believe in working closely with GPs, healthcare professionals & the family to ensure every resident's care is regularly reviewed & tailored to their individual needs. Seeing the improvement in your dad & knowing he is feeling more comfortable & content is exactly what we do.
Your comments about Sara & the team are deeply appreciated. I'm very proud of our staff they show genuine compassion, patience & dedication every single day.
Thank you for placing your trust in us & for recognising the time, effort & heart the team puts into caring for your dad. It's a privilege to care for your dad, and we'll continue to do everything we can to ensure he remains happy & well cared for

We always have a very nice welcome and experience when we come to visit our Auntie.
She has a lot of praise for the team at Eaton Lodge.
We also really appreciate emails that contain details of the magazine and social events, the comments of the residents and the Eaton Lodge employees, carers and team.
It's nice to know as well what is up and coming and to see the items and services that are available to book etc.
It's nice to see our relative involved and happy and to see her fellow residents and to sometimes read their stories and details of celebrations etc.

On all my monthly visits the staff I met, without exception, treated me with respect and dignity. I was asked if I knew the way to my friend's room. I was often asked if I would like a drink. My resident friend, despite sometimes being a little obstreperous, was also treated respectfully and dealt with
in a dignified way. Over time I got to know the manager. She took a personal interest in my friend (and very possibly, I think, every resident). She always greeted and treated me with kind deference.

When visiting my friend I was kept up to date by staff of any up and coming hospital appointments and all things concerning health and medication. The staff were very polite and seemed happy to engage with the residents. My friend can be very particular about his food choices and his belongings being
moved, staff were very accepting and respectful regarding this and did their best to accommodate his choices and opinions. There was a happy vibe in the care home which was nice to see!
