After nearly 8 months of visiting Eaton Lodge regularly I am still very impressed by how well everything is managed. The staff are all amazing and I am very grateful for the way they respect and care for my mum and all the residents I see them interacting with.

My mum also says how much she likes it there and how lucky she feels to be there which gives me peace of mind.

Staff are friendly, caring and are always on hand to help. Nothing seems too much trouble and they are sympathetic to mums needs. The environment is secure clean and it feels like home rather than a large, unwelcoming place. My mother feels settled

My elderly father who has dementia has been living here for over a year now & it really is a decent place. He is well cared for, happy & loved.

He is fed well, the rooms are fine & there doesn't seem to be the high turnover of staff that you seem to often get at other care homes.

My brother-in-law has received consistently good care and speaks very highly of the staff and facilities.
My brother-in-law celebrated his birthday this month and was delighted with the homemade birthday cake and the thoughtful way the staff celebrated his birthday.

We are pleased my brother-in-law is settled.

The best nursing home I've visited!

The staff are so friendly and attentive to my uncle's needs. He;s only got praises for everyone. I've also had a great experience with the staff. Invited to Christmas dinner and cake for my uncle's Birthday. They know how to go the extra mile.

We always have a very nice welcome and experience when we come to visit our Auntie.
She has a lot of praise for the team at Eaton Lodge.
We also really appreciate emails that contain details of the magazine and social events, the comments of the residents and the Eaton Lodge employees, carers and team.
It's nice to know as well what is up and coming and to see the items and services that are available to book etc.

It's nice to see our relative involved and happy and to see her fellow residents and to sometimes read their stories and details of celebrations etc.

When visiting my friend I was kept up to date by staff of any up and coming hospital appointments and all things concerning health and medication. The staff were very polite and seemed happy to engage with the residents. My friend can be very particular about his food choices and his belongings being moved, staff were very accepting and respectful regarding this and did their best to accommodate his choices and opinions. There was a happy vibe in the care home which was nice to see!

I travelled from Aberdeen Scotland with my son to see my mum. I stayed in Trent for a week in that week I saw her 4 times and every time I turned up with my son to see her she was complaining. She was very hot. My mum cannot get out of bed. The heating was on and all the windows closed. I had to open them. I mentioned this to the staff on several occasions, they said they would tell other staff, but still windows were shut on every visit on a very warm day, and the juice jug was away from my mums reach. Nurses need to fill the juice cups and put it on a table so my mum has plenty to drink in hot weather, as the juice jug is kept far across the room where my mum cannot reach. Thank you.

Care for my 95 year old mother is excellent, the staff are attentive and respectful. The management team are always helpful and knowledgeable and keep us informed of any issues or changes in mothers condition. The staff also provide daily activities which are fun, engaging and well received, especially helpful when dealing with advanced dementia.

Very happy with the care, staff and facilities.

Review from P M (Sister of Resident) published on 3 January 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Eaton Lodge is a smaller care home, this is reflected in the homely atmosphere it has, welcoming staff that are there to listen and help you with any questions you may have, they take time to get to know each resident, their likes and dislikes. My relative has not been the easiest to care for when first arriving at the home, but all the staff have been patient and very understanding when caring. The meals are good, and the chef will always try and give my relative what is liked. Eaton Lodge has lots of activities going on, and the activities manager always looks to find something that my relative would like to get involved in when possible, even if staying in bed and in the room. As a relative I get regular updates via email about things that are planned for the residents, which is good to know as you are welcome to join in. Over all I find Eaton Lodge to be a warm and friendly home, it may be smaller in size, but it is big on care, and my relative is happy and content there.

What a wonderful home. The kind caring compassionate staff (from manager to cleaner) are second to none. Having worked in several and visited some I have never seen such a good team as this one. You would have to go a long way to get a better one. They go out of their way to welcome us when we visit, and to make sure my aunt is comfortable. Well done to all of the staff.

I find the staff most helpful friendly and likeable. My nan is being looked after with care by genuine people, and as visitors we are always treated well and looked after, and that extends to the broader team such as cleaning and maintenance staff. The home feels clean and safe with a patient focused activity planner which is varied and fun.

From my experience, when visiting, I have always found all the staff very welcoming and friendly. I am always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much bother for them. The whole atmosphere is very homely. My sister always looks clean and well cared for. She does enjoy her food and looks forward to her meals. They always look very tasty and I know she enjoys them. She has the opportunity to join in with the many varied activities. I am always kept up to date with what is happening and also receive lovely pictures of the events. When I visit, I am always offered a cup of tea or coffee, which I think is such a nice gesture and is much appreciated.
