My very first visit to see my step-sister could not have gone any better as I could not have seen her looking more comfortable in her surroundings and taking away all my anxieties as to how she would accept her new surroundings. She said how well she was looked after and I can only say how kind all the staff were to me during my visit.
I am always happy with the care he receives and feel certain he will be safe in your care.
He enjoys his stays, the accommodation is spacious, staff friendly and he feels secure knowing he has people on hand to care for him. Thank you.
The refurbishment has made the home very good looking. Staff are lovely and the new management is also excellent. Nice to see the activities on the Facebook page.
Food is excellent, care is very good, friendly staff and plenty of activities for residents to get involved in. Rooms are spacious and airy and relatively clean. Garden is peaceful.
Our mum moved into Miramar Signature in January 2018 and all was fine until Avery Health took over. We felt, as a family, the management extremely poor and never enough staff to tend to the nursing unit where our mum was a resident. CQC has been involved along with safeguarding after many complaints from staff and ourselves. Then we’re told in March they were evicting all nursing residents and new homes had to be found by the 26th April 2019. Even though a big issue for our Mum to be moved we feel that she is safer and will be well looked after and we can go home knowing mum is in good hands and not have to worry anymore. Family left very dissatisfied with Avery Health at the Miramar.
My mother had to be moved from her last care home and we chose this one after looking at more than 5 others in the local area. The staff are friendly, welcoming and very caring. The room is clean and the menu is lovely. My mother has improved and now gets up every day to participate in activities and soft diet. Thank you.
Thank you for your review Linda, we are all so happy that your mum is with us enjoying our activities and everything else we offer.
From initial contact to settling in to care home life they have shown great empathy for my elderly mother and I feel very reassured she is benefiting from good nursing care and a diverse range of activities provided by the home, together with excellent food.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Signature Miramar.
Thank you to all the staff.
It has been our pleasure to care for your mother and thank you, Gordon, for your kind review.
My father has been a resident in the Cyprus Suite for 6 months. He was admitted with severe vascular dementia but over this period his overall health and wellbeing has improved. The staff are kind, professional, caring, attentive and treat him as though he was their own relative. Nothing is too much trouble for them. He is encouraged to join in the daily activities and has been on several trips out. He is very happy there. Both staff and management have been extremely welcoming, caring and helpful to us in what has been a difficult time. The overall atmosphere in the care home is excellent and I would highly recommend the Signature Miramar.
Thank you for your review David, your dad is a true gent and has been an absolute pleasure to care for.
My mother spent 4 weeks in the Miramar recovering from a hospital visit. The staff are professional, helpful, caring, attentive and are genuinely interested in the person they are caring for. This is extended to any family/friends that visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The entertainment is fantastic and I would highly recommend Signature Miramar.
Thank you Vanessa. Your mum was a delight to have here with us, we all loved having her stay with us and look forward to seeing her and you again in the future.
My stay at The Miramar proved pleasant in every way. All the staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was excellent. I would not hesitate to return for another visit.
Thank you for your kind review Gillian. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and you are always welcome to stay with us in the future.
My late husband spent the last 5 years at the Miramar. I couldn't have asked for better care for him. All the staff were wonderful, so patient on the difficult days. The staff were so caring for all of us as a family too. I will always be grateful for the support and genuine kindness shown especially during his last days.
Thank you for your kind words about our team, we will all miss your husband and we would love you to pop in for a cup of tea with us anytime.
My parents have been residents for a little over a year and have received good care. Any issues I have had have been dealt with swiftly especially in more recent times. The accommodation is is of a high standard and the staff are friendly and approachable.
Thank you for kind review Sally
My father and his wife have been at the Signature Miramar for approx 3 months and I am very pleased with the care they are receiving. They are finding it a little difficult to adjust to the change but I am confident they will settle in.
The staff treat them with respect and compassion and seem to be genuinely interested in their well-being, they are encouraged to take part in activities. The food is very good and varied. The building is modern, clean and fresh. The apartments are spacious and pleasant to be in. I have no complaints.
Thank you for your kind review Carol, I'm sure we can all make them feel at home with time.
A recently trained nurse has expanded her role to incorporate massages for residents. She has been treating me several times so far and I find it very beneficial and relaxing. She is very professional in her approach and very caring.
Thank you very much for your kind review Hilary and I'm sure the nurse in question will be delighted that what she is doing is appreciated.
I've found that my friend has had very good care and seems a lot better health wise since he arrived here.
Thank you for review Sylvia, next time you are here visiting your friend I would love to take the opportunity to see how we can improve your friends experience further.
I can, in all honesty, say that in all the time my friend has been in this care home, I have had no reason to complain at all. The service offered is first-rate, the staff are friendly and evidently very caring. My friend's physical wellbeing is clearly paramount to the staff but so too is his mental and emotional wellbeing, and to this end, the staff frequently try to involve him in one or more of the many organised in-house activities.
I am always kept informed by telephone of any problems regarding my friend's health or wellbeing, for which I am grateful.
I have nothing but the highest praise for this particular care home.
Thank you for your very kind review.
A pleasant and helpful stay when I needed it to assist my recovery after a major operation. Kind and very courteous treatment by all staff.
Thank you for your kind words.
Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff involved in her care and support were so friendly, but at the same time so professional.
A particularly noticeable feature was that the staff themselves treated my mother as though she was their own, and at her life's end, it was so touching to see them visibly affected, despite dealing with life's end being an obvious part of their duties.
A very big thank you in particular to the client liaison manager whose efficiency and professionalism ensured mum's easy transition from hospital (with its inevitable hurdles to jump ) to the Miramar-again nothing was too much trouble and her last few weeks of life were so peaceful and happy.
Having experienced on a daily basis the way the Miramar is run it would be the place should I need care that I would wish to retire to.
Thank you for your kind review and I know I speak for everyone at the Miramar when I say it was a privilege to support you and your Mother at such an important time.
However, my genuine requests are usually dealt with exceptionally, I am never made to feel that I am being unreasonable.
The home is always comfortably warm and the grounds are well kept and safe for elderly people to wonder about. At least as well as I kept my own garden.
I have lived at Signature Miramar 2 1/2 years and find it comfortable, friendly and well run. The care team and nurses are efficient and kindly and available 24/7. Residents meetings are held 3 times monthly - general management, food and beverages and activities and discussions take place with the management team. The restaurant is pleasant, the staff are helpful and the three cooked meals are varied and with a good choice on the menu for each course. There are daily activities of a very varied type and trips are arranged using the Signature Miramar mini bus. I am happy here and consider myself fortunate to be a resident.
